நற்செய்தி வாசகம் 

தம்மிடம் இருக்கும்படி தாம் விரும்பியவர்களை அழைத்தார். 

மாற்கு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 13-19 

இயேசு மலைமேல் ஏறித் தாம் விரும்பியவர்களைத் தம்மிடம் வரவழைத்தார். அவர்களும் அவரிடம் வந்தார்கள். தம்மோடு இருக்கவும் நற்செய்தியைப் பறைசாற்ற அனுப்பப்படவும் பேய்களை ஓட்ட அதிகாரம் கொண்டிருக்கவும் அவர் பன்னிருவரை நியமித்தார்; அவர்களுக்குத் திருத்தூதர் என்றும் பெயரிட்டார்.

அவர் ஏற்படுத்திய பன்னிருவர் முறையே, பேதுரு என்று அவர் பெயரிட்ட சீமோன், செபதேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபு, யாக்கோபின் சகோதரரான யோவான் - இவ்விருவருக்கும் `இடியைப் போன்றோர்' எனப் பொருள்படும் பொவனேர்கேசு என்று அவர் பெயரிட்டார் - அந்திரேயா, பிலிப்பு, பர்த்தலமேயு, மத்தேயு, தோமா, அல்பேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபு, ததேயு, தீவிரவாதியாய் இருந்த சீமோன், இயேசுவைக் காட்டிக்கொடுத்த யூதாசு இஸ்காரியோத்து என்போர் ஆவர். 

இது கிறிஸ்து வழங்கும் நற்செய்தி.

பல்லவி: பேரன்பும் உண்மையும் ஒன்றையொன்று சந்திக்கும். 

திபா 85: 7,9. 10-11. 12-13 (பல்லவி: 10ய) 

7 ஆண்டவரே, உமது பேரன்பை எங்களுக்குக் காட்டியருளும்;

உமது மீட்பையும் எங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளும்.

9 அவருக்கு அஞ்சி நடப்போர்க்கு அவரது மீட்பு அண்மையில் உள்ளது என்பது உறுதி;

நம் நாட்டில் அவரது மாட்சி குடிகொள்ளும். -பல்லவி 

10 பேரன்பும் உண்மையும் ஒன்றையொன்று சந்திக்கும்;

நீதியும் நிறைவாழ்வும் ஒன்றையொன்று முத்தமிடும்.

11 மண்ணினின்று உண்மை முளைத்தெழும்;

விண்ணினின்று நீதி கீழ்நோக்கும். -பல்லவி 

12 நல்லதையே ஆண்டவர் அருள்வார்;

நல் விளைவை நம் நாடு நல்கும்.

13 நீதி அவர்முன் செல்லும்;

அவர்தம் அடிச்சுவடுகளுக்கு வழி வகுக்கும். -பல்லவி 

நற்செய்திக்கு முன் வாழ்த்தொலி 

அல்லேலூயா, அல்லேலூயா! உலகினரின் குற்றங்களைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் கடவுள் கிறிஸ்துவின் வாயிலாக அவர்களைத் தம்மோடு ஒப்புரவாக்கினார். அந்த ஒப்புரவுச் செய்தியை அவரே எங்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்தார். அல்லேலூயா.

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே, சீரிய வாக்குறுதிகளின் அடிப்படையில் செய்யப்பட்டு, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை இணைப்பாளராகக் கொண்டிருக்கும் உடன்படிக்கை முந்திய உடன்படிக்கையைவிடச் சிறப்புமிக்கது. முதல் உடன்படிக்கை குறையற்றதாய் இருந்திருப்பின், இரண்டாம் உடன்படிக்கைக்கு இடமே இருந்திருக்காது. ஆனால், கடவுள் அவர்களது குற்றத்தை எடுத்துக் கூறிச் சொன்னது இதுவே: ``இதோ, நாள்கள் வருகின்றன. அப்போது இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரோடும் யூதாவின் வீட்டாரோடும் புதிய உடன்படிக்கை ஒன்றைச் செய்துகொள்வேன்'' என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். `எகிப்து நாட்டிலிருந்து அவர்களுடைய மூதாதையரைக் கைப்பிடித்து நடத்தி வந்தபொழுது நான் அவர்களோடு செய்துகொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையைப் போன்று இது இராது. ஏனெனில், நான் அவர்களோடு செய்துகொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்கள் மீறிவிட்டார்கள்; நானும் அவர்கள்மீது அக்கறை கொள்ளவில்லை' என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். `அந்நாள்களுக்குப் பின் இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரோடு நான் செய்ய இருக்கும் உடன்படிக்கை இதுவே: என் சட்டத்தை உள்ளத்தில் பதிப்பேன்; அதை அவர்களது இதயத்தில் எழுதிவைப்பேன். நான் அவர்களின் கடவுளாய் இருப்பேன்; அவர்கள் என் மக்களாய் இருப்பார்கள்' என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். இனிமேல் எவரும் `ஆண்டவரை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்' எனத் தம் அடுத்தவருக்கோ, சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளுக்கோ கற்றுத்தர மாட்டார். ஏனெனில், அவர்களுள் பெரியோர் முதல் சிறியோர் வரை அனைவரும் என்னை அறிந்துகொள்வர். அவர்களது தீச்செயலை நான் இரக்கத்தோடு மன்னித்து விடுவேன். அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களை இனிமேல் நினைவுகூர மாட்டேன்.' ``புதியதோர் உடன்படிக்கை'' என்பதால், முன்னையதை அவர் பழையதாக்கிவிட்டார். பழமையானதும் நாள்பட்டதும் விரைவில் மறைய வேண்டியதே. 

இது ஆண்டவர் வழங்கும் அருள்வாக்கு.

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark (3, 13-19) 

At that time, Jesus climbed the mountain, and he called those he wanted. They came to him, and he appointed twelve of them to be with him and to send them to proclaim the Good News with the power to expel demons. So he established the Twelve: Peter - this is the name he gave to Simon -, James, son of Zebedee, and John, James' brother - he gave them the name of "Boanerguès", that is - that is to say: "Son of thunder" -, André, Philippe, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, Jacques, son of Alphée, Thaddée, Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, the very one who delivered him.

FIRST READING 

"He is the mediator of a better alliance" 

the letter to the Hebrews (8, 6-13) 

Brothers, the service which returns to our high priest is all the more distinguished as he is the mediator of a better alliance, based on better promises. Indeed, if the first Alliance had been flawless, there would have been no need to look for a second. Now, this is indeed a reproach which God makes against his people when he says: Here are days coming, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the Covenant I made with their fathers the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt: they did not stay in my Covenant; so I left them, says the Lord. But this will be the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel when those days have passed, says the Lord. When I give them my laws, I will write them in their minds and on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. They will no longer have to teach each his fellow citizen or each his brother by saying: “Learn to know the Lord! Because everyone will know me, from the youngest to the oldest. I will be forgiving of their faults, I will no longer remember their sins.

Speaking of the new Covenant, God made the first old; now what is becoming old and aging is on the verge of disappearing.
