இயேசு பன்னிருவரையும் இருவர் இருவராக அனுப்பினார்.

✠ மாற்கு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 6: 7-13

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு பன்னிருவரையும் தம்மிடம் வரவழைத்து, அவர்களை இருவர் இருவராக அனுப்பத் தொடங்கினார்.

அவர்களுக்குத் தீய ஆவிகள்மீது அதிகாரமும் அளித்தார். மேலும், “பயணத்திற்குக் கைத்தடி தவிர உணவு, பை, இடைக்கச்சையில் செப்புக் காசு முதலிய வேறு எதையும் நீங்கள் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போகவேண்டாம். ஆனால் மிதியடி போட்டுக்கொள்ளலாம்; அணிந்திருக்கும் அங்கி ஒன்றே போதும்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.

மேலும் அவர், “நீங்கள் எங்கேயாவது ஒரு வீட்டுக்குள் சென்றால், அங்கிருந்து புறப்படும்வரை அவ்வீட்டிலேயே தங்கியிருங்கள். உங்களை எந்த ஊராவது ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமலோ உங்களுக்குச் செவிசாய்க்காமலோ போனால் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேறும்பொழுது, உங்கள் கால்களில் படிந்துள்ள தூசியை உதறிவிடுங்கள். இதுவே அவர்களுக்கு எதிரான சான்றாகும்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறினார்.

அப்படியே அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்று மக்கள் மனம் மாற வேண்டுமென்று பறைசாற்றினார்கள்; பல பேய்களை ஓட்டினார்கள்; உடல் நலமற்றோர் பலரை எண்ணெய் பூசிக் குணப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

உலகம் தோன்றுவதற்கு முன்பே கடவுள் நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்து வழியாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார்.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் எபேசியருக்கு எழுதிய திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 1: 3-14

நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் தந்தையும் கடவுளுமானவர் போற்றி! அவர் விண்ணகம் சார்ந்த, ஆவிக்குரிய ஆசி அனைத்தையும் கிறிஸ்து வழியாக நம்மீது பொழிந்துள்ளார். நாம் தூயோராகவும், மாசற்றோராகவும் தம் திருமுன் விளங்கும்படி, உலகம் தோன்றுவதற்கு முன்பே கடவுள் நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்து வழியாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார். அவர் நம்மை இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலம் தமக்குச் சொந்தமான பிள்ளைகளாக்கிக்கொள்ள அன்பினால் முன்குறித்து வைத்தார்.

இதுவே அவரது விருப்பம்; இதுவே அவரது திருவுளம். இவ்வாறு தம் அன்பார்ந்த மகன் வழியாக நம்மீது ஒப்புயர்வற்ற அருளைப் பொழிந் தருளியதால் அவரது புகழைப் பாடுகிறோம். கிறிஸ்து இரத்தம் சிந்தி தம் அருள்வளத்திற்கு ஏற்ப நமக்கு மீட்பு அளித்துள்ளார்; இம்மீட்பால் குற்றங்களிலிருந்து நாம் மன்னிப்புப் பெறுகிறோம். அந்த அருளை அவர் நம்மில் பெருகச் செய்து, அனைத்து ஞானத்தையும் அறிவுத் திறனையும் தந்துள்ளார். அவர் தமது திருவுளத்தின் மறைபொருளை நமக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தியுள்ளார். இது கிறிஸ்து வழியாகக் கடவுள் விரும்பிச் செய்த தீர்மானம். கால நிறைவில் விண்ணிலுள்ளவை, மண்ணிலுள்ளவை அனைத்தையுமே கிறிஸ்துவின் தலைமையில் ஒன்று சேர்க்கவேண்டும் என்ற திட்டமே அம்மறைபொருள்.

