நான்கு திசைகளிலிருந்தும் தேர்ந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களைக் கூட்டிச் சேர்ப்பார்.

✠ மாற்கு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 13: 24-32

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம் சீடர்களுக்குக் கூறியது: அந்நாள்களில் வேதனைகளுக்குப் பிறகு கதிரவன் இருண்டு விடும்; நிலா ஒளி கொடாது. விண்மீன்கள் வானத்திலிருந்து விழுந்த வண்ணமிருக்கும்; வான்வெளிக் கோள்கள் அதிரும்.

அப்போது மிகுந்த வல்லமையோடும் மாட்சியோடும் மானிடமகன் மேகங்கள் மீது வருவதைக் காண்பார்கள். பின்பு அவர் வானதூதரை அனுப்பி, அவர்கள் மண்ணுலகில் ஒரு கோடியிலிருந்து விண்ணுலகில் மறு கோடிவரை நான்கு திசைகளிலிருந்தும் தேர்ந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களைக் கூட்டிச் சேர்ப்பார்.

அத்திமரத்திலிருந்து ஓர் உண்மையைக் கற்றுக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அதன் கிளைகள் தளிர்த்து இலைகள் தோன்றும்போது கோடைக் காலம் நெருங்கி வந்துவிட்டது என நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்கிறீர்கள். அவ்வாறே இவை நிகழ்வதைக் காணும்போது மானிடமகன் கதவை நெருங்கி வந்துவிட்டார் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

இவையனைத்தும் நிகழும்வரை இத்தலைமுறை ஒழிந்து போகாது என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன். விண்ணும் மண்ணும் ஒழிந்துபோகும்; ஆனால் என் வார்த்தைகள் ஒழியவேமாட்டா.

ஆனால் அந்த நாளையும் வேளையையும் பற்றித் தந்தைக்குத் தவிர வேறு எவருக்கும் தெரியாது; விண்ணகத்திலுள்ள தூதருக்கோ மகனுக்கோ கூடத் தெரியாது.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

ஒவ்வொரு குருவும் நாள்தோறும் இறை ஊழியம் புரியும்போது மீண்டும் மீண்டும் அதே பலிகளைச் செலுத்தி வருகிறார். அவையோ பாவங்களை ஒருபோதும் போக்க இயலாதவை. ஆனால், இவர் ஒரே பலியைப் பாவங்களுக்காக என்றென்றைக்கும் எனச் செலுத்திவிட்டு, கடவுளின் வலப் பக்கத்தில் அமர்ந்துள்ளார். அங்கே தம் பகைவர் தமக்குக் கால்மணை ஆக்கப்படும்வரை காத்திருக்கிறார்.

தாம் தூயவராக்கியவர்களை ஒரே பலியினால் என்றென்றைக்கும் நிறைவுள்ளவராக்கினார். எனவே பாவ மன்னிப்புக் கிடைத்தபின் பாவத்திற்குக் கழுவாயாகச் செலுத்தும் பலிக்கு இடமே இல்லை.

Jesus said to his disciples: ‘In those days, after the time of distress, the sun will be darkened, the moon will lose its brightness, the stars will come falling from heaven and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory; then too he will send the angels to gather his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the world to the ends of heaven.

  ‘Take the fig tree as a parable: as soon as its twigs grow supple and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. So with you when you see these things happening: know that he is near, at the very gates. I tell you solemnly, before this generation has passed away all these things will have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

When all sins have been forgiven, there can be no more sin-offerings.

Hebrews 10: 11-14,18 

All the priests stand at their duties every day, offering over and over again the same sacrifices which are quite incapable of taking sins away. He, on the other hand, has offered one single sacrifice for sins, and then taken his place forever, at the right hand of God, where he is now waiting until his enemies are made into a footstool for him. By virtue of that one single offering, he has achieved the eternal perfection of all whom he is sanctifying. When all sins have been forgiven, there can be no more sin offerings.

‘At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who mounts guard over your people. There is going to be a time of great distress, unparalleled since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, your own people will be spared, all those whose names are found written in the Book. Of those who lie sleeping in the dust of the earth many will awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting disgrace. The learned will shine as brightly as the vault of heaven, and those who have instructed many in virtue, as bright as stars for all eternity.’
