ஜூன் 29 :  நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

உன் பெயர் பேதுரு; விண்ணரசின் திறவுகோல்களை நான் உன்னிடம் தருவேன்.

மத்தேயு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 16: 13-19.

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு, பிலிப்புச் செசரியா பகுதிக்குச் சென்றார். அவர் தம் சீடரை நோக்கி, “மானிடமகன் யாரென்று மக்கள் சொல்கிறார்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவர்கள், “சிலர் திருமுழுக்கு யோவான் எனவும் வேறு சிலர் எலியா எனவும் மற்றும் சிலர் எரேமியா அல்லது பிற இறைவாக்கினருள் ஒருவர் என்றும் சொல்கின்றனர்” என்றார்கள். “ஆனால் நீங்கள், நான் யார் எனச் சொல்கிறீர்கள்?” என்று அவர் கேட்டார்.

சீமோன் பேதுரு மறுமொழியாக, “நீர் மெசியா, வாழும் கடவுளின் மகன்” என்று உரைத்தார்.

அதற்கு இயேசு, “யோனாவின் மகனான சீமோனே, நீ பேறுபெற்றவன். ஏனெனில் எந்த மனிதரும் இதை உனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தவில்லை; மாறாக விண்ணகத்திலுள்ள என் தந்தையே வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார். எனவே நான் உனக்குக் கூறுகிறேன்: உன் பெயர் பேதுரு; இந்தப் பாறையின் மேல் என் திருச்சபையைக் கட்டுவேன். பாதாளத்தின் வாயில்கள் அதன் மேல் வெற்றி கொள்ளா. விண்ணரசின் திறவுகோல்களை நான் உன்னிடம் தருவேன். மண்ணுலகில் நீ தடைசெய்வது விண்ணுலகிலும் தடை செய்யப்படும். மண்ணுலகில் நீ அனுமதிப்பது விண்ணுலகிலும் அனுமதிக்கப்படும்” என்றார்.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

இனி எனக்கென வைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது நேரிய வாழ்வுக்கான வெற்றி வாகையே.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் திமொத்தேயுவுக்கு எழுதிய இரண்டாம் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 4: 6-8, 17-18.

அன்பிற்குரியவரே,

நான் இப்போதே என்னைப் பலியாகப் படைக்கிறேன். நான் பிரிந்து செல்லவேண்டிய நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது. நான் நல்லதொரு போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டேன். என் ஓட்டத்தை முடித்துவிட்டேன். விசுவாசத்தைக் காத்துக்கொண்டேன். இனி எனக்கென வைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது நேரிய வாழ்வுக்கான வெற்றி வாகையே. அதை இறுதி நாளில் ஆண்டவர் எனக்குத் தருவார்; நீதியான அந்த நடுவர் எனக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, அவர் தோன்றுவார் என விரும்பிக் காத்திருக்கும் அனைவருக்குமே தருவார்.

நான் அறிவித்த செய்தி நிறைவுற்று, அனைத்து நாட்டவரும் அதனைக் கேட்கவேண்டுமென்று ஆண்டவர் என் பக்கம் நின்று எனக்கு வலுவூட்டினார்; சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்தும் என்னை விடுவித்தார். தீங்கு அனைத்திலிருந்தும் அவர் என்னை விடுவித்துத் தம் விண்ணரசில் சேர்த்து எனக்கு மீட்பளிப்பார். அவருக்கே என்றென்றும் மாட்சி உரித்தாகுக! ஆமென்.

ஏரோதின் கையிலிருந்து ஆண்டவர் என்னை விடுவித்துக் காத்தார் என்று நான் உண்மையாகவே அறிந்துகொண்டேன்.

