நற்செய்தி வாசகம் 

நேர்மையாளர்களை அல்ல, பாவிகளையே அழைக்க வந்தேன். 

மாற்கு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 13-17 

இயேசு மீண்டும் கடலோரம் சென்றார். மக்கள் கூட்டத்தினர் எல்லாரும் அவரிடம் வரவே, அவர் அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்தார். பின்பு அங்கிருந்து அவர் சென்றபோது அல்பேயுவின் மகன் லேவி சுங்கச் சாவடியில் அமர்ந்திருந்ததைக் கண்டார்; அவரிடம், ``என்னைப் பின்பற்றி வா'' என்றார். அவரும் எழுந்து இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றார். பின்பு அவருடைய வீட்டில் பந்தி அமர்ந்திருந்தபோது வரிதண்டுபவர்கள், பாவிகள் ஆகிய பலர் இயேசுவோடும் அவருடைய சீடரோடும் விருந்துண்டனர். ஏனெனில் இவர்களுள் பலர் இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றியவர்கள். அவர் பாவிகளோடும் வரிதண்டுபவர்களோடும் உண்பதைப் பரிசேயரைச் சார்ந்த மறைநூல் அறிஞர் கண்டு, அவருடைய சீடரிடம், ``இவர் வரிதண்டுபவர்களோடும் பாவிகளோடும் சேர்ந்து உண்பதேன்?'' என்று கேட்டனர். இயேசு, இதைக் கேட்டவுடன் அவர்களை நோக்கி, ``நோயற்றவருக்கு அல்ல, நோயுற்றவருக்கே மருத்துவர் தேவை. நேர்மையாளர்களை அல்ல, பாவிகளையே அழைக்க வந்தேன்'' என்றார். 

இது கிறிஸ்து வழங்கும் நற்செய்தி.

பல்லவி: ஆண்டவரே உம் வார்த்தைகள் வாழ்வு தரும் ஆவியைக் கொடுக்கின்றன. 

7 ஆண்டவரின் திருச்சட்டம் நிறைவானது;

அது புத்துயிர் அளிக்கின்றது.

ஆண்டவரின் ஒழுங்குமுறை நம்பத்தக்கது;

எளியவருக்கு அது ஞானம் அளிக்கின்றது. -பல்லவி 

8 ஆண்டவரின் நியமங்கள் சரியானவை;

அவை இதயத்தை மகிழ்விக்கின்றன.

ஆண்டவரின் கட்டளைகள் ஒளிமயமானவை;

அவை கண்களை ஒளிர்விக்கின்றன. -பல்லவி 

9 ஆண்டவரைப் பற்றிய அச்சம் தூயது;

அது எந்நாளும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.

ஆண்டவரின் நீதிநெறிகள் உண்மையானவை;

அவை முற்றிலும் நீதியானவை. -பல்லவி 

14 என் கற்பாறையும் மீட்பருமான ஆண்டவரே!

என் வாயின் சொற்கள் உமக்கு ஏற்றவையாய் இருக்கட்டும்;

என் உள்ளத்தின் எண்ணங்கள் உமக்கு உகந்தவையாய் இருக்கட்டும். -பல்லவி

அல்லேலூயா, அல்லேலூயா! ஏழைகளுக்கு நற்செய்தியை அறிவிக்கவும் சிறைப்பட்டோர் விடுதலை அடைவர், பார்வையற்றோர் பார்வை பெறுவர் என முழக்கமிடவும் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோரை விடுதலை செய்து அனுப்பவும் ஆண்டவர் என்னை அனுப்பியுள்ளார். அல்லேலூயா.

அருள் நிறைந்த இறை அரியணையைத் துணிவுடன் அணுகிச் செல்வோமாக. 

எபிரேயருக்கு எழுதப்பட்ட திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 4: 12-16 

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே, கடவுளுடைய வார்த்தை உயிருள்ளது, ஆற்றல் வாய்ந்தது; இரு பக்கமும் வெட்டக்கூடிய எந்த வாளினும் கூர்மையானது; ஆன்மாவையும் ஆவியையும் பிரிக்கும் அளவுக்குக் குத்தி ஊடுருவுகிறது; எலும்பு மூட்டையும் மச்சையையும் அவ்வாறே ஊடுருவுகிறது; உள்ளத்தின் சிந்தனைகளையும் நோக்கங்களையும் சீர்தூக்கிப் பார்க்கிறது. படைப்பு எதுவும் கடவுளுடைய பார்வைக்கு மறைவாய் இல்லை. அவருடைய கண்களுக்கு முன் அனைத்தும் மறைவின்றி வெளிப்படையாய் இருக்கின்றன. நாம் அவருக்கே கணக்குக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். எனவே, வானங்களைக் கடந்து சென்ற இறைமகனாகிய இயேசுவை நாம் தனிப்பெரும் தலைமைக் குருவாகக் கொண்டுள்ளதால், நாம் அறிக்கையிடுவதை விடாது பற்றிக்கொள்வோமாக! 

ஏனெனில், நம் தலைமைக் குரு நம்முடைய வலுவின்மையைக் கண்டு இரக்கம் காட்ட இயலாதவர் அல்ல; மாறாக, எல்லா வகையிலும் நம்மைப் போலச் சோதிக்கப்பட்டவர்; எனினும் பாவம் செய்யாதவர். எனவே, நாம் இரக்கத்தைப் பெறவும், ஏற்ற வேளையில் உதவக்கூடிய அருளைக் கண்டடையவும், அருள் நிறைந்த இறை அரியணையைத் துணிவுடன் அணுகிச் செல்வோமாக. 

இது ஆண்டவர் வழங்கும் அருள்வாக்கு.

I came to call the righteous, not sinners. 

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 2:13-17 

He went out again to the shore of the lake; and all the people came to him, and he taught them.

As he was walking along he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, 'Follow me.' And he got up and followed him.

When Jesus was at dinner in his house, a number of tax collectors and sinners were also sitting at table with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many of them among his followers.

When the scribes of the Pharisee party saw him eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, 'Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?'

When Jesus heard this he said to them, 'It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. I came to call not the upright, but sinners.'

FIRST READING 

Let us boldly approach the throne of grace. 

A Reading from the Book of Hebrews 4:12-16 

The word of God is something alive and active: it cuts more incisively than any two-edged sword: it can seek out the place where soul is divided from spirit, or joints from marrow; it can pass judgement on secret emotions and thoughts.

No created thing is hidden from him; everything is uncovered and stretched fully open to the eyes of the one to whom we must give account of ourselves.

Since in Jesus, the Son of God, we have the supreme high priest who has gone through to the highest heaven, we must hold firm to our profession of faith.

For the high priest we have is not incapable of feeling our weaknesses with us, but has been put to the test in exactly the same way as ourselves, apart from sin.

Let us, then, have no fear in approaching the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace when we are in need of help.
