1 ஆண்டவருக்குப் புதியதொரு பாடல் பாடுங்கள்;

ஏனெனில், அவர் வியத்தகு செயல்கள் புரிந்துள்ளார்.

அவருடைய வலக் கரமும் புனிதமிகு புயமும்

அவருக்கு வெற்றியை அளித்துள்ளன. -பல்லவி 

2 ஆண்டவர் தம் மீட்பை அறிவித்தார்;

பிற இனத்தார் கண்முன்னே தம் நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

3 இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாருக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட தமது பேரன்பையும்

உறுதிமொழியையும் அவர் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார். -பல்லவி 

3 உலகெங்குமுள அனைவரும் நம் கடவுள் அருளிய விடுதலையைக் கண்டனர்.

4 உலகெங்கும் வாழ்வோரே! அனைவரும் ஆண்டவரை ஆர்ப்பரித்துப் பாடுங்கள்!

அன்பிற்குரியவர்களே, இயேசு `மெசியா' அல்ல என்று மறுப்போரைத் தவிர வேறு யார் பொய்யர்? தந்தையையும் மகனையும் மறுப்போர்தாம் எதிர்க் கிறிஸ்துகள். மகனை மறுதலிப்போர் தந்தையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை; மகனை ஏற்று அறிக்கையிடுவோர் தந்தையையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கின்றனர். தொடக்கத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் கேட்டறிந்தது உங்களுள் நிலைத்திருக்கட்டும்; தொடக்கத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் கேட்டறிந்தது உங்களுள் நிலைத்திருந்தால் நீங்கள் மகனுடனும் தந்தையுடனும் இணைந்திருப்பீர்கள். அவரே நமக்கு வாக்குறுதி அளித்துள்ளார். அவ்வாக்குறுதி நிலைவாழ்வு பற்றியதாகும். உங்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறவர்களை மனத்தில் கொண்டு இவற்றை உங்களுக்கு எழுதியுள்ளேன். நீங்கள் அவரிடமிருந்து பெற்றுக்கொண்ட அருள்பொழிவு உங்களுள் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது. அதனால் உங்களுக்கு எவரும் கற்பிக்க வேண்டிய தேவையில்லை. மாறாக, நீங்கள் அவரிடமிருந்து பெற்றுக்கொண்ட அருள்பொழிவால் அனைத்தையும் கற்றுக் கொள்கிறீர்கள். அவ்வருள்பொழிவு உண்மையானது; பொய்யானது அல்ல. நீங்கள் கற்றுக்கொண்டதற்கேற்ப அவரோடு இணைந்து வாழுங்கள். ஆகவே, பிள்ளைகளே, அவர் தோன்றும்போது நாம் உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருக்கவும் அவருடைய வருகையின்போது வெட்கி விலகாதிருக்கவும் அவரோடு இணைந்து வாழுங்கள்.

The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem and found the baby lying in the manger.

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St.Luke 2:16-21 

The shepherds hurried away to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. When they saw the child they repeated what they had been told about him, and everyone who heard it was astonished at what the shepherds had to say. As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen; it was exactly as they had been told.

  When the eighth day came and the child was to be circumcised, they gave him the name Jesus, the name the angel had given him before his conception.

A Reading from the Letter of St.Paul to Galatians 4:4-7 

When the appointed time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born a subject of the Law, to redeem the subjects of the Law and to enable us to be adopted as sons. The proof that you are sons is that God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts: the Spirit that cries, ‘Abba, Father’, and it is this that makes you a son, you are not a slave any more; and if God has made you son, then he has made you heir.

They are to call down my name on the sons of Israel, and I will bless them.

A Reading from the Book of Numbers 6:22-27 

The Lord spoke to Moses and said, ‘Say this to Aaron and his sons: “This is how you are to bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them:

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord let his face shine on you and be gracious to you.

May the Lord uncover his face to you and bring you peace.”

This is how they are to call down my name on the sons of Israel, and I will bless them.’

மரியாவையும் யோசேப்பையும் குழந்தையையும் கண்டார்கள். எட்டாம் நாள் அதற்கு இயேசு என்று பெயரிட்டார்கள்.

லூக்கா எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 16-21

அக்காலத்தில்

இடையர்கள் பெத்லகேமுக்கு விரைந்து சென்று, மரியாவையும் யோசேப்பையும் தீவனத் தொட்டியில் கிடத்தியிருந்த குழந்தையையும் கண்டார்கள். பின்பு அந்தக் குழந்தையைப் பற்றித் தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்ட செய்தியைத் தெரிவித்தார்கள். அதைக் கேட்ட யாவரும், இடையர்கள் தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னவற்றைக் குறித்து வியப்படைந்தனர். ஆனால் மரியா இந்நிகழ்ச்சிகளையெல்லாம் தம் உள்ளத்தில் இருத்திச் சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார். இடையர்கள் தாங்கள் கேட்டவை, கண்டவை அனைத்தையும் குறித்துக் கடவுளைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்ந்து பாடிக்கொண்டே திரும்பிச் சென்றார்கள். அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டவாறு எல்லாம் நிகழ்ந்திருந்தது.

குழந்தைக்கு விருத்தசேதனம் செய்யவேண்டிய எட்டாம் நாள் வந்தது. தாயின் வயிற்றில் உருவாகுமுன்பே வானதூதர் சொல்லியிருந்தவாறு அதற்கு இயேசு என்று பெயரிட்டார்கள்.
