அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம் சீடரை நோக்கிக் கூறியது: “திருச்சட்டத்தையோ இறைவாக்குகளையோ நான் அழிக்க வந்தேன் என நீங்கள் எண்ண வேண்டாம்; அவற்றை அழிப்பதற்கல்ல, நிறைவேற்றுவதற்கே வந்தேன். விண்ணும் மண்ணும் ஒழிந்து போகுமுன் திருச்சட்டம் யாவும் நிறைவேறும். அதன் ஒரு சிற்றெழுத்தோ ஒரு புள்ளியோ ஒழியாது என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

எனவே, இக்கட்டளைகளில் மிகச் சிறியது ஒன்றையேனும் மீறி அவ்வாறே மக்களுக்கும் கற்பிக்கிறவர் விண்ணரசில் மிகச் சிறியவர் எனக் கருதப்படுவார். இவை அனைத்தையும் கடைப்பிடித்துக் கற்பிக்கிறவரோ விண்ணரசில் பெரியவர் எனக் கருதப்படுவார். மறைநூல் அறிஞர், பரிசேயர் ஆகியோரின் நெறியைவிட உங்கள் நெறி சிறந்திருக்கட்டும். இல்லையெனில், நீங்கள் விண்ணரசுக்குள் புக முடியாது என உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.”

“கொலை செய்யாதே; கொலை செய்கிறவர் எவரும் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவர்” என்று முற்காலத்தவர்க்குக் கூறப்பட்டிருப்பதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: “தம் சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளிடம் சினங்கொள்கிறவர் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவார்; தம் சகோதரரையோ சகோதரியையோ ‘முட்டாளே’ என்பவர் தலைமைச் சங்கத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவார்; ‘அறிவிலியே’ என்பவர் எரிநரகத்துக்கு ஆளாவார்.

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் உங்கள் காணிக்கையைப் பலிபீடத்தில் செலுத்த வரும்பொழுது உங்கள் சகோதரர் சகோதரிகள் எவருக்கும் உங்கள் மேல் ஏதோ மனத்தாங்கல் உண்டென அங்கே நினைவுற்றால், அங்கேயே பலி பீடத்தின்முன் உங்கள் காணிக்கையை வைத்துவிட்டுப் போய் முதலில் அவரிடம் நல்லுறவு ஏற்படுத்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள். பின்பு வந்து உங்கள் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்துங்கள்.

உங்கள் எதிரி உங்களை நீதி மன்றத்துக்குக் கூட்டிச் செல்லும்போது வழியிலேயே அவருடன் விரைவாக உடன்பாடு செய்துகொள்ளுங்கள். இல்லையேல் உங்கள் எதிரி நடுவரிடம் உங்களை ஒப்படைப்பார். நடுவர் காவலரிடம் ஒப்படைக்க, நீங்கள் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்படுவீர்கள். கடைசிக் காசு வரை திருப்பிச் செலுத்தாமல் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேற மாட்டீர்கள் என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.”

“ ‘விபசாரம் செய்யாதே’ எனக் கூறப்பட்டிருப்பதைக் கேள்விப் பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால், நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: ஒரு பெண்ணை இச்சையுடன் நோக்கும் எவரும் தம் உள்ளத்தால் ஏற்கெனவே அப்பெண்ணோடு விபசாரம் செய்தாயிற்று.

உங்கள் வலக்கண் உங்களைப் பாவத்தில் விழச்செய்தால் அதைப் பிடுங்கி எறிந்து விடுங்கள். உங்கள் உடல் முழுவதும் நரகத்தில் எறியப்படுவதைவிட உங்கள் உறுப்புகளில் ஒன்றை நீங்கள் இழப்பதே நல்லது. உங்கள் வலக்கை உங்களைப் பாவத்தில் விழச்செய்தால் அதையும் உங்களிடமிருந்து வெட்டி எறிந்து விடுங்கள். உங்கள் உடல் முழுவதும் நரகத்திற்குச் செல்வதைவிட உங்கள் உறுப்புகளில் ஒன்றை நீங்கள் இழப்பதே நல்லது.

