*A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St Luke 21:34-36* 

```When he went into Capernaum a centurion came up and pleaded with him. 'Sir,' he said, 'my servant is lying at home paralysed and in great pain.' Jesus said to him, 'I will come myself and cure him.' The centurion replied, 'Sir, I am not worthy to have you under my roof; just give the word and my servant will be cured. For I am under authority myself and have soldiers under me; and I say to one man, "Go," and he goes; to another, "Come here," and he comes; to my servant, "Do this," and he does it.' When Jesus heard this he was astonished and said to those following him, 'In truth I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found faith as great as this. And I tell you that many will come from east and west and sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob at the feast in the kingdom of Heaven;  'Watch yourselves, or your hearts will be coarsened by debauchery and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day will come upon you unexpectedly, like a trap. For it will come down on all those living on the face of the earth. Stay awake, praying at all times for the strength to survive all that is going to happen, and to hold your ground before the Son of man.'```

1 Come, let us cry out with joy to Yahweh, acclaim the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving, acclaim him with music. 

3 For Yahweh is a great God, a king greater than all the gods.

4 In his power are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are his;

5 the sea belongs to him, for he made it, and the dry land, moulded by his hands. 

6 Come, let us bow low and do reverence; kneel before Yahweh who made us!

7 For he is our God, and we the people of his sheepfold, the flock of his hand. If only you would listen to him today!

A reading from the Book of Revelation 22:1-7 

Then the angel showed me the river of life, rising from the throne of God and of the Lamb and flowing crystal-clear. Down the middle of the city street, on either bank of the river were the trees of life, which bear twelve crops of fruit in a year, one in each month, and the leaves of which are the cure for the nations. The curse of destruction will be abolished. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city; his servants will worship him, they will see him face to face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And night will be abolished; they will not need lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will be shining on them. They will reign for ever and ever.

The angel said to me, 'All that you have written is sure and will come true: the Lord God who inspires the prophets has sent his angel to reveal to his servants what is soon to take place. I am coming soon!' Blessed are those who keep the prophetic message of this book.

நமது மீட்பின் பாறையைப் போற்றி ஆர்ப்பரியுங்கள்.

2 நன்றியுடன் அவர் திருமுன் செல்வோம்;

_விளக்கின் ஒளியோ கதிரவனின் ஒளியோ அவர்களுக்குத் தேவைப்படாது. ஏனெனில் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் அவர்கள்மீது ஒளி வீசுவார்;_

*திருத்தூதர் யோவான் எழுதிய திருவெளிப்பாட்டிலிருந்து வாசகம் 22: 1-7*

வானதூதர் வாழ்வு அளிக்கும் தண்ணீர் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருந்த ஓர் ஆற்றை எனக்குக் காட்டினார். அது பளிங்குபோல் ஒளிர்ந்தது. அது கடவுளும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியும் வீற்றிருந்த அரியணையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, நகரின் தெரு நடுவே பாய்ந்தோடியது. ஆற்றின் இரு மருங்கும் வாழ்வு தரும் மரம் இருந்தது. மாதத்துக்கு ஒரு முறையாக அது ஆண்டுதோறும் பன்னிரு முறை கனிகள் தரும். அதன் இலைகள் மக்களினங்களைக் குணப்படுத்தக் கூடியவை. சாபத்துக்கு உள்ளானது எதுவும் நகரில் இராது. கடவுளும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியும் வீற்றிருக்கும் அரியணை அங்கு இருக்கும். கடவுளின் பணியாளர்கள் அவரை வழிபடுவார்கள்; அவரது முகத்தைக் காண்பார்கள். அவரது பெயர் அவர்களுடைய நெற்றியில் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கும். இனி இரவே இராது. விளக்கின் ஒளியோ கதிரவனின் ஒளியோ அவர்களுக்குத் தேவைப்படாது. ஏனெனில் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் அவர்கள்மீது ஒளி வீசுவார்; அவர்கள் என்றென்றும் ஆட்சிபுரிவார்கள். பின்னர் அந்த வானதூதர் என்னிடம், ``இவ்வாக்குகள் நம்பத்தக்கவை, உண்மையுள்ளவை. விரைவில் நிகழவேண்டியவற்றைத் தம் பணியாளர்களுக்குக் காட்டுமாறு, இறைவாக்கினரைத் தூண்டியெழுப்பும் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் தம் வானதூதரை அனுப்பினார். இதோ! நான் விரைவில் வருகிறேன்'' என்றார். இந்த நூலில் உள்ள இறைவாக்குகளைக் கடைப்பிடிப்போர் பேறுபெற்றோர்.