கடவுள் தமது திருவுளத்தின் திட்டத்தின்படி அனைத்தையும் செயல்படுத்தி வருகிறார். அவரது தீர்மானத்தால் நாம் முன்குறிக்கப்பட்டு, கிறிஸ்து வழியாய் அவரது உரிமைப் பேற்றுக்கு உரியவரானோம். இவ்வாறு கிறிஸ்துவின் மேல் முதலில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்த நாங்கள் கடவுளுடைய மாட்சியைப் புகழ்ந்துபாட வேண்டுமென அவர் விரும்பினார். நீங்களும், உங்களுக்கு மீட்பளிக்கும் நற்செய்தியாகிய உண்மையின் வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு, அவர்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு, வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட தூய ஆவியால் அவருக்குள் முத்திரையிடப்பட்டீர்கள். அந்தத் தூய ஆவியே நாம் மீட்படைந்து உரிமைப்பேறு பெறுவோம் என்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் அடையாளமாக இருக்கிறது. இவ்வாறு கடவுளது மாட்சியின் புகழ் விளங்கும்.

அந்நாள்களில்

பெத்தேலின் குருவாகிய அமட்சியா ஆமோசைப் பார்த்து, “காட்சி காண்பவனே, இங்கிருந்து போய்விடு; யூதாவின் நாட்டுக்கு ஓடிவிடு; அங்கே போய் இறைவாக்கு உரைத்து, உன் பிழைப்பைத் தேடிக்கொள். பெத்தேலில் இனி ஒருபோதும் இறைவாக்கு உரைக்காதே; ஏனெனில், இது அரசின் புனித இடம், அரசுக்குரிய இல்லம்” என்று சொன்னான்.

ஆமோஸ் அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக அமட்சியாவைப் பார்த்துக் கூறினார்: “நான் இறைவாக்கினன் இல்லை; இறைவாக்கினர் குழுவில் உறுப்பினனும் இல்லை; நான் ஆடு மாடு மேய்ப்பவன், காட்டு அத்திமரத் தோட்டக்காரன். ஆடுகள் ஓட்டிக் கொண்டுபோன என்னை ஆண்டவர் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, ‘என் மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலிடம் சென்று, இறைவாக்கு உரைத்திடு’ என்று அனுப்பினார்.”

"He began to send them" 

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Mark (6, 7-13) 

At that time Jesus called the Twelve; so he began to send them on a mission two by two. He gave them authority over unclean spirits, and he commanded them not to take anything for the journey, but only a staff; no bread, no bag, no coins in their belt. “Put on sandals, don't take a spare tunic. He would say to them again: "When you have found hospitality in a house, stay there until you leave. If, in a locality, people refuse to welcome you and listen to you, go and shake the dust off your feet: it will be a testimony to them. "

They left, and proclaimed the need to convert. They expelled many demons, anointed many sick people with oil, and healed them.

Reading from the letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Ephesians (1, 3-14) 

Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He has blessed and showered us with the blessings of the Spirit in heaven in Christ; He has chosen us in Christ before the foundation of the world, to be holy, spotless before Him, in love. He predestined us to be adopted sons to him by Jesus the Christ. Thus willed his goodness, to the glorious praise of his grace, the grace which he gives us in the beloved Son. In him, through his blood, we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. It is the richness of grace that God has made to overflow to us in all wisdom and understanding. He thus reveals to us the mystery of his will, as his goodness foresaw it in Christ: to bring times to their fullness, to recapitulate all things in Christ, those of heaven and those of earth. In him, we have become the particular domain of God, we have been predestined there according to the plan of the one who achieves all that he has decided: he wanted us to live to the praise of his glory, we who have to advance hoped for in Christ; in him you also, after having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and having believed in it, you have received the mark of the Holy Spirit. In those days Amazias, the priest of Bethel, said to the prophet Amos: “You seer, go out of here, flee into the land of Judah; it is there that you will be able to earn your living by doing your profession as a prophet. But here at Bethel, stop prophesying; for it is a royal sanctuary, a temple of the kingdom. Amos replied to Amazias: “I was not a prophet nor the son of a prophet; I was a herdsman, and I looked after the sycamores.