‘தன் மனைவியை விலக்கி விடுகிறவன் எவனும் மணவிலக்குச் சான்றிதழைக் கொடுக்கட்டும்’ எனக் கூறப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: எவரும் தம் மனைவியைப் பரத்தைமைக்காக அன்றி வேறு எந்தக் காரணத்திற்காகவும் விலக்கிவிடக் கூடாது. அப்படிச் செய்வோர் எவரும் அவரை விபசாரத்தில் ஈடுபடச் செய்கின்றனர். விலக்கப்பட்டோரை மணப்போரும் விபசாரம் செய்கின்றனர்.”

“மேலும், ‘ பொய்யாணை இடாதீர். ஆணையிட்டு நேர்ந்துகொண்டதை ஆண்டவருக்குச் செலுத்துவீர்’ என்று முற்காலத்தவர்க்குக் கூறப் பட்டிருப்பதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: ஆணையிடவே வேண்டாம். விண்ணுலகின் மேலும் ஆணையிட வேண்டாம்; ஏனென்றால் அது கடவுளின் அரியணை. மண்ணுலகின் மேலும் வேண்டாம்; ஏனெனில் அது அவரின் கால்மணை. எருசலேம் மேலும் வேண்டாம்; ஏனெனில் அது பேரரசரின் நகரம். உங்கள் தலைமுடியின் மேலும் ஆணையிட வேண்டாம்; ஏனெனில் உங்கள் தலைமுடி ஒன்றையேனும் வெள்ளையாக்கவோ கறுப்பாக்கவோ உங்களால் இயலாது.

ஆகவே நீங்கள் பேசும்போது ‘ஆம்’ என்றால் ‘ஆம்’ எனவும் ‘இல்லை’ என்றால் ‘இல்லை’ எனவும் சொல்லுங்கள். இதைவிட மிகுதியாகச் சொல்வது எதுவும் தீயோனிடத்திலிருந்து வருகிறது.”

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

உலகம் தோன்றும் முன்பே ஞானம் கடவுளின் திட்டத்தில் இருந்தது.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கொரிந்தியருக்கு எழுதிய முதல் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 6-10

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

முதிர்ச்சி பெற்றவர்களோடு நாங்கள் ஞானத்தைப் பற்றிப் பேசுகிறோம். ஆனால் இது உலக ஞானம் அல்ல; உலகத் தலைவர்களின் ஞானமும் அல்ல. அவர்கள் அழிவுக்குரியவர்கள்.

வெளிப்படுத்தப்படாமல் மறைபொருளாய் இருக்கும் இறை ஞானத்தைப் பற்றியே நாங்கள் பேசுகிறோம். அது நாம் மேன்மை பெறவேண்டும் என்னும் நோக்குடன் உலகம் தோன்றும் முன்பே கடவுளின் திட்டத்தில் இருந்தது. இவ்வுலகத் தலைவர்கள் எவரும் அதை அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. அறிந்திருந்தால், அவர்கள் மாட்சிக்குரிய ஆண்டவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள். ஆனால் மறைநூலில் எழுதியுள்ளவாறு, “தம்மிடம் அன்புகொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கு என்று கடவுள் ஏற்பாடு செய்தவை கண்ணுக்குப் புலப்படவில்லை; செவிக்கு எட்டவில்லை; மனித உள்ளமும் அதை அறியவில்லை."

இதைக் கடவுள் தூய ஆவியாரின் வழியாக நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார். தூய ஆவியாரே அனைத்தையும் துருவி ஆய்கிறார்; கடவுளின் ஆழ்ந்த எண்ணங்களையும் அறிகிறார்.

At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murder will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. God predestined wisdom to be for our glory before the ages began

A Reading from the First Letter of St.Paul to the Corinthians 2:6-10 

Brethren: Among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
