*🕯️A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St Luke 10:21-24*

Just at this time, filled with joy by the Holy Spirit, he said, 'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children. Yes, Father, for that is what it has pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.' Then turning to his disciples he spoke to them by themselves, 'Blessed are the eyes that see what you see, for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and never saw it; to hear what you hear, and never heard it.'

1 [Of Solomon] God, endow the king with your own fair judgement, the son of the king with your own saving justice, 

7 In his days uprightness shall flourish, and peace in plenty till the moon is no more.

8 His empire shall stretch from sea to sea, from the river to the limits of the earth. 

12 For he rescues the needy who calls to him, and the poor who has no one to help.

13 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the needy from death. 

17May his name be blessed for ever, and endure in the sight of the sun. In him shall be blessed every race in the world, and all nations call him blessed.

In the day of the Lord

A sprig will sprout from the base of Isai; From its roots a branch grows and bears fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him; Wisdom, Consciousness, Wisdom, Energy, Intuition, Fear of the Lord - these are the things that the Spirit bestows on him. He too would have enjoyed walking in the fear of the Lord.

He gives justice only by what the eye sees; He judges only by what love hears; He will honestly give justice to the poor; Will investigate the country’s simplest case with neutrality; He will strike the wicked with the rod of the word; The breath that rises from the lips will destroy Theora. Honesty is halfway to him; The truth intercepted him.

On that day, the wolf will stay with the lamb; The leopard will lie down with the cub. The calf, the lion, and the fat bull live together; The green baby will carry them. The cow and the bear graze together; Their cubs lie down together; The lion eats straw like a calf; The milk-drinking baby virion will play in the snake's hoop; The weaned child drops his hand into the tortoise's hoop. There is no one who will do evil in all my affairs; There is no one to harm; For as the sea is full of water, so the Lord of the earth will be full of knowledge of me.

On that day, other nations will seek the root of Isaiah, the symbol of the people; The place where he rests will be majestic.

அக்காலத்தில் இயேசு தூய ஆவியால் பேருவகையடைந்து, தந்தையே, விண்ணுக்கும் மண்ணுக்கும் ஆண்டவரே, உம்மைப் போற்றுகிறேன். ஏனெனில் ஞானிகளுக்கும் அறிஞர்களுக்கும் இவற்றை மறைத்து, குழந்தைகளுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினீர். ஆம், தந்தையே, இதுவே உமது திருவுளம்'' என்றார். என் தந்தை எல்லாவற்றையும் என்னிடத்தில் ஒப்படைத்திருக்கிறார். தந்தையைத் தவிர வேறு எவரும் மகனை அறியார். தந்தை யாரென்று மகனுக்குத் தெரியும்; மகன் யாருக்கு வெளிப்படுத்த விரும்புகிறாரோ அவருக்கும் தெரியும். வேறு எவரும் தந்தையை அறியார்'' என்று கூறினார். பின்பு அவர் தம் சீடர் பக்கம் திரும்பி அவர்களிடம் தனியாக, நீங்கள் காண்பவற்றைக் காணும் வாய்ப்புப் பெற்றோர் பேறுபெற்றோர். ஏனெனில் பல இறைவாக்கினர்களும் அரசர்களும் நீங்கள் காண்பவற்றைக் காண விரும்பினார்கள். ஆனால், அவர்கள் காணவில்லை. நீங்கள் கேட்பவற்றைக் கேட்க விரும்பினார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் கேட்கவில்லை என நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்'' என்று கூறினார்.

1 கடவுளே, அரசருக்கு உமது நீதித்தீர்ப்பை வழங்கும் ஆற்றலை அளியும்;

அரச மைந்தரிடம் உமது நீதி விளங்கச் செய்யும்.

2 அவர் உம் மக்களை நீதியோடு ஆள்வாராக!

உம்முடையவரான எளியோர்க்கு நீதித்தீர்ப்பு வழங்குவாராக! -பல்லவி 

7 அவர் காலத்தில் நீதி தழைத்தோங்குவதாக;

நிலா உள்ள வரையில் மிகுந்த சமாதானம் நிலவுவதாக.

