மார்ச் 14 : நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

தம் மகன் வழியாக உலகை மீட்கவே கடவுள் அவரை உலகிற்கு அனுப்பினார்.

யோவான் எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 14-21

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு நிக்கதேமுக்குக் கூறியது: “பாலைநிலத்தில் மோசேயால் பாம்பு உயர்த்தப்பட்டதுபோல மானிடமகனும் உயர்த்தப்பட வேண்டும். அப்போது அவரிடம் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளும் அனைவரும் நிலைவாழ்வு பெறுவர். தம் ஒரே மகன்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளும் எவரும் அழியாமல் நிலைவாழ்வு பெறும் பொருட்டு அந்த மகனையே அளிக்கும் அளவுக்குக் கடவுள் உலகின்மேல் அன்புகூர்ந்தார். உலகிற்குத் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்பளிக்க அல்ல, தம் மகன் வழியாக அதை மீட்கவே கடவுள் அவரை உலகிற்கு அனுப்பினார். அவர்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்வோர் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாவதில்லை; ஆனால் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாதோர் ஏற்கெனவே தீர்ப்புப் பெற்றுவிட்டனர்.

ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் கடவுளின் ஒரே மகனிடம் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவில்லை. ஒளி உலகிற்கு வந்திருந்தும் தம் செயல்கள் தீயனவாய் இருந்ததால் மனிதர் ஒளியைவிட இருளையே விரும்பினர். இதில்தான் அவர்களுக்கு எதிரான தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்பு அடங்கியுள்ளது. தீங்கு செய்யும் அனைவரும் ஒளியை வெறுக்கின்றனர். தங்கள் தீச்செயல்கள் வெளியாகிவிடும் என அஞ்சி அவர்கள் ஒளியிடம் வருவதில்லை. உண்மைக்கேற்ப வாழ்பவர்கள் ஒளியிடம் வருகிறார்கள். இதனால் அவர்கள் செய்யும் அனைத்தையும் கடவுளோடு இணைந்தே செய்கிறார்கள் என்பது வெளியாகும்.”

மார்ச் 14 : இரண்டாம் வாசகம்

குற்றங்களின் காரணமாய் இறந்தவர்களாயிருந்த நீங்கள் மீட்கப்பட்டிருப்பது அந்த அருளாலேயே.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் எபேசியருக்கு எழுதிய திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 4-10

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

கடவுள் மிகுந்த இரக்கம் உடையவர். அவர் நம்மீது மிகுந்த அன்பு கொண்டுள்ளார். குற்றங்களின் காரணமாய் இறந்தவர்களாயிருந்த நாம் அவ்வன்பின் மூலம் இணைந்து உயிர் பெறச் செய்தார். நீங்கள் மீட்கப் பட்டிருப்பது அந்த அருளாலேயே. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவோடு இணைந்த நிலையில் நாம் அவரோடு உயிர்த்தெழவும் விண்ணுலகில் அவரோடு அமரவும் செய்தார். கிறிஸ்து இயேசு வழியாகக் கடவுள் நமக்குச் செய்த நன்மையையும் அவரது ஒப்புயர்வற்ற அருள் வளத்தையும் இனி வரும் காலங்களிலும் எடுத்துக்காட்டுவதற்காகவே இவ்வாறு செய்தார்.

நீங்கள் அந்த அருளாலேயே நம்பிக்கையின் வழியாக மீட்கப் பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். இது உங்கள் செயல் அல்ல; மாறாக இது கடவுளின் கொடை. இது மனிதச் செயல்களால் ஆனது அல்ல. எனவே எவரும் பெருமை பாராட்ட இயலாது. ஏனெனில் நாம் கடவுளின் கைவேலைப்பாடு; நற்செயல்கள் புரிவதற்கென்றே கிறிஸ்து இயேசு வழியாய்ப் படைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். இவ்வாறு நற்செயல்கள் புரிந்து வாழும்படி கடவுள் முன்கூட்டியே ஏற்பாடு செய்திருக்கிறார்.

தம் ஒரே மகன்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளும் எவரும் அழியாமல் நிலைவாழ்வு பெறும் பொருட்டு அந்த மகனையே அளிக்கும் அளவுக்குக் கடவுள் உலகின்மேல் அன்புகூர்ந்தார்.

அந்நாள்களில்

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To John (3, 14-21) 

At that time, Jesus said to Nicodemus: "As the bronze serpent was lifted up by Moses in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, that in him every man who believes have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him will not be lost, but obtain eternal life. For God sent his Son into the world, not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him escapes Judgment, whoever does not believe is already judged, because he did not believe in the name of the Only Begotten of God. And Judgment, here it is: light came into the world, and men preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. He who does evil hates light: he does not come to the light, lest his works be denounced; but he who does the truth comes to the light, so that it may be manifested that his works were done in union with God. "Dead as a result of faults, it is by grace that you are saved" 

Reading from the letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Ephesians (2, 4-10) 

Brothers, God is rich in mercy; because of the great love with which he loved us, we who were dead as a result of our faults, he gave us life with Christ: it is indeed by grace that you are saved. With him he resuscitated us and made us sit in heaven, in Christ Jesus. He wanted in this way to show, throughout future ages, the superabundant richness of his grace, by his goodness for us in Christ Jesus. It is indeed by grace that you are saved, and by means of faith. It doesn't come from you, it's the gift of God. It does not come from actions: no one can take pride in it. It is God who made us, he created us in Christ Jesus, with a view to carrying out good works which he prepared in advance for us to practice.

Reading from the second book of Chronicles (36, 14-16. 19-23) 

In those days all the chief priests and the people multiplied their infidelities, imitating all the abominations of the heathen nations, and they profaned the House which the Lord had consecrated in Jerusalem. The Lord, the God of their fathers, without delay and without tiring, sent them messengers, for he had mercy on his people and on his home. But they mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and mocked his prophets; finally, there was no longer a remedy for the Lord's growing fury against his people. The Babylonians burned down the House of God, destroyed the rampart of Jerusalem, set fire to all its palaces, and reduced all their valuables to nothing. Nebuchadnezzar deported to Babylon those who had escaped the massacre; they became slaves to the king and his sons until the time of the Persian rule. Thus is fulfilled the word of the Lord proclaimed by Jeremiah: The earth will be desolate and it will rest for 70 years, until it has made up for all the desecrated Sabbaths with this rest.

Now, in the first year of the reign of Cyrus, king of Persia, for the fulfillment of the word of the Lord proclaimed by Jeremiah, the Lord inspired Cyrus, king of Persia. And he had his kingdom published - and even recorded in writing -: “Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he commissioned me to build him an house in Jerusalem in Judah. Whoever among you is of his people, the Lord his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem! "
