 ஏப்ரல் 2 :  நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

இயேசு தமக்குரியோர்மேல் இறுதிவரையும் அன்பு செலுத்தினார்.

✠ யோவான் எழுதிய தூய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 13: 1-15

பாஸ்கா விழா தொடங்க இருந்தது. தாம் இவ்வுலகத்தை விட்டுத் தந்தையிடம் செல்வதற்கான நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது என்பதை இயேசு அறிந்திருந்தார். உலகில் வாழ்ந்த தமக்குரியோர்மேல் அன்பு கொண்டிருந்த அவர் அவர்கள்மேல் இறுதிவரையும் அன்பு செலுத்தினார்.

இயேசுவைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கும் எண்ணத்தை அலகை சீமோனின் மகனாகிய யூதாசு இஸ்காரியோத்தின் உள்ளத்தில் எழச் செய்திருந்தது. இரவுணவு வேளையில், தந்தை அனைத்தையும் தம் கையில் ஒப்படைத்துள்ளார் என்பதையும் தாம் கடவுளிடமிருந்து வந்ததுபோல் அவரிடமே திரும்பச் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதையும் அறிந்தவராய், இயேசு பந்தியிலிருந்து எழுந்து, தம் மேலுடையைக் கழற்றி வைத்துவிட்டு, ஒரு துண்டை எடுத்து இடுப்பில் கட்டிக்கொண்டார். பின்னர் ஒரு குவளையில் தண்ணீர் எடுத்துச் சீடர்களுடைய காலடிகளைக் கழுவி இடுப்பில் கட்டியிருந்த துண்டால் துடைக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.

சீமோன் பேதுருவிடம் இயேசு வந்தபோது அவர், “ஆண்டவரே, நீரா என் காலடிகளைக் கழுவப் போகிறீர்?” என்று கேட்டார். இயேசு மறுமொழியாக, “நான் செய்வது இன்னதென்று இப்போது உனக்குப் புரியாது; பின்னரே புரிந்துகொள்வாய்” என்றார். பேதுரு அவரிடம், “நீர் என் காலடிகளைக் கழுவ விடவேமாட்டேன்” என்றார். இயேசு அவரைப் பார்த்து, “நான் உன் காலடிகளைக் கழுவாவிட்டால் என்னோடு உனக்குப் பங்கு இல்லை” என்றார். அப்போது சீமோன் பேதுரு, “அப்படியானால் ஆண்டவரே, என் காலடிகளை மட்டும் அல்ல, என் கைகளையும் தலையையும்கூடக் கழுவும்” என்றார். இயேசு அவரிடம், “குளித்துவிட்டவர் தம் காலடிகளை மட்டும் கழுவினால் போதும். அவர் தூய்மையாகிவிடுவார். நீங்களும் தூய்மையாய் இருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆனாலும் அனைவரும் தூய்மையாய் இல்லை” என்றார். தம்மைக் காட்டிக் கொடுப்பவன் எவன் என்று அவருக்கு ஏற்கெனவே தெரிந்திருந்தது. எனவேதான் ‘உங்களுள் அனைவரும் தூய்மையாய் இல்லை’ என்றார்.

அவர்களுடைய காலடிகளைக் கழுவியபின் இயேசு தம் மேலுடையை அணிந்துகொண்டு மீண்டும் பந்தியில் அமர்ந்து அவர்களிடம் கூறியது: “நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்தது என்னவென்று உங்களுக்குப் புரிந்ததா? நீங்கள் என்னைப் ‘போதகர்’ என்றும் ‘ஆண்டவர்’ என்றும் அழைக்கிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் அவ்வாறு கூப்பிடுவது முறையே. நான் போதகர்தான், ஆண்டவர்தான். ஆகவே ஆண்டவரும் போதகருமான நான் உங்கள் காலடிகளைக் கழுவினேன் என்றால் நீங்களும் ஒருவர் மற்றவருடைய காலடிகளைக் கழுவக் கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். நான் செய்ததுபோல நீங்களும் செய்யுமாறு நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்மாதிரி காட்டினேன்” என்றார்.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

அப்பத்தை உண்டு, கிண்ணத்தில் பருகும்போதெல்லாம் ஆண்டவருடைய சாவை அறிவிக்கிறீர்கள்.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கொரிந்தியருக்கு எழுதிய முதல் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 11: 23-26

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

ஆண்டவரிடமிருந்து நான் எதைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டேனோ அதையே உங்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கிறேன். அதாவது, ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட அந்த இரவில், அப்பத்தை எடுத்து, கடவுளுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தி, அதைப் பிட்டு, “இது உங்களுக்கான என் உடல். இதை என் நினைவாகச் செய்யுங்கள்” என்றார். அப்படியே உணவு அருந்தியபின் கிண்ணத்தையும் எடுத்து, “இந்தக் கிண்ணம் என் இரத்தத்தால் நிலைப்படுத்தப்படும் புதிய உடன்படிக்கை. நீங்கள் இதிலிருந்து பருகும் போதெல்லாம் என் நினைவாக இவ்வாறு செய்யுங்கள்” என்றார்.

