Bless the Lord, O my soul,

bless his most holy name, my whole being!

Bless the Lord, O my soul,

do not forget any of his blessings! R 

For he forgives all your trespasses

and heals you from all sickness;

he claims your life at the grave

and crowns you with love and tenderness. R 

The Lord is tenderness and pity,

slow to anger and full of love;

he is not forever on trial,

does not endlessly maintain his reproaches. R 

As the sky dominates the earth,

strong is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east from the west

he puts our sins far from us. R

FIRST READING 

"He who has not known sin, God has identified him with sin for us" 

A Reading of the second letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Corinthians 5: 14-21 

Brothers,

    the love of Christ seizes us

when we think that one has died for all,

and that therefore all have passed through death.

    For Christ died for all,

so that the living no longer have their lives centered on themselves,

but on him, who died and rose for them.

    Now we no longer look at anyone

in a simply human way:

if we have known Christ in this way,

now we no longer know him in this way .

    So if anyone is in Christ,

he is a new creation.

The old world is gone,

a new world has already been born

    All this comes from God:

he reconciled us to him through Christ,

and he gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

    For it is indeed God

who, in Christ, reconciled the world with him:

he did not take account of faults,

and he placed in us the word of reconciliation.

    We are therefore Christ's ambassadors,

and through us it is God himself who launches an appeal:

we ask it in the name of Christ,

let yourselves be reconciled with God.

    He who has not known sin,

God has identified him with sin for us,

so that in him we may become righteous

from the very righteousness of God.

ஜூன்  11 :  நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

இயேசுவின் விலாவை ஈட்டியால் குத்தினார். உடனே இரத்தமும் தண்ணீரும் வடிந்தன.

யோவான் எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 19: 31-37

அன்று பாஸ்கா விழாவுக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யும் நாள். அடுத்த நாள் ஓய்வு நாளாகவும் பெருநாளாகவும் இருந்தது. எனவே அன்று சிலுவையில் உடல்கள் தொங்கலாகா என்பதற்காகக் கால்களை முறித்துச் சடலங்களை எடுத்துவிடுமாறு யூதர்கள் பிலாத்திடம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள்.

ஆகவே படைவீரர் வந்து இயேசுவோடு சிலுவையில் அறையப் பட்டிருந்தவருள் ஒருவனுடைய கால்களை முதலில் முறித்தார்கள்; பின்னர் மற்றவனுடைய கால்களையும் முறித்தார்கள். பின்பு அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்தார்கள். அவர் ஏற்கெனவே இறந்து போயிருந்ததைக் கண்டு அவருடைய கால்களை முறிக்கவில்லை. ஆனால் படைவீரருள் ஒருவர் இயேசுவின் விலாவை ஈட்டியால் குத்தினார் உடனே இரத்தமும் தண்ணீரும் வடிந்தன.

இதை நேரில் கண்டவரே இதற்குச் சாட்சி. அவரது சான்று உண்மையானதே. அவர் உண்மையையே கூறுகிறார் என்பது அவருக்குத் தெரியும். நீங்களும் நம்ப வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே அவர் இதைக் கூறுகிறார். “எந்த எலும்பும் முறிபடாது” என்னும் மறைநூல் வாக்கு இவ்வாறு நிறைவேறியது. மேலும் “தாங்கள் ஊடுருவக் குத்தியவரை உற்றுநோக்குவார்கள்” என்றும் மறைநூல் கூறுகிறது.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

அறிவுக்கு எட்டாத இந்த அன்பை அறிந்துகொள்ளும் ஆற்றல் பெறுவீர்களாக!

