Psalm 113a (114), 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 

Respons: Alleluia! 

When Israel came out of Egypt,

and Jacob from a foreign people,

Judah was a sanctuary to God,

Israel became his domain. 

The sea sees and flees,

the Jordan turns back.

The mountains

and the hills leap like rams like lambs. 

What have you, sea, to flee,

Jordan, to turn back?

Mountains, why leap like rams,

hills, like lambs?

"The ark of the Covenant of the Lord will pass over the Jordan before you" 

Reading the Book of Joshua 3, 7-10a.11.13-17 

In those days,

    the Lord said to Joshua,

“Today

I will begin to make you grow up before all Israel,

so that they may know that I am with you

as I was with Moses.

    You, you will give this order

to the priests who carry the ark of the Covenant:

“When you arrive at the edge of the Jordan,

you will stop in the bed of the river.” "

     Joshua then said to the son of Israel:

" Come, listen to the words of the Lord your God.

    By this you will know that the living God is in your midst,

and that He will bring you into possession of the land of the Canaanites,

    behold the ark of the Covenant of the Lord of all the earth

will pass the Jordan in front of you.

    As soon as the priests

who carry the ark of the Lord out of all the earth

have set the soles of their feet

in the waters of the Jordan,

the waters which are upstream will be cut off,

and they will stop forming a single mass. "

    When the people broke camp to cross the Jordan,

the priests carrying the ark of the Covenant before the people.

    However, the Jordan is full of banks

throughout the harvest season.

As soon as the priests who carried the ark

arrived at the Jordan, and their feet touched the water,

    the waters stopped upstream

and stood up as one mass.

over a great distance,

from Adame, a neighboring town of Sartane;

and downstream the waters finished flowing

to the Araba Sea, the Dead Sea.

The people crossed over to Jericho.

    The priests who carried the ark of the Covenant of the Lord

stood still on the dry land in the middle of the Jordan.

Then all Israel crossed on dry ground,

until all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan.

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம் சீடர்களிடம் கூறியது: “உங்கள் சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளுள் ஒருவர் உங்களுக்கு எதிராகப் பாவம் செய்தால் நீங்களும் அவரும் தனித்திருக்கும்போது அவரது குற்றத்தை எடுத்துக்காட்டுங்கள். அவர் உங்களுக்குச் செவிசாய்த்தால் நல்லது; உங்கள் உறவு தொடரும். இல்லையென்றால் ‘இரண்டு அல்லது மூன்று சாட்சிகளுடைய வாக்குமூலத்தால் அனைத்தும் உறுதி செய்யப்படும்’ என்னும் மறைநூல் மொழிக்கு ஏற்ப உங்களோடு ஒன்றிரண்டு பேரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு போங்கள். அவர்களுக்கும் செவிசாய்க்காவிடில் திருச்சபையிடம் கூறுங்கள். திருச்சபைக்கும் செவிசாய்க்காவிடில் அவர் உங்களுக்கு வேற்று இனத்தவர் போலவும் வரிதண்டுபவர் போலவும் இருக்கட்டும்.

மண்ணுலகில் நீங்கள் தடை செய்பவை அனைத்தும் விண்ணுலகிலும் தடை செய்யப்படும்; மண்ணுலகில் நீங்கள் அனுமதிப்பவை அனைத்தும் விண்ணுலகிலும் அனுமதிக்கப்படும் என நான் உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.

உங்களுள் இருவர் மண்ணுலகில் தாங்கள் வேண்டும் எதைக் குறித்தும் மனமொத்திருந்தால் விண்ணுலகில் இருக்கும் என் தந்தை அதை அவர்களுக்கு அருள்வார். ஏனெனில் இரண்டு அல்லது மூன்று பேர் என் பெயரின் பொருட்டு எங்கே ஒன்றாகக் கூடியிருக்கின்றார்களோ அங்கே அவர்களிடையே நான் இருக்கிறேன் என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.”

கடவுளை நோக்கி உம் செயல்கள் எவ்வளவு அஞ்சத்தக்கவை என்று போற்றுங்கள். - பல்லவி

வாரீர்! கடவுளின் செயல்களைப் பாரீர்! அவர் மானிடரிடையே ஆற்றிவரும் செயல்கள் அஞ்சுதற்கு உரியவை.

கடவுள் கிறிஸ்துவின் வாயிலாக அவர்களைத் தம்மோடு ஒப்புரவாக்கினார். அந்த ஒப்புரவுச் செய்தியை அவரே எங்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்தார். அல்லேலூயா.

