இவ்வளவு காலம் நான் உங்களோடு இருந்தும் நீ என்னை அறிந்து கொள்ளவில்லையா?

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு, தோமாவை நோக்கி: “வழியும் உண்மையும் வாழ்வும் நானே. என் வழியாய் அன்றி எவரும் தந்தையிடம் வருவதில்லை. நீங்கள் என்னை அறிந்திருந்தால் என் தந்தையையும் அறிந்திருப்பீர்கள். இது முதல் நீங்கள் தந்தையை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள். அவரைக் கண்டும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்றார்.

அப்போது பிலிப்பு அவரிடம், “ஆண்டவரே, தந்தையை எங்களுக்குக் காட்டும்; அதுவே போதும்” என்றார்.

இயேசு அவரிடம் கூறியது: “பிலிப்பே, இவ்வளவு காலம் நான் உங்களோடு இருந்தும் நீ என்னை அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லையா? என்னைக் காண்பது தந்தையைக் காண்பது ஆகும். அப்படியிருக்க, ‘தந்தையை எங்களுக்குக் காட்டும்’ என்று நீ எப்படிக் கேட்கலாம்? நான் தந்தையினுள்ளும் தந்தை என்னுள்ளும் இருப்பதை நீ நம்புவதில்லையா? நான் உங்களுக்குக் கூறியவற்றை நானாகக் கூறவில்லை. என்னுள் இருந்துகொண்டு செயலாற்றுபவர் தந்தையே. நான் தந்தையுள் இருக்கிறேன்; தந்தை என்னுள் இருக்கிறார். நான் சொல்வதை நம்புங்கள்; என் வார்த்தையின் பொருட்டு நம்பாவிட்டால் என் செயல்களின் பொருட்டாவது நம்புங்கள்.

நான் செய்யும் செயல்களை என்னிடம் நம்பிக்கை கொள்பவரும் செய்வார்; ஏன், அவற்றை விடப் பெரியவற்றையும் செய்வார். ஏனெனில் நான் தந்தையிடம் போகிறேன் என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன். நீங்கள் என் பெயரால் கேட்பதையெல்லாம் நான் செய்வேன். இவ்வாறு தந்தை மகன் வழியாய் மாட்சி பெறுவார். நீங்கள் என் பெயரால் எதைக் கேட்டாலும் செய்வேன்.”

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

உங்களுக்கு நான் அறிவித்த நற்செய்தியை நினைவுறுத்த விழைகிறேன். அதை நீங்களும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டீர்கள்; அதிலே நிலைத்தும் நிற்கிறீர்கள். நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்த நற்செய்தியை நீங்கள் உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்தால் அதன் வழியாக மீட்பு அடைவீர்கள்; இல்லையேல் நீங்கள் கொண்டிருக்கும் நம்பிக்கை பொருளற்றதே.

At that time, Jesus said to Thomas: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one goes to the Father without going through me. Since you know me, you will also know my Father. From now on you know him, and you have seen him. »Philip said to him:« Lord, show us the Father; that is enough for us. Brothers, I remind you of the Good News that I announced to you; this Gospel, you have received it; it is in him that you stand firm, it is through him that you will be saved if you keep him as I announced to you; otherwise, you have become believers for nothing.
