மே 7 :  நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

நீங்களும் ஒருவர் மற்றவரிடம் அன்புகொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே என் கட்டளை.

யோவான் எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 15: 12-17

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம் சீடரை நோக்கிக் கூறியது: “நான் உங்களிடம் அன்பு கொண்டிருப்பதுபோல நீங்களும் ஒருவர் மற்றவரிடம் அன்பு கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே என் கட்டளை. தம் நண்பர்களுக்காக உயிரைக் கொடுப்பதைவிடச் சிறந்த அன்பு யாரிடமும் இல்லை. நான் கட்டளை இடுவதையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் செய்தால் நீங்கள் என் நண்பர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள். இனி நான் உங்களைப் பணியாளர் என்று சொல்லமாட்டேன். ஏனெனில் தம் தலைவர் செய்வது இன்னது என்று பணியாளருக்குத் தெரியாது. உங்களை நான் நண்பர்கள் என்றேன்; ஏனெனில் என் தந்தையிடமிருந்து நான் கேட்டவை அனைத்தையும் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தேன்.

நீங்கள் என்னைத் தேர்ந்துகொள்ளவில்லை; நான்தான் உங்களைத் தேர்ந்துகொண்டேன். நீங்கள் கனி தரவும், நீங்கள் தரும் கனி நிலைத்திருக்கவும் உங்களை ஏற்படுத்தினேன். ஆகவே நீங்கள் என் பெயரால் தந்தையிடம் கேட்பதையெல்லாம் அவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பார். நீங்கள் ஒருவர் மற்றவரிடம் அன்பு கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பதே என் கட்டளை.”

இன்றியமையாதவற்றைத் தவிர வேறு எந்தச் சுமையையும் உங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தக்கூடாது என்று தீர்மானித்தோம்.

அந்நாள்களில்

திருத்தூதர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் திருச்சபையார் அனைவரும் தம்முள் சிலரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து அவர்களைப் பவுலோடும் பர்னபாவோடும் அந்தியோக்கியாவுக்கு அனுப்புவது என்று தீர்மானித்தனர். அவ்வாறே அவர்கள் சகோதரர்களிடையே முதன்மை இடம் பெற்றிருந்த பர்சபா என அழைக்கப்பட்ட யூதாவையும் சீலாவையும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார்கள். பின்பு அவர்கள் ஒரு கடிதத்தை எழுதி அவர்கள் கையில் கொடுத்து அனுப்பினார்கள்.

அக்கடிதத்தில், “திருத்தூதரும் மூப்பரும் சகோதரருமாகிய நாங்கள் அந்தியோக்கியா, சிரியா, சிலிசியா ஆகிய இடங்களிலுள்ள பிற இனத்துச் சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளுக்கு வாழ்த்துக் கூறுகின்றோம். எங்களுள் சிலர் அங்கு வந்து தங்களுடைய பேச்சால் உங்களது மனத்தைக் குழப்பி உங்களைக் கலக்கமுறச் செய்தனர் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டோம். இவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் எந்தக் கட்டளையும் கொடுக்கவில்லை. எனவே, நாங்கள் ஒருமனத்துடன் கூடிவந்து சிலரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து எம் அன்புக்குரிய பர்னபா, பவுல் ஆகியோரோடு உங்களிடம் அனுப்புவதென்று தீர்மானித்தோம். இவர்கள் இருவரும் நம் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்காகத் தங்கள் உயிரையும் கொடுக்கத் துணிந்தவர்கள். எனவே, நாங்கள் யூதாவையும் சீலாவையும் உங்களிடம் அனுப்புகிறோம். அவர்கள் நாங்கள் எழுதுகிற இவற்றைத் தங்கள் வாய்மொழி மூலம் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்கள்.

இன்றியமையாதவற்றைத் தவிர அதிகமான வேறு எந்தச் சுமையையும் உங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தக்கூடாது என்று தூய ஆவியாரும் நாங்களும் தீர்மானித்தோம். சிலைகளுக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டவை, இரத்தம், கழுத்து நெரிக்கப்பட்டுச் செத்தவை மற்றும் பரத்தைமை ஆகியவற்றை நீங்கள் தவிர்த்து உங்களைக் காத்துக்கொள்வது நல்லது. வாழ்த்துகள் ” என்று எழுதியிருந்தார்கள்.

யூதாவும் சீலாவும் விடை பெற்று அந்தியோக்கியா வந்தனர். அங்கு மக்களைக் கூட்டிக் கடிதத்தைக் கொடுத்தனர். அதை வாசித்ததும் அவர்கள் ஊக்கமடைந்து மகிழ்ச்சியுற்றார்கள்.

You are my friends if you do as I command you. "The Holy Spirit and ourselves have decided not to place on you other obligations than these, which are necessary" 

A Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (15, 22-31) 

In those days, the Apostles and the Elders decided with the whole Church to choose from among themselves men whom they would send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. These were men who had authority among the brethren: Jude, also called Barsabbas, and Silas. Here is what they wrote with their own hand: “The Apostles and the Elders, your brothers, to the brothers from the nations, who reside in Antioch, in Syria and in Cilicia, hello! Whereas some of our people, as we have learned, have gone, without any mandate from us, to make remarks that have thrown you into trouble and dismay, we have unanimously decided to choose men whom we send to you, with our beloved brothers Barnabas and Paul, who have given their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We therefore send you Jude and Silas, who will verbally confirm the following to you: The Holy Spirit and ourselves have decided not to place on you other obligations than these, which are necessary: ​​you refrain from meats offered as sacrifices to idols, from blood, from unbleached meats and from illegitimate unions. So the delegates were let go, and they went down to Antioch. Having gathered the multitude of disciples, they delivered the letter. Upon reading it, everyone rejoiced at the comfort it brought.
