அக்காலத்தில்

கல்லறையில் இயேசுவைக் காணவந்த பெண்கள் கல்லறையை விட்டு விரைவாகப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் அச்சமுற்றாலும் அதே வேளையில் பெருமகிழ்ச்சியுற்றவர்களாய், அவருடைய சீடருக்கு அறிவிக்க ஓடினார்கள்.

திடீரென்று இயேசு அவர்களை எதிர்கொண்டு வந்து வாழ்த்தினார். அவர்கள் அவரைஅணுகி, அவர் காலடிகளைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, பணிந்து நின்றார்கள். அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “அஞ்சாதீர்கள்! என் சகோதரர்களிடம் சென்று, அவர்களைக் கலிலேயாவுக்குப் போகுமாறு சொல்லுங்கள். அங்கே அவர்கள் என்னைக் காண்பார்கள்” என்றார்.

அவர்கள் போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தபோது காவல் வீரருள் சிலர் நகரத்திற்குள் சென்று, நிகழ்ந்தவை யாவற்றையும் தலைமைக் குருக்களுக்கு அறிவித்தனர். அவர்கள் மூப்பர்களுடன் கூடிக் கலந்து ஆலோசித்து, அப்படைவீரருக்கு மிகுதியாகப் பணம் கொடுத்து, “ ‘நாங்கள் தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது இயேசுவின் சீடர் இரவில் வந்து அவரது உடலைத் திருடிச் சென்றுவிட்டனர்’ எனச் சொல்லுங்கள். ஆளுநர் இதைக் கேள்வியுற்றால் நாங்கள் அவரை நம்பச் செய்து நீங்கள் தொல்லைக்கு உள்ளாகாதபடி பார்த்துக்கொள்வோம்” என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறினார்கள். அவர்களும் பணத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு, தங்களுக்கு அவர்கள் சொல்லிக் கொடுத்தவாறே செய்தார்கள். இந்நாள்வரை இந்த வதந்தி யூதரிடையே பரவியிருக்கிறது.

கடவுள் இயேசுவை உயிர்த்தெழச் செய்தார். இதற்கு நாங்கள் அனைவரும் சாட்சிகள்.

திருத்தூதர் பணிகள் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 14, 22-33

பெந்தக்கோஸ்து நாளில் பேதுரு பதினொருவருடன் சேர்ந்து, எழுந்து நின்று, உரத்த குரலில் அவர்களிடம் பின்வருமாறு கூறினார்:

‘‘யூத மக்களே, எருசலேமில் வாழும் மக்களே, இதைத் தெரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; எனது சொற்களைக் கவனித்துக் கேளுங்கள்.

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே, நமது குலமுதல்வராகிய தாவீதைக் குறித்து நான் சொல்வதை மறுக்க மாட்டீர்கள். அவர் காலமாகி அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டார். அவர் கல்லறை இந்நாள்வரை நம்மிடையே இருக்கிறது. அவர் இறைவாக்கினர் என்பதால், தம் வழித்தோன்றல் ஒருவர் அவரது அரியணையில் வீற்றிருப்பார் என்று கடவுள் உறுதியாக ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறியதை அறிந்திருந்தார். அவர் கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலை முன்னறிந்து, ‘அவரைப் பாதாளத்திடம் ஒப்புவிக்கமாட்டீர்; அவரது உடல் படுகுழியைக் காணவிடமாட்டீர்’ என்று கூறியிருக்கிறார். கடவுள் இந்த இயேசுவை உயிர்த்தெழச் செய்தார். இதற்கு நாங்கள் அனைவரும் சாட்சிகள். அவர் கடவுளின் வலப்பக்கத்துக்கு உயர்த்தப்பட்டு, வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட தூய ஆவியைத் தம் தந்தையிடமிருந்து பெற்றுப் பொழிந்தருளினார். நீங்கள் காண்பதும் கேட்பதும் இதுதான்.“

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Matthew (28, 8-15) 

At that time, when the women heard the words of the angel, quickly they left the tomb, filled with both fear and great joy, and they ran to bring the news to his disciples. And behold, Jesus came to meet them and said to them, “Hail. They came over, grabbed his feet and bowed down to him. Then Jesus said to them: “Do not be afraid, go and tell my brothers that they must go to Galilee: it is there that they will see me. While they were on their way, some of the guards went into town to tell the high priests everything that had happened. These, after meeting with the elders and having held a council, gave the soldiers a large sum, saying: “This is what you will say: 'His disciples have come to steal the body, at night while we were sleeping. ” And if it all comes to the governor's ears, we'll explain it to him, and save you all trouble. The soldiers took the money and followed the instructions. And this explanation has spread among the Jews until today.

“This Jesus, God raised up; we are all witnesses ” 

Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (2, 14. 22b-33) 

On the day of Pentecost, Peter, standing with the other eleven Apostles, raised his voice and made this declaration to them: “You Jews, and all of you who reside in Jerusalem, know this well, listen to my words. This is Jesus the Nazarene, a man whom God accredited to you by performing miracles, wonders and signs in your midst, as you yourselves know. This man, delivered according to the well-defined plan and the foreknowledge of God, you have suppressed him by nailing him to the wood by the hand of the ungodly. But God resurrected him by delivering him from the pains of death, for it was not possible for him to hold him in her power. Indeed, it is of him that David speaks in the psalm: I saw the Lord before me without slackening: he is at my right hand, I am immovable. This is why my heart is in feast, and my tongue exults with joy; my flesh itself will rest in hope: you cannot abandon me to hell, nor let your faithful see corruption. You taught me the ways of life, you will fill me with joy by your presence. Brethren, it is permissible to tell you with assurance, concerning Patriarch David, that he is dead, that he has been buried, and that his tomb is still with us today. Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn to him that a man of his own would sit on his throne.
