நவம்பர்  8 :  நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

நான் மனம் மாறிவிட்டேன் என்று சொல்வாரானால் அவரை மன்னித்துவிடுங்கள்.

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம் சீடரை நோக்கிக் கூறியது: “பாவச் சோதனை வருவதைத் தவிர்க்க முடியாது. ஆனால் ஐயோ! அதற்குக் காரணமாய் இருப்பவருக்குக் கேடு! அவர் இச்சிறியோருள் எவரையாவது பாவத்தில் விழச்செய்வதை விட அவ்வாறு செய்பவரது கழுத்தில் ஓர் எந்திரக் கல்லைக் கட்டி அவரைக் கடலில் தள்ளிவிடுவது அவருக்கு நல்லது.

எனவே, நீங்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருங்கள். உங்களுடைய சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளுள் ஒருவர் பாவம் செய்தால் அவரைக் கடிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர் மனம் மாறினால் அவரை மன்னியுங்கள். ஒரே நாளில் அவர் ஏழு முறை உங்களுக்கு எதிராகப் பாவம் செய்து ஏழு முறையும் உங்களிடம் திரும்பி வந்து, ‘நான் மனம் மாறிவிட்டேன்’ என்று சொல்வாரானால் அவரை மன்னித்துவிடுங்கள்."

திருத்தூதர்கள் ஆண்டவரிடம், “எங்கள் நம்பிக்கையை மிகுதியாக்கும்” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

அதற்கு ஆண்டவர் கூறியது: “கடுகளவு நம்பிக்கை உங்களுக்கு இருந்தால் நீங்கள் இந்தக் காட்டு அத்தி மரத்தை நோக்கி, ‘நீ வேரோடே பெயர்ந்து போய்க் கடலில் வேரூன்றி நில்’ எனக் கூறினால் அது உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும்.”

ஆண்டவரே! நீர் என்னை ஆய்ந்து அறிந்திருக்கின்றீர்!

நான் அமர்வதையும் எழுவதையும் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கின்றீர்; என் நினைவுகளை எல்லாம் தொலையிலிருந்தே உய்த்துணர்கின்றீர்.

உமது ஆற்றலை விட்டு நான் எங்கே செல்லக்கூடும்? உமது திருமுன்னிலிருந்து நான் எங்கே தப்பியோட முடியும்?

நான் வானத்திற்கு ஏறிச் சென்றாலும் நீர் அங்கே இருக்கின்றீர்! பாதாளத்தில் படுக்கையை அமைத்துக் கொண்டாலும் நீர் அங்கேயும் இருக்கின்றீர்! - பல்லவி

நான் கதிரவனின் இடத்திற்கும் பறந்து சென்றாலும் மேற்கே கடலுக்கு அப்பால் வாழ்ந்தாலும்,

ஆண்டவரின் ஆவி உலகை நிரப்பியுள்ளது.

சாலமோனின் ஞான நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 1: 1-7

மண்ணுலகை ஆள்பவர்களே, நீதியின்மேல் அன்பு செலுத்துங்கள்; நன்மனத்துடன் ஆண்டவரைப் பற்றி நினைந்திடுங்கள்; நேர்மையான உள்ளத்துடன் அவரைத் தேடுங்கள். அவரைச் சோதியாதோர் அவரைக் கண்டடைகின்றனர்; அவரை நம்பினோர்க்கு அவர் தம்மை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றார்.

நெறிகெட்ட எண்ணம் மனிதரைக் கடவுளிடமிருந்து பிரித்துவிடும். அவரது ஆற்றல் சோதிக்கப்படும்பொழுது, அது அறிவிலிகளை அடையாளம் காட்டிவிடும். வஞ்சனை நிறைந்த ஆன்மாவில் ஞானம் நுழைவதில்லை; பாவத்திற்கு அடிமையான உடலில் ஞானம் குடிகொள்வதில்லை. நற்பயிற்சி பெற்ற உள்ளம் வஞ்சனையினின்று விலகியோடும்; அறிவற்ற எண்ணங்களை விட்டு அகலும்; அநீதி அணுகுகையில் அது நாணி ஒதுங்கும்.

ஞானம் மனிதநேயமுள்ள ஆவி; ஆயினும் இறைவனைப் பழிப்போரை அது தண்டியாமல் விடாது. கடவுள் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளுணர்வுகளின் சாட்சி; உள்ளத்தை உள்ளவாறு உற்று நோக்குபவர்; நாவின் சொற்களைக் கேட்பவரும் அவரே. ஆண்டவரின் ஆவி உலகை நிரப்பியுள்ளது; அனைத்தையும் ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் அந்த ஆவி ஒவ்வொரு சொல்லையும் அறிகின்றது.

At that time,

    Jesus said to his disciples:

“It is inevitable that scandals arise,

occasions of downfall;

but unhappy he by whom this happens!

    It is better that a stone grindstone be tied around his neck

and thrown into the sea,

rather than an occasion

for a fall for one of the little ones here. 

    Take care of yourselves!

If your brother has sinned,

reproach him vigorously,

and, if he repents, forgive him.

    Even if seven times a day he commits a sin against you,

and seven times in a row he comes back to you

saying: “I repent”,

you will forgive him. " 

    The Apostles said to the Lord:

“Increase your faith in us! "

    The Lord replied,

" If you had faith

as big as a mustard seed,

you could say to this tree:

    'Be uprooted and planted in the sea, "

and it would obey you. " 

             - Let us acclaim the Word of God.

Seek the Lord in simplicity of heart

A Reading from the Book of  Wisdom 1: 1-7 

Love virtue, you who are judges on earth,

let honesty prompt your thinking about the Lord,

seek him in simplicity of heart;

since he is to be found by those who do not put him to the test,

he shows himself to those who do not distrust him.

But selfish intentions divorce from God;

and Omnipotence, put to the test, confounds the foolish.

No, Wisdom will never make its way into a crafty soul

nor stay in a body that is in debt to sin;

the holy spirit of instruction shuns deceit,

it stands aloof from reckless purposes,

is taken aback when iniquity appears.

Wisdom is a spirit, a friend to man,

though she will not pardon the words of a blasphemer,

since God sees into the innermost parts of him,

truly observes his heart,

and listens to his tongue.

The spirit of the Lord, indeed, fills the whole world,

and that which holds all things together knows every word that is said.
