மார்ச் 24  : நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

மகன் உங்களுக்கு விடுதலை அளித்தால், நீங்கள் உண்மையிலேயே விடுதலை பெற்றவர்கள்.

யோவான் எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 8: 31-42

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம்மை நம்பிய யூதர்களை நோக்கி, “என் வார்த்தைகளை நீங்கள் தொடர்ந்து கடைப்பிடித்து வந்தால் உண்மையில் என் சீடர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள்; உண்மையை அறிந்தவர்களாயும் இருப்பீர்கள். உண்மை உங்களுக்கு விடுதலை அளிக்கும்” என்றார். யூதர்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து, “ ‘உங்களுக்கு விடுதலை கிடைக்கும்’ என நீர் எப்படிச் சொல்லலாம்? நாங்கள் யாருக்கும் ஒருபோதும் அடிமைகளாய் இருந்ததில்லை. நாங்கள் ஆபிரகாமின் வழிமரபினர் ஆயிற்றே!” என்றார்கள். அதற்கு இயேசு, “பாவம் செய்யும் எவரும் பாவத்திற்கு அடிமை என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன். வீட்டில் அடிமைக்கு நிலையான இடம் இல்லை; மகனுக்கு அங்கு என்றென்றும் இடம் உண்டு. மகன் உங்களுக்கு விடுதலை அளித்தால் நீங்கள் உண்மையிலே விடுதலை பெற்றவர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள். நீங்கள் ஆபிரகாமின் வழிமரபினர் என்பது எனக்குத் தெரியும். ஆனால் என் வார்த்தை உங்கள் உள்ளத்தில் இடம் பெறாததால் நீங்கள் என்னைக் கொல்ல முயலுகிறீர்கள். நான் என் தந்தையிடம் கண்டதைச் சொல்கிறேன். நீங்கள் உங்கள் தந்தையிடமிருந்து கேட்டதைச் செய்கிறீர்கள்” என்றார்.

அவர்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து, “ஆபிரகாமே எங்கள் தந்தை” என்றார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் ஆபிரகாமின் மக்கள் என்றால் அவரைப் போலச் செயல்படுவீர்கள். ஆனால் கடவுளிடமிருந்து கேட்டறிந்த உண்மையை உங்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைத்த என்னை நீங்கள் கொல்ல முயலுகிறீர்கள். ஆபிரகாம் இப்படிச் செய்யவில்லையே! நீங்கள் உங்கள் தந்தையைப்போலச் செயல்படுகிறீர்கள்” என்றார். அவர்கள், “நாங்கள் பரத்தைமையால் பிறந்தவர்கள் அல்ல; எங்களுக்கு ஒரே தந்தை உண்டு; கடவுளே அவர்” என்றார்கள்.

இயேசு அவர்களிடம் கூறியது: “கடவுள் உங்கள் தந்தையெனில் நீங்கள் என்மேல் அன்பு கொள்வீர்கள். நான் கடவுளிடமிருந்தே இங்கு வந்துள்ளேன். நானாக வரவில்லை; அவரே என்னை அனுப்பினார்.”

அந்நாள்களில்

நெபுகத்னேசர் அவர்களை நோக்கி, “சாத்ராக்கு! மேசாக்கு! ஆபேத்நெகோ! நீங்கள் மூவரும் என் தெய்வங்களை வணங்கவில்லை என்பதும், நான் நிறுவிய பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்து தொழவில்லை என்பதும் உண்மைதானா? இப்பொழுதாவது எக்காளம், நாதசுரம், யாழ், கின்னரம், வீணை, பைக்குழல் முதலிய எல்லா வகை இசைக் கருவிகளும் ஒலிக்கக் கேட்டவுடன், நீங்கள் தாழவீழ்ந்து நான் செய்துவைத்துள்ள சிலையைப் பணிந்து தொழத் தயாராய் இருக்கிறீர்களா? தொழாவிட்டால் அந்த நொடியிலேயே எரிகிற தீச்சூளையில் தூக்கிப் போடப்படுவீர்கள். உங்களை என் கைகளிலிருந்து தப்புவிக்கக்கூடிய தெய்வம் ஒன்று உண்டோ?” என்றான்.

