God called famine on the land,
depriving it of all resources.
But before them he sent a man,
Joseph, who was sold as a slave. R
He is shackled at his feet, shackles are put
on his neck;
he suffered for the word of the Lord
until the day his prediction was fulfilled. R
The king orders that he be released,
the master of the peoples, that he be released.
He makes him the head of his house,
the master of all his possessions. R
