Psalm (145 (146), 2.5, 6c-7, 8-9a, 9bc-10),
I want to praise the Lord as long as I live,
sing my hymns for my God as long as I last.
Happy is he who leans on the God of Jacob,
who puts his hope in the Lord his God. R
He keeps his faithfulness forever;
he does justice to the oppressed,
to the hungry, he gives bread;
the Lord looses the chained. R
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind,
the Lord raises the weighed down,
the Lord loves the righteous,
the Lord protects the stranger. R
He supports the widow and the fatherless,
he leads astray in the steps of the wicked.
From age to age the Lord will reign:
your God, O Zion, forever! R
