"I just have to receive the crown of justice" 

Reading from the second letter of Saint Paul the apostle to Timothy (4, 6-8.17-18) 

Beloved, I have already been offered as a sacrifice, the time for my departure has come. I fought the good fight, I finished my race, I kept the faith. I have only to receive the crown of righteousness: the Lord, the righteous judge, will give it to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who will have desired with love his glorious Manifestation. .

All have abandoned me. The Lord assisted me. He filled me with strength so that, through me, the proclamation of the gospel might be fulfilled to the end and that all the nations would hear it. I was snatched from the lion's mouth; the Lord will tear me away from all that is done to harm me. He will save me and bring me into his heavenly Kingdom. Glory to him forever and ever. Amen.
