நீ சேர்த்து வைத்தவை யாருடையவையாகும்?

✠ லூக்கா எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 12: 13-21

அக்காலத்தில்

கூட்டத்தில் இருந்த ஒருவர் இயேசுவிடம், “போதகரே, சொத்தை என்னோடு பங்கிட்டுக் கொள்ளுமாறு என் சகோதரருக்குச் சொல்லும்” என்றார். அவர் அந்த ஆளை நோக்கி, “என்னை உங்களுக்கு நடுவராகவோ பாகம் பிரிப்பவராகவோ அமர்த்தியவர் யார்?” என்று கேட்டார். பின்பு அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி, “எவ்வகைப் பேராசைக்கும் இடங்கொடாதவாறு எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருங்கள். மிகுதியான உடைமைகளைக் கொண்டிருப்பதால் ஒருவருக்கு வாழ்வு வந்துவிடாது” என்றார்.

அவர்களுக்கு அவர் ஓர் உவமையைச் சொன்னார்: “செல்வனாய் இருந்த ஒருவனுடைய நிலம் நன்றாய் விளைந்தது. அவன், ‘நான் என்ன செய்வேன்? என் விளைபொருள்களைச் சேர்த்து வைக்க இடமில்லையே!’ என்று எண்ணினான். ‘ஒன்று செய்வேன்; என் களஞ்சியங்களை இடித்து இன்னும் பெரிதாகக் கட்டுவேன்; அங்கு என் தானியத்தையும் பொருள்களையும் சேர்த்து வைப்பேன்'. பின்பு, ‘என் நெஞ்சமே, உனக்குப் பல்லாண்டுகளுக்கு வேண்டிய பலவகைப் பொருள்கள் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன; நீ ஓய்வெடு; உண்டு குடித்து, மகிழ்ச்சியில் திளைத்திடு’ எனச் சொல்வேன் என்று தனக்குள் கூறிக்கொண்டான். ஆனால் கடவுள் அவனிடம், ‘அறிவிலியே, இன்றிரவே உன் உயிர் உன்னை விட்டுப் பிரிந்துவிடும். அப்பொழுது நீ சேர்த்து வைத்தவை யாருடையவையாகும்?’ என்று கேட்டார். கடவுள் முன்னிலையில் செல்வம் இல்லாதவராய்த் தமக்காகவே செல்வம் சேர்ப்பவர் இத்தகையோரே.”

மேலுலகு சார்ந்தவை பற்றியே எண்ணுங்கள்.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கொலோசையருக்கு எழுதிய திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 1-5, 9-11

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவோடு உயிர்பெற்று எழுந்தவர்களானால் மேலுலகு சார்ந்தவற்றை நாடுங்கள். அங்குக் கிறிஸ்து கடவுளின் வலப் பக்கத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறார். இவ்வுலகு சார்ந்தவை பற்றி அல்ல, மேலுலகு சார்ந்தவை பற்றியே எண்ணுங்கள். ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவோடு இறந்து விட்டீர்கள். உங்கள் வாழ்வு அவரோடு இணைந்து கடவுளிடம் மறைந்து இருக்கிறது. கிறிஸ்துவே உங்களுக்கு வாழ்வு அளிப்பவர். அவர் தோன்றும்பொழுது நீங்களும் அவரோடு மாட்சி பொருந்தியவராய்த் தோன்றுவீர்கள்.

ஆகவே உலகப் போக்கிலான உங்கள் இயல்புக்குரிய பரத்தைமை, ஒழுக்கக்கேடு, கட்டுக்கடங்காத பாலுணர்வு, தீய நாட்டம், சிலை வழிபாடான பேராசை ஆகியவற்றை ஒழித்துவிடுங்கள்.

ஒருவரோடு ஒருவர் பொய் பேசாதீர்கள். ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் பழைய மனித இயல்பையும் அதற்குரிய செயல்களையும் களைந்துவிட்டு, புதிய மனித இயல்பை அணிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள். அவ்வியல்பு தன்னை உண்டாக்கினவரின் சாயலுக்கேற்பப் புதுப்பிக்கப்படுகிறது. இவ்வாறு நீங்கள் கடவுளை முழுமையாய் அறிய முடியும். புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் கிரேக்கர் என்றும், யூதர் என்றும், விருத்தசேதனம் பெற்றவர் என்றும், விருத்தசேதனம் பெறாதவர் என்றும், நாகரிகம் அற்றோர் என்றும், சீத்தியர் என்றும், அடிமை என்றும், உரிமைக் குடிமக்கள் என்றும் வேறுபாடு இல்லை. கிறிஸ்துவே அனைவருள்ளும் அனைத்துமாய் இருப்பார்.

ஆண்டவரே, திரும்பி வாரும்; எத்துணைக் காலம் இந்நிலை? உம் ஊழியருக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டும். - பல்லவி

காலைதோறும் உமது பேரன்பால் எங்களுக்கு நிறைவளியும்; அப்பொழுது வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் நாங்கள் களிகூர்ந்து மகிழ்வோம்.

வீண், முற்றிலும் வீண், என்கிறார் சபையுரையாளர்; வீண், முற்றிலும் வீண், எல்லாமே வீண்.

ஏனெனில், ஞானத்தோடும் அறிவாற்றலோடும் திறமையோடும் ஒருவர் உழைக்கிறார்; உழைத்துச் சேர்த்த சொத்தை அதற்காக உழைக்காதவருக்கு விட்டுச் செல்கிறார். அவரது உழைப்பும் வீணே. இது பெரிய அநீதி. உலகில் அவர் செய்த எல்லா முயற்சிக்காகவும், வகுத்த செயல் திட்டங்களுக்காகவும் அவருக்குக் கிடைக்கும் பயன் என்ன? வாழ் நாளெல்லாம் அவருக்குத் துன்பம்; வேலையில் தொந்தரவு; இரவிலும் அவரது மனத்திற்கு அமைதியில்லை. எல்லாம் வீணே.

A man in the crowd said to Jesus, ‘Master, tell my brother to give me a share of our inheritance.’ ‘My friend,’ he replied, ‘who appointed me your judge, or the arbitrator of your claims?’ Then he said to them, ‘Watch, and be on your guard against avarice of any kind, for a man’s life is not made secure by what he owns, even when he has more than he needs.’

  Then he told them a parable: ‘There was once a rich man who, having had a good harvest from his land, thought to himself, “What am I to do? I have not enough room to store my crops.” Then he said, “This is what I will do: I will pull down my barns and build bigger ones, and store all my grain and my goods in them, and I will say to my soul: My soul, you have plenty of good things laid by for many years to come; take things easy, eat, drink, have a good time.” But God said to him, “Fool! This very night the demand will be made for your soul; and this hoard of yours, whose will it be then?” So it is when a man stores up treasure for himself in place of making himself rich in the sight of God.’

Vanity of vanities; all is vanity

Ecclesiastes 1:2, 2:21-23 

Vanity of vanities, the Preacher says. Vanity of vanities. All is vanity!

  For so it is that a man who has laboured wisely, skilfully and successfully must leave what is his own to someone who has not toiled for it at all. This, too, is vanity and great injustice; for what does he gain for all the toil and strain that he has undergone under the sun? What of all his laborious days, his cares of office, his restless nights? This, too, is vanity.