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் எபேசியருக்கு எழுதிய திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 8-12, 14-19

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

கிறிஸ்துவின் அளவற்ற செல்வத்தைப்பற்றிய நற்செய்தியை பிற இனத்தாருக்கு அறிவிக்கவும், எல்லாவற்றையும் படைத்த கடவுளுக்குள் ஊழி காலமாக மறைந்திருந்த இந்த மறைபொருளின் திட்டம் இன்னதென யாவருக்கும் தெளிவுபடுத்தவும், இறைமக்கள் அனைவருள்ளும் மிகவும் கடையவனாகிய எனக்கு இந்த அருள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதன்மூலம் பலவகையில் விளங்கும் கடவுளின் ஞானத்தை ஆட்சிபுரிவோர், வான்வெளியில் அதிகாரம் செலுத்துவோர் ஆகியோருக்கு இப்போது திருச்சபை வழியாக வெளிப்படுத்த முடிகிறது. இவ்வாறு கடவுள் ஊழி காலமாகக் கொண்டிருந்த திட்டத்தை நம் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வழியாய் நிறைவேற்றினார். கிறிஸ்துவின் மீது நாம் கொண்டுள்ள நம்பிக்கையின் வழியாகக் கடவுளை உறுதியான நம்பிக்கையோடு அணுகும் உரிமையும் துணிவும் நமக்குக் கிடைத்துள்ளது.

இதன் காரணமாக, விண்ணுலகிலும் மண்ணுலகிலும் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு குடும்பமும் உண்மையிலேயே குடும்பமாய் விளங்குவதற்குக் காரணமாய் இருக்கிற தந்தையிடம் நான் மண்டியிட்டு வேண்டுகிறேன். அவருடைய அளவற்ற மாட்சிக்கேற்ப உங்கள் உள்ளத்திற்கு வல்லமையும் ஆற்றலும் தம் தூய ஆவி வழியாகத் தந்தருளுவாராக! நம்பிக்கையின் வழியாக, கிறிஸ்து உங்கள் உள்ளங்களில் குடிகொள்வாராக! அன்பே உங்கள் வாழ்வுக்கு ஆணிவேரும் அடித்தளமுமாய் அமைவதாக! இறைமக்கள் அனைவரோடும் சேர்ந்து கிறிஸ்துவுடைய அன்பின் அகலம், நீளம், உயரம், ஆழம் என்னவென்று உணர்ந்து, அறிவுக்கு எட்டாத இந்த அன்பை அறிந்துகொள்ளும் ஆற்றல் பெறுவீர்களாக! அதன் மூலம் கடவுளின் முழு நிறைவையும் நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்களாக!

இஸ்ரயேல் குழந்தையாய் இருந்தபோது அவன்மேல் அன்பு கூர்ந்தேன்; எகிப்திலிருந்து என் மகனை அழைத்து வந்தேன். எப்ராயிமுக்கு நடைபயிற்றுவித்தது நானே; அவர்களைக் கையிலேந்தியதும் நானே; ஆயினும், அவர்களைக் குணமாக்கியது நானே என்பதை அவர்கள் உணராமற் போனார்கள். பரிவு என்னும் கட்டுகளால் அவர்களைப் பிணைத்து, அன்புக் கயிறுகளால் கட்டி நடத்தி வந்தேன்; அவர்கள் கழுத்தின்மேல் இருந்த நுகத்தை அகற்றினேன்; அவர்கள் பக்கம் சாய்ந்து உணவு ஊட்டினேன்.

📖GOSPEL 

"One of the soldiers pierced his side, and blood and water came out." 

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To John (19, 31-37) 

Jesus had just died. As it was the day of Preparation (that is to say Friday), the bodies should not be left on the cross during the Sabbath, especially since this Sabbath was the great day of the Passover. So the Jews asked Pilate to remove the bodies after breaking their legs. The soldiers therefore went and broke the legs of the first, then of the other man crucified with Jesus. When they came to Jesus, seeing that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, but one of the soldiers with his spear pierced his side; and immediately there came out blood and water.

He who has seen bears witness, and his testimony is true; and that one knows that he is speaking the truth so that you too may believe. This, in fact, happened to fulfill the Scripture: None of his bones shall be broken. Another passage of Scripture also says: They will lift up their eyes to him whom they have pierced.