சாத்ராக்கு, மேசாக்கு, ஆபேத்நெகோ என்பவர்கள் நெபுகத்னேசர் அரசனை நோக்கிப் பதில்மொழியாக, “இதைக் குறித்து நாங்கள் உமக்கு மறுமொழி கூறத் தேவையில்லை. அப்படியே எது நிகழ்ந்தாலும், நாங்கள் வழிபடுகின்ற எங்கள் கடவுள், எரிகின்ற தீச்சூளையினின்று எங்களை மீட்க வல்லவர். அவரே எங்களை உம் கையினின்றும் விடுவிப்பார். அப்படியே அவருக்கு மனமில்லாமல் போனாலும், அரசரே! நாங்கள் உம்முடைய தெய்வங்களை வழிபடமாட்டோம்; நீர் நிறுவிய பொற்சிலையையும் நாங்கள் தொழப்போவதில்லை. இது உமக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கட்டும்” என்றார்கள்.

இதைக் கேட்ட நெபுகத்னேசர் அரசன் சாத்ராக்கு, மேசாக்கு, ஆபேத்நெகோ ஆகியோர்மீது வெகுண்டெழ, அவனது முகம் சினத்தால் சிவந்தது. வழக்கத்தைவிட ஏழு மடங்கு மிகுதியாகத் தீச்சூளையைச் சூடாக்கும்படி அரசன் கட்டளையிட்டான். பின்னர் சாத்ராக்கு, மேசாக்கு, ஆபேத்நெகோ ஆகியோரைக் கட்டி, எரியும் தீச்சூளைக்குள் தூக்கிப் போடுமாறு தன் படைவீரர்களுள் வலியவர் சிலருக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

அப்பொழுது நெபுகத்னேசர் அரசன் வியப்புற்று விரைந்தெழுந்து தன் அமைச்சரை நோக்கி, “மூன்று பேரைத்தானே கட்டி நெருப்பினுள் எறிந்தோம்!” என்றான். “ஆம் அரசரே” என்று அவர்கள் விடையளித்தனர். அதற்கு அவன், “கட்டவிழ்க்கப்பட்டவர்களாய் நெருப்பின் நடுவில் நான்கு பேர் உலவுகிறதை நான் காண்கிறேன்! அவர்களுக்கோ ஒரு தீங்கும் நேரவில்லையே! மேலும் நான்காவது ஆள் தெய்வ மகன் ஒருவன் போல் தோன்றுகிறானே!” என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது நெபுகத்னேசர், “சாத்ராக்கு, மேசாக்கு, ஆபேத்நெகோ ஆகியோரின் கடவுள் புகழப்படுவாராக! தங்கள் கடவுளைத் தவிர வேறெந்த தெய்வத்தையும் பணிந்து தொழ மறுத்து, அரசனது கட்டளையையும் பொருட்படுத்தாமல், அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்துத் தங்கள் உடலைக் கையளித்த அவருடைய ஊழியர்களை அவர் தம் தூதரை அனுப்பி மீட்டருளினார்” என்றான்.

At that time, Jesus said to those of the Jews who believed in him: “If you will keep my word, you are truly my disciples; then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. "They replied," We are the descendants of Abraham, and we have never been slaves to anyone. How can you say, “You will become free”? Jesus answered them, "Amen, amen, I say to you: he who commits sin is a slave to sin." The slave does not stay in the house forever; the son remains there forever. “God sent his angel and delivered his servants! " 

Reading from the book of the prophet Daniel (3, 14-20.91-92.95) 

In those days King Nebuchadnezzar spoke thus: “Is it true, Sidrac, Misac and Abdénago, that you refuse to serve my gods and to worship the golden statue which I have erected? Are you ready now to bow down to worship the statue I made, when you hear the sound of the horn, the flute, the zither, the harp, the lyre, the bagpipe and all? the kinds of instruments? If you do not worship this statue, you will immediately be cast into the fiery furnace; and who is the god who will deliver you from my hand? "Sidrac, Misac and Abdénago said to king Nebuchadnezzar:" It is not for us to answer you. If our God whom we serve can deliver us, he will deliver us from the fiery furnace and from your hand, O king. And even if he doesn't, be sure, O king: we will not serve your gods, we will not worship the golden statue you set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury against Sidrac, Misac and Abdenago, and his face changed. He ordered the furnace to be heated seven times more than usual. Then he ordered the most vigorous of his soldiers to tie up Sidrac, Misac and Abdénago and throw them into the blazing furnace.

King Nebuchadnezzar heard them sing. Stunned, he stood up hastily and said to his advisers: "Did we throw three men tied up in the middle of the fire?" They replied, "Certainly, O king." He continued: "Well, I see four men walking freely in the midst of the fire, they are perfectly unharmed, and the fourth looks like a divine being. "And Nebuchadnezzar cried out:" Blessed be the God of Sidrac, Misac and Abdénago, who sent his angel and delivered his servants! They put their trust in him, and they disobeyed the king's command; they surrendered their bodies rather than serving and worshiping a god other than their God. "
