"You will know what surpasses all knowledge: the love of Christ" 

Reading from the letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Ephesians (3, 8-12.14-19) 

Brothers, to me who am truly the smallest of all the faithful, the grace has been given to announce to the nations the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for all the content of the mystery which has always been hidden in God. , the creator of all things; thus, henceforth, the Heavenly Powers themselves know, thanks to the Church, the multiple aspects of the Wisdom of God. It is the eternal plan that God has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord. And our faith in Christ gives us the assurance we need to come to God with confidence. This is why I fall on my knees before the Father, from whom all fatherhood in heaven and on earth takes its name. He who is so rich in glory, that he gives you the power of his Spirit, so that the inner man may be strengthened in you.

May Christ dwell in your hearts by faith; stay rooted in love, established in love. Thus you will be able to understand with all the faithful what is the width, the length, the height, the depth… You will know what exceeds all knowledge: the love of Christ. Then you will be filled until you come into all the fullness of God.

A Reading from the book of the prophet Hosea (11, 1.3-4.8c-9) 

Thus says the Lord: Yea, I loved Israel from his infancy, and to bring them out of Egypt I called my son. It was I who taught him to walk, supporting him with my arms, and he did not understand that I was coming to his aid. I guided him with humanity, by bonds of love; I treated him like an infant lifted up against his cheek; I leaned over to feed him. But they refused to come back to me: will I deliver them to punishment?

No ! My heart turns against me; at the same time, my insides quiver. I will not act according to the fierceness of my anger, nor will I destroy Israel any more, for I am God, and not man: in the midst of you I am the holy God, and I do not come to exterminate.

இயேசு தம் சீடரை நோக்கிக் கூறியது: “மறைநூல் அறிஞர், பரிசேயர் ஆகியோரின் நெறியைவிட உங்கள் நெறி சிறந்திருக்கட்டும். இல்லையெனில், நீங்கள் விண்ணரசுக்குள் புக முடியாது என உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.

‘கொலை செய்யாதே; கொலை செய்கிறவர் எவரும் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவர்’ என்று முற்காலத்தவர்க்குக் கூறப்பட்டிருப்பதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: தம் சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளிடம் சினங்கொள்கிறவர் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவார்; தம் சகோதரரையோ சகோதரியையோ ‘முட்டாளே’ என்பவர் தலைமைச் சங்கத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவார்; ‘அறிவிலியே’ என்பவர் எரிநரகத்துக்கு ஆளாவார்.

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் உங்கள் காணிக்கையைப் பலிபீடத்தில் செலுத்த வரும்பொழுது உங்கள் சகோதரர் சகோதரிகள் எவருக்கும் உங்கள் மேல் ஏதோ மனத்தாங்கல் உண்டென அங்கே நினைவுற்றால், அங்கேயே பலி பீடத்தின்முன் உங்கள் காணிக்கையை வைத்துவிட்டுப் போய் முதலில் அவரிடம் நல்லுறவு ஏற்படுத்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள். பின்பு வந்து உங்கள் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்துங்கள்.

உங்கள் எதிரி உங்களை நீதி மன்றத்துக்குக் கூட்டிச் செல்லும்போது வழியிலேயே அவருடன் விரைவாக உடன்பாடு செய்துகொள்ளுங்கள். இல்லையேல் உங்கள் எதிரி நடுவரிடம் உங்களை ஒப்படைப்பார். நடுவர் காவலரிடம் ஒப்படைக்க, நீங்கள் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்படுவீர்கள். கடைசிக் காசு வரை திருப்பிச் செலுத்தாமல் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேற மாட்டீர்கள் என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.”

"Any man who gets angry with his brother will have to stand trial" 

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Matthew (5, 20-26) 

At that time, Jesus was saying to his disciples, “I say to you: If your righteousness does not exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of Heaven.

You have heard that it was said to the ancients: You shall not murder, and if anyone does murder, he will have to stand trial. Well ! I say to you: Anyone who is angry with his brother must stand trial. If someone insults his brother, he will have to go to court. If anyone calls him crazy, he will be liable to Gehenna by fire. So, when you go to present your gift at the altar, if there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, first go and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and present your offering. Quickly agree with your adversary while you are on the way with him, so that your adversary does not deliver you to the judge, the judge to the guard, and that you do not throw you in prison. Amen, I tell you: you won't get out until you've paid every last penny. "

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

இன்றுவரை மோசேயின் திருச்சட்டம் வாசிக்கப்படும் போதெல்லாம் அவர்களின் உள்ளத்தை ஒரு திரை மூடி இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் ஆண்டவர்பால் திரும்பினால் அந்தத் திரை அகற்றப்படும். இங்கே ஆண்டவர் என்பது தூய ஆவியாரைக் குறிக்கிறது. ஆண்டவரின் ஆவியார் இருக்குமிடத்தில் விடுதலை உண்டு. இப்போது நாம் அனைவரும் முக்காடு இல்லா முகத்தினராய் ஆண்டவரின் மாட்சியைப் பிரதிபலிக்கிறோம். இவ்வாறு மேன்மேலும் மாட்சி பெற்று, அவர் சாயலாக மாற்றமடைகிறோம். இவையெல்லாம் ஆவியாம் ஆண்டவரின் செயலே.

கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தால் நாங்கள் இத்திருப்பணியைப் பெற்றிருக்கிறோம். ஆகையால் மனந்தளராமல் இருக்கிறோம். நாங்கள் அறிவிக்கும் நற்செய்தி அழிவுறுவோருக்கே அன்றி வேறு எவருக்கும் மறைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கவில்லை. இவ்வுலகின் தெய்வம் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிராதோரின் அறிவுக் கண்களைக் குருடாக்கிவிட்டது. எனவே அவர்கள் கடவுளின் சாயலாய் விளங்கும் கிறிஸ்துவின் மாட்சி பொருந்திய நற்செய்தி ஒளியைக் காண முடிவதில்லை.

நாங்கள் எங்களைப் பற்றி அல்ல, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைப் பற்றியே அறிவிக்கிறோம்; அவரே ஆண்டவர் எனப் பறைசாற்றி வருகிறோம். நாங்கள் இயேசுவின் பொருட்டு வந்த உங்கள் பணியாளர்களே. “இருளிலிருந்து ஒளி தோன்றுக!” என்று சொன்ன கடவுளே எங்கள் உள்ளங்களில் அவரது ஒளியை வீசச் செய்தார். அது கிறிஸ்துவின் திருமுகத்தில் வீசும் கடவுளின் மாட்சியாகிய அறிவொளியே.