திருத்தூதர் பணிகள் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 12: 1-11

அந்நாள்களில்

ஏரோது அரசன், திருச்சபையைச் சார்ந்த மக்கள் சிலரைப் பிடித்துக் கொடுமைப்படுத்தினான். யோவானின் சகோதரரான யாக்கோபை வாளால் கொன்றான். அது யூதருக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி அளித்ததைக் கண்டு அவன் தொடர்ந்து பேதுருவையும் கைது செய்தான். அது புளிப்பற்ற அப்ப விழா நாள்களில் நடந்தது. அவரைப் பிடித்துச் சிறையில் அடைத்துக் காவல் செய்யுமாறு நான்கு படைவீரர் கொண்ட நான்கு குழுக்களிடம் அவன் ஒப்புவித்தான். பாஸ்கா விழாவுக்குப் பின் மக்கள் முன்பாக அவரது வழக்கை விசாரிக்கலாம் என விரும்பினான். பேதுரு இவ்வாறு சிறையில் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த போது திருச்சபை அவருக்காகக் கடவுளிடம் உருக்கமாக வேண்டியது.

ஏரோது அவரது வழக்கைக் கேட்பதற்கு முந்தின இரவில், பேதுரு படைவீரர் இருவருக்கு இடையே இரு சங்கிலிகளால் கட்டப்பட்டுத் தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். காவலர்கள் வாயிலுக்கு முன் சிறையைக் காவல் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

அப்போது ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் அங்கு வந்து நின்றார். அறை ஒளிமயமாகியது. அவர் பேதுருவைத் தட்டியெழுப்பி, “உடனே எழுந்திடும்” என்று கூற, சங்கிலிகள் அவர் கைகளிலிருந்து கீழே விழுந்தன.

வானதூதர் அவரிடம், “இடைக் கச்சையைக் கட்டி மிதியடிகளைப் போட்டுக்கொள்ளும்” என்றார். அவரும் அவ்வாறே செய்தார். தூதர் அவரிடம், “உமது மேலுடையை அணிந்துகொண்டு என்னைப் பின்தொடரும்” என்றார். பேதுரு வானதூதரைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து சென்றார். தூதர் மூலமாக நடந்தவையெல்லாம் உண்மையென்று அவர் உணரவில்லை. ஏதோ காட்சி காண்பதாக அவர் நினைத்துக்கொண்டார். அவர்கள் முதலாம் காவல் நிலையையும், இரண்டாம் காவல் நிலையையும் கடந்து நகருக்குச் செல்லும் இரும்புவாயில் அருகே வந்தபோது அது அவர்களுக்குத் தானாகவே திறந்தது. அவர்கள் வெளியே வந்து ஒரு சந்து வழியாகச் சென்றார்கள். உடனே வானதூதர் அவரை விட்டு அகன்றார்.

பேதுரு தன்னுணர்வு பெற்றபோது, “ஆண்டவர் தம் வானதூதரை அனுப்பி ஏரோதின் கையிலிருந்து என்னை விடுவித்து, யூத மக்கள் எதிர்பார்த்த எதுவும் நிகழாதவாறு என்னைக் காத்தார் என்று நான் உண்மையாகவே அறிந்துகொண்டேன்” என்றார்.

Beloved, I have already been offered as a sacrifice, the time for my departure has come. I fought the good fight, I finished my race, I kept the faith. I have only to receive the crown of righteousness: the Lord, the righteous judge, will give it to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who will have desired with love his glorious Manifestation. .

All have abandoned me. The Lord assisted me. He filled me with strength so that, through me, the proclamation of the gospel might be fulfilled to the end and that all the nations would hear it. A Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (12, 1-11) 

At this time, King Herod Agrippa seized certain members of the Church to harm them. He suppressed Jacques, Jean's brother, by having him beheaded. Seeing that this measure pleased the Jews, he also decided to arrest Peter. It was the days of Unleavened Bread. He had him apprehended, imprisoned, and placed under the guard of four squads of four soldiers; he wanted him to appear before the people after the Passover. While Peter was thus held in the prison, the Church prayed emphatically to God for him.

Herod was going to summon him. Now, Pierre was sleeping that night between two soldiers; he was tied with two chains and guards were on duty outside the prison door. And behold, the angel of the Lord came in, and a light shone in the cell. He woke Pierre up by hitting him on the side and said, "Get up quickly." The chains fell from his hands.