ஆதலால் நீங்கள் இந்த அப்பத்தை உண்டு கிண்ணத்திலிருந்து பருகும் போதெல்லாம் ஆண்டவருடைய சாவை அவர் வரும்வரை அறிவிக்கிறீர்கள்.

விடுதலைப் பயண நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 12: 1-8, 11-14

எகிப்து நாட்டில் ஆண்டவர் மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் பின்வருமாறு கூறினார்: உங்களுக்கு மாதங்களில் தலையாயது இம்மாதமே! ஆண்டில் உங்களுக்கு முதல் மாதமும் இதுவே! இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் கூட்டமைப்பு முழுவதற்கும் நீங்கள் அறிவியுங்கள்:

அவர்கள் இம்மாதம் பத்தாம் நாள், குடும்பத்துக்கு ஓர் ஆடு, வீட்டிற்கு ஓர் ஆடு என்று தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்ளட்டும். ஓர் ஆட்டினை உண்ண ஒரு வீட்டில் போதிய ஆள்கள் இல்லையெனில், உண்போரின் எண்ணிக்கைக்கும் உண்ணும் அளவுக்கும் ஏற்ப அண்டை வீட்டாரைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளட்டும். ஆடு குறைபாடற்றதாக, கிடாயாக, ஒரு வயது குட்டியாக இருக்க வேண்டும். தேர்ந்தெடுப்பது வெள்ளாடாகவோ செம்மறியாடாகவோ இருக்கலாம். இம்மாதம் பதினான்காம் நாள்வரை அதை வைத்துப் பேணுங்கள். அந்நாள் மாலை மங்கும் வேளையில் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் கூட்டமைப்பின் அனைத்துச் சபையும் அதை வெட்ட வேண்டும். இரத்தத்தில் சிறிதளவு எடுத்து, உண்ணும் வீடுகளின் இரு கதவு நிலைகளிலும், மேல் சட்டத்திலும் பூச வேண்டும். இறைச்சியை அந்த இரவிலேயே உண்ண வேண்டும். நெருப்பில் அதனை வாட்டி, புளிப்பற்ற அப்பத்தோடும் கசப்புக் கீரையோடும் உண்ண வேண்டும்.

நீங்கள் அதனை உண்ணும் முறையாவது: இடையில் கச்சை கட்டி, கால்களில் காலணி அணிந்து, கையில் கோல் பிடித்து, விரைவாக உண்ணுங்கள். இது ‘ஆண்டவரின் பாஸ்கா'. ஏனெனில், நான் இன்றிரவிலேயே எகிப்து நாடெங்கும் கடந்து சென்று, எகிப்து நாட்டில் மனிதர் தொடங்கி விலங்குவரை அனைத்து ஆண்பால் தலைப்பிறப்பையும் சாகடிப்பேன். எகிப்தின் தெய்வங்கள் அனைத்தின்மேலும் நான் தீர்ப்பிடுவேன். நானே ஆண்டவர்! இரத்தம் நீங்கள் இருக்கும் வீடுகளில் உங்களுக்கு அடையாளமாக இருக்கும். நான் இரத்தத்தைக் கண்டு உங்களைக் கடந்து செல்வேன். எகிப்து நாட்டில் நான் அவர்களைச் சாகடிக்கும்போது, கொல்லும் கொள்ளை நோய் எதுவும் உங்கள் மேல் வராது.

இந்நாள் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு நினைவு நாளாக விளங்கும். இதனை ஆண்டவரின் விழாவாக நீங்கள் தலைமுறைதோறும் கொண்டாடுங்கள். இந்த விழா உங்களுக்கு நிலையான நியமமாக இருப்பதாக!

Before the Feast of the Passover when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it round his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped round him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterwards you will understand.” Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.” For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.” When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. Brethren: I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the chalice, after supper, saying, “This chalice is the new covenant in my blood. A Reading from the Book of Exodus 12:1-8,11-14

In those days: The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you. Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbour shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats, and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight. Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it. In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord. The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt. This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations, as a statute for ever, you shall keep it as a feast.”
