ஞானிகளுக்கும் அறிஞர்களுக்கும் மறைத்துக் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினீர்.

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு கூறியது: “தந்தையே, விண்ணுக்கும் மண்ணுக்கும் ஆண்டவரே, உம்மைப் போற்றுகிறேன். ஏனெனில் ஞானிகளுக்கும் அறிஞர்களுக்கும் இவற்றை மறைத்துக் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினீர். ஆம் தந்தையே, இதுவே உமது திருவுளம்.

என் தந்தை எல்லாவற்றையும் என்னிடத்தில் ஒப்படைத்திருக்கிறார். தந்தையைத் தவிர வேறு எவரும் மகனை அறியார்; மகனும் அவர் யாருக்கு வெளிப்படுத்த வேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறாரோ அவருமன்றி வேறு எவரும் தந்தையை அறியார்” என்று கூறினார்.

என் உயிரே! ஆண்டவரைப் போற்றிடு! என் முழு உளமே! அவரது திருப்பெயரை ஏத்திடு!

அவர் உன் குற்றங்களையெல்லாம் மன்னிக்கின்றார்; உன் நோய்களையெல்லாம் குணமாக்குகின்றார்.

ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் ஒரு முட்புதரின் நடுவே தீப்பிழம்பில் அவருக்குத் தோன்றினார்.

விடுதலைப் பயண நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 1-6, 9-12

அந்நாள்களில்

மோசே மிதியானின் அர்ச்சகராகிய தம் மாமனார் இத்திரோவின் ஆட்டு மந்தையை மேய்த்து வந்தார். அவர் அந்த ஆட்டு மந்தையைப் பாலை நிலத்தின் மேற்றிசையாக ஓட்டிக்கொண்டு கடவுளின் மலையாகிய ஓரேபை வந்தடைந்தார். அப்போது ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் ஒரு முட்புதரின் நடுவே தீப்பிழம்பில் அவருக்குத் தோன்றினார். அவர் பார்த்தபோது முட்புதர் நெருப்பால் எரிந்துகொண்டிருந்தது. ஆனால் அம்முட்புதர் தீய்ந்துபோகவில்லை.

“ஏன் முட்புதர் தீய்ந்துபோகவில்லை? இந்த மாபெரும் காட்சியைப் பார்ப்பதற்காக நான் அப்பக்கமாகச் செல்வேன்” என்று மோசே கூறிக்கொண்டார். அவ்வாறே பார்ப்பதற்காக அவர் அணுகி வருவதை ஆண்டவர் கண்டார். ‘மோசே, மோசே’ என்று சொல்லிக் கடவுள் முட்புதரின் நடுவிலிருந்து அவரை அழைக்க, அவர் “இதோ நான்” என்றார். அவர், “இங்கே அணுகி வராதே; உன் பாதங்களிலிருந்து மிதியடிகளை அகற்றிவிடு; ஏனெனில் நீ நின்றுகொண்டிருக்கிற இந்த இடம் புனிதமான நிலம்” என்றார்.

மேலும் அவர், “உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் கடவுள், ஆபிரகாமின் கடவுள், ஈசாக்கின் கடவுள், யாக்கோபின் கடவுள் நானே” என்றுரைத்தார். மோசே கடவுளை உற்று நோக்க அஞ்சியதால் தம் முகத்தை மூடிக்கொண்டார். அப்போது, இதோ! இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் அழுகுரல் என்னை எட்டியுள்ளது. மேலும் எகிப்தியர் அவர்களுக்கு இழைக்கும் கொடுமையையும் கண்டுள்ளேன். எனவே இப்போதே போ; இஸ்ரயேல் இனத்தவராகிய என் மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து நடத்திச் செல்வதற்காக நான் உன்னைப் பார்வோனிடம் அனுப்புகிறேன்."

மோசே கடவுளிடம், “பார்வோனிடம் செல்வதற்கும், இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துப் போவதற்கும் நான் யார்?” என்றார். அப்போது கடவுள், “நான் உன்னோடு இருப்பேன். மேலும் இம்மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துச் செல்லும்போது நீங்கள் இம்மலையில் கடவுளை வழிபடுவீர்கள். நானே உன்னை அனுப்பினேன் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம் இதுவே” என்றுரைத்தார்.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St.Matthew 11: 25 -27

Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’

The burning bush

A Reading from the book of Exodus 3:1-6,9-12 

Moses was looking after the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, priest of Midian. He led his flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in the shape of a flame of fire, coming from the middle of a bush. Moses looked; there was the bush blazing but it was not being burnt up. ‘I must go and look at this strange sight,’ Moses said, ‘and see why the bush is not burnt.’

  Now the Lord saw him go forward to look, and God called to him from the middle of the bush. ‘Moses, Moses!’ he said. ‘Here I am,’ Moses answered. ‘Come no nearer,’ he said. ‘Take off your shoes, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. I am the God of your fathers,’ he said, ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.’ At this Moses covered his face, afraid to look at God.

  And the Lord said, ‘The cry of the sons of Israel has come to me, and I have witnessed the way in which the Egyptians oppress them, so come, I send you to Pharaoh to bring the sons of Israel, my people, out of Egypt.’

  Moses said to God, ‘Who am I to go to Pharaoh and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?’ ‘I shall be with you,’ was the answer ‘and this is the sign by which you shall know that it is I who have sent you... After you have led the people out of Egypt, you are to offer worship to God on this mountain.’