மோசே மோவாபு நாட்டில் இறந்தார். அவரைப்போல், இறைவாக்கினர் வேறு எவரும் இஸ்ரயேலில் எழுந்ததில்லை.

இணைச்சட்ட நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 34: 1-12

அந்நாள்களில்

மோசே மோவாபுச் சமவெளியிலிருந்து எரிகோவுக்குக் கிழக்கே நெபோ மலையில் உள்ள பிஸ்காவின் உச்சிக்கு ஏறிச் சென்றார். ஆண்டவர் அவருக்குத் தாண் வரையில் உள்ள கிலயாது நாடு முழுவதையும் காட்டினார். மேலும் நப்தலி முழுவதையும் எப்ராயிம் நிலப்பகுதியையும், மனாசே நிலப்பகுதியையும் யூதாவின் நிலப்பகுதி முழுவதையும், மேற்கே மத்திய தரைக் கடல் வரையிலும் காட்டினார்; மற்றும் நெகேபையும் பேரீச்சை மாநகராகிய எரிகோ முதல் சோவார் வரையிலும் உள்ள நிலப் பரப்பையும் காட்டினார். அப்போது ஆண்டவர் மோசேக்கு உரைத்தது: ‘நான் உன் வழிமரபினருக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு ஆகியோருக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறிய நிலம் இதுவே. உன் கண்களால் நீ அதைப் பார்க்கும்படி செய்துவிட்டேன். ஆனால் நீ அங்கு போகமாட்டாய்'.

எனவே, ஆண்டவர் கூறியபடியே, அவர்தம் ஊழியர் மோசே மோவாபு நாட்டில் இறந்தார். மோவாபு நாட்டில் பெத்பகோருக்கு எதிரே உள்ள பள்ளத்தாக்கில் அவர் அவரை அடக்கம் செய்தார். ஆனால் இன்றுவரை எந்த மனிதருக்கும் அவரது கல்லறை இருக்குமிடம் தெரியாது. மோசே இறக்கும்போது அவருக்கு வயது நூற்றிருபது. அவரது கண்கள் மங்கினதுமில்லை; அவரது வலிமை குறைந்ததுமில்லை. மோவாபுச் சமவெளியில் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் மோசேக்காக முப்பது நாள்கள் துக்கம் கொண்டாடினர். மோசேக்காக இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் அழுது துக்கம் கொண்டாடின நாள்கள் நிறைவுற்றன.

நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவின் மேல் மோசே தம் கைகளை வைத்ததால், அவர் ஞானத்தின் ஆவியால் நிரப்பப் பெற்றிருந்தார். இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் யோசுவாவுக்குச் செவி கொடுத்து, மோசேக்கு ஆண்டவர் கட்டளையிட்டபடி நடந்தார்கள்.

ஆண்டவர் நேருக்குநேர் சந்தித்த மோசேயைப்போல், இறைவாக்கினர் வேறெவரும் இஸ்ரயேலில் இதுகாறும் எழுந்ததில்லை. ஏனெனில், எகிப்து நாட்டில் பார்வோனுக்கும், அவன் அலுவலருக்கும், அவன் நாடு முழுவதற்கும் அடையாளங்களையும் அருஞ்செயல்களையும் செய்யும்படி ஆண்டவர் மோசேயை அனுப்பினார். இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவரின் கண்கள் காணுமாறு அவர் ஆற்றிய அனைத்து ஆற்றல்மிகு செயல்களும் அச்சுறுத்தும் மாபெரும் செயல்களுமே இதற்குச் சான்றாகும்.

GOSPEL 

"If he listens to you, you have won your brother"

In Christ, God was reconciling the world with him:

he put the word of reconciliation in our mouths.

Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 18, 15-20 

At that time,

Jesus was saying to his disciples:

    “If your brother has sinned against you,

go and reproach him alone.

If he listens to you, you've won over your brother.

    If he does not listen to you,

take one or two more people with you

so that the whole affair is settled

on the word of two or three witnesses.

    If he refuses to listen to them,

tell the assembly of the Church;

if he still refuses to listen to the Church,

consider him a pagan and a tax collector.

    Amen, I say to you,

whatever you bind on earth

will be bound in heaven,

and whatever you loose on earth

will be loosed in heaven. 

    And likewise, amen, I tell you,

if any two of you on earth

agree to ask for anything,

they will get it from my Father who is in heaven.

    Indeed, when two or three are gathered in my name,

I am there, in the midst of them. " 

            - Let us acclaim the Word of God.