8 ஒரு கடலிலிருந்து அடுத்த கடல்வரைக்கும் அவர் ஆட்சி செலுத்துவார்;

பேராற்றிலிருந்து உலகின் எல்லைவரைக்கும் அவர் அரசாள்வார். -பல்லவி 

12 தம்மை நோக்கி மன்றாடும் ஏழைகளையும்

திக்கற்ற எளியோரையும் அவர் விடுவிப்பார்.

13 வறியோர்க்கும் ஏழைகட்கும் அவர் இரக்கம் காட்டுவார்;

ஏழைகளின் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றுவார். -பல்லவி 

17 அவர் பெயர் என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருப்பதாக!

கதிரவன் உள்ளவரையில் அவர் பெயர் நிலைப்பதாக!

அவர்மூலம் மனிதர் ஆசிபெற விழைவராக! எல்லா நாட்டினரும்

அவரை நற்பேறு பெற்றவரென வாழ்த்துவராக! -பல்லவி

*இறைவாக்கினர் எசாயா நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 11: 1-10*

ஆண்டவருக்குரிய நாளில் ஈசாய் என்னும் அடிமரத்திலிருந்து தளிர் ஒன்று துளிர் விடும்; அதன் வேர்களிலிருந்து கிளை ஒன்று வளர்ந்து கனி தரும். ஆண்டவரின் ஆவி அவர்மேல் தங்கியிருக்கும்; ஞானம், மெய்யுணர்வு, அறிவுரைத் திறன், ஆற்றல், நுண்மதி, ஆண்டவரைப்பற்றிய அச்ச உணர்வு - இவற்றை அந்த ஆவி அவருக்கு அருளும். அவரும் ஆண்டவருக்கு அஞ்சி நடப்பதில் மகிழ்ந்திருப்பார். கண் கண்டதைக் கொண்டு மட்டும் அவர் நீதி வழங்கார்; காதால் கேட்டதைக் கொண்டு மட்டும் அவர் தீர்ப்புச் செய்யார்; நேர்மையோடு ஏழைகளுக்கு நீதி வழங்குவார்; நடுநிலையோடு நாட்டின் எளியோரது வழக்கை விசாரிப்பார்; வார்த்தை எனும் கோலினால் கொடியவரை அடிப்பார்; உதட்டில் எழும் மூச்சினால் தீயோரை அழிப்பார். நேர்மை அவருக்கு அரைக்கச்சை; உண்மை அவருக்கு இடைக்கச்சை.

அந்நாளில், ஓநாய் செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டியோடு தங்கியிருக்கும்; அக்குட்டியோடு சிறுத்தைப்புலி படுத்துக்கொள்ளும். கன்றும், சிங்கக்குட்டியும், கொழுத்த காளையும் கூடி வாழும்; பச்சிளம் குழந்தை அவற்றை நடத்திச் செல்லும். பசுவும் கரடியும் ஒன்றாய் மேயும்; அவற்றின் குட்டிகள் சேர்ந்து படுத்துக்கிடக்கும்; சிங்கம் மாட்டைப்போல் வைக்கோல் தின்னும்; பால் குடிக்கும் குழந்தை விரியன் பாம்பின் வளையில் விளையாடும்; பால்குடி மறந்த பிள்ளை கட்டுவிரியன் வளையினுள் தன் கையை விடும். என் திருமலை முழுவதிலும் தீமை செய்வார் எவருமில்லை; கேடு விளைவிப்பார் யாருமில்லை; ஏனெனில், கடல் தண்ணீரால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது போல, மண்ணுலகம் ஆண்டவராம் என்னைப் பற்றிய அறிவால் நிறைந்திருக்கும். அந்நாளில், மக்களினங்களுக்குச் சின்னமாய் விளங்கும் ஈசாயின் வேரைப் பிற இனத்தார் தேடி வருவார்கள்; அவர் இளைப்பாறும் இடம் மாட்சி நிறைந்ததாக இருக்கும்.
