FIRST READING
"He appeared to James, then to all the Apostles"
A Reading from the first letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Corinthians (15, 1-8)
Brothers, I remind you of the Good News that I announced to you; this Gospel, you have received it; it is in him that you stand firm, it is through him that you will be saved if you keep him as I announced to you; otherwise, you have become believers for nothing. First of all, I transmitted this to you, which I myself received: Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was laid in the tomb; he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, he appeared to Peter, then to the Twelve; then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at a time - most of them are still alive, and a few are asleep in death -, then he appeared to James, then to all the Apostles. And in the very last place, it even appeared to the runt that I am.
The Word of the Lord.
