_The vote became man._

*🕯️A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John 1:1-18*

In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God.

He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things came into being, not one thing came into being except through him.

What has come into being in him was life, life that was the light of men;

and light shines in darkness, and darkness could not overpower it.

A man came, sent by God. His name was John.

He came as a witness, to bear witness to the light, so that everyone might believe through him.

He was not the light, he was to bear witness to the light.

The Word was the real light that gives light to everyone; he was coming into the world.

He was in the world that had come into being through him, and the world did not recognise him.

He came to his own and his own people did not accept him.

But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believed in his name

who were born not from human stock or human desire or human will but from God himself.

The Word became flesh, he lived among us, and we saw his glory, the glory that he has from the Father as only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John witnesses to him. He proclaims: 'This is the one of whom I said: He who comes after me has passed ahead of me because he existed before me.'

Indeed, from his fullness we have, all of us, received -- one gift replacing another,

for the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth have come through Jesus Christ.

No one has ever seen God; it is the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.

at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming, coming to judge the earth; he will judge the world with saving justice, and the nations with constancy.

Children, this is the final hour; you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and now many Antichrists have already come; from this we know that it is the final hour.

They have gone from among us, but they never really belonged to us; if they had belonged to us, they would have stayed with us. But this was to prove that not one of them belonged to us.

But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and have all received knowledge.

I have written to you not because you are ignorant of the truth, but because you are well aware of it, and because no lie can come from the truth.

*🕯️யோவான் எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 1: 1-18*

தொடக்கத்தில் வாக்கு இருந்தது; அவ்வாக்கு கடவுளோடு இருந்தது; அவ்வாக்கு கடவுளாயும் இருந்தது. வாக்கு என்னும் அவரே தொடக்கத்தில் கடவுளோடு இருந்தார். அனைத்தும் அவரால் உண்டாயின; உண்டானது எதுவும் அவரால் அன்றி உண்டாகவில்லை. அவரிடம் வாழ்வு இருந்தது; அவ்வாழ்வு மனிதருக்கு ஒளியாய் இருந்தது. அந்த ஒளி இருளில் ஒளிர்ந்தது; இருள் அதன்மேல் வெற்றி கொள்ளவில்லை. 

கடவுள் அனுப்பிய ஒருவர் இருந்தார்; அவர் பெயர் யோவான். அவர் சான்று பகருமாறு வந்தார். அனைவரும் தம் வழியாக நம்புமாறு அவர் ஒளியைக் குறித்துச் சான்று பகர்ந்தார். அவர் அந்த ஒளி அல்ல; மாறாக, ஒளியைக் குறித்துச் சான்று பகர வந்தவர். அனைத்து மனிதரையும் ஒளிர்விக்கும் உண்மையான ஒளி உலகிற்கு வந்துகொண்டிருந்தது. ஒளியான அவர் உலகில் இருந்தார். உலகு அவரால்தான் உண்டானது. 

ஆனால் உலகு அவரை அறிந்துகொள்ள வில்லை. அவர் தமக்குரியவர்களிடம் வந்தார். அவருக்கு உரியவர்கள் அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை. அவரிடம் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அவர் கடவுளின் பிள்ளைகள் ஆகும் உரிமையை அளித்தார். அவர்கள் இரத்தத்தினாலோ உடல் இச்சையினாலோ ஆண்மகன் விருப்பத்தினாலோ பிறந்தவர்கள் அல்ல; மாறாகக் கடவுளால் பிறந்தவர்கள். வாக்கு மனிதர் ஆனார்; நம்மிடையே குடிகொண்டார். அவரது மாட்சியை நாங்கள் கண்டோம். அருளும் உண்மையும் நிறைந்து விளங்கிய அவர் தந்தையின் ஒரே மகன் என்னும் நிலையில் இம்மாட்சியைப் பெற்றிருந்தார். 

யோவான் அவரைக் குறித்து, எனக்குப்பின் வரும் இவர் என்னைவிட முன்னிடம் பெற்றவர்; ஏனெனில், எனக்கு முன்பே இருந்தார் என்று நான் இவரைப்பற்றியே சொன்னேன்'' என உரத்த குரலில் சான்று பகர்ந்தார். இவரது நிறைவிலிருந்து நாம் யாவரும் நிறைவாக அருள் பெற்றுள்ளோம். திருச்சட்டம் மோசே வழியாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; அருளும் உண்மையும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வழியாய் வெளிப்பட்டன. கடவுளை யாரும் என்றுமே கண்டதில்லை; தந்தையின் நெஞ்சத்திற்கு நெருக்கமானவரும் கடவுள்தன்மை கொண்டவருமான ஒரே மகனே அவரை வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார்.

1 ஆண்டவருக்குப் புதியதொரு பாடல் பாடுங்கள்;

உலகெங்கும் வாழ்வோரே, ஆண்டவரைப் போற்றிப் பாடுங்கள்;

2 ஆண்டவரைப் போற்றிப் பாடுங்கள்; அவர் பெயரை வாழ்த்துங்கள்;

அவர் தரும் மீட்பை நாள்தோறும் அறிவியுங்கள். -பல்லவி 

11 விண்ணுலகம் மகிழ்வதாக; மண்ணுலகம் களிகூர்வதாக;

கடலும் அதில் நிறைந்துள்ளனவும் முழங்கட்டும்.

12 வயல்வெளியும் அதில் உள்ள அனைத்தும் களிகூரட்டும்;

13 ஏனெனில் அவர் வருகின்றார்;

மண்ணுலகிற்கு நீதித் தீர்ப்பு வழங்க வருகின்றார்;

நிலவுலகை நீதியுடனும் மக்களினங்களை உண்மையுடனும் அவர் தீர்ப்பிடுவார். -பல்லவி

அல்லேலூயா, அல்லேலூயா! வாக்கு மனிதர் ஆனார்; நம்மிடையே குடிகொண்டார். அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அவர் கடவுளின் பிள்ளைகளாகும் உரிமையை அளித்தார். அல்லேலூயா.

குழந்தைகளே, இதுவே இறுதிக் காலம். எதிர்க் கிறிஸ்து வருவதாக நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்களே! இப்போது எதிர்க் கிறிஸ்துகள் பலர் தோன்றியுள்ளனர். ஆகவே இறுதிக் காலம் இதுவே என அறிகிறோம். இவர்கள் நம்மிடமிருந்து பிரிந்தவர்கள்; உண்மையில் இவர்கள் நம்மைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களே அல்ல; நம்மைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாக இருந்திருந்தால் நம்மோடு சேர்ந்தே இருந்திருப்பார்கள். ஆகையால் இவர்கள் நம்மைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் அல்ல என்பது வெள்ளிடைமலை. நீங்கள் தூயவரால் அருள்பொழிவு பெற்றிருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆகையால் நீங்கள் அறிவு பெற்றுள்ளீர்கள். நீங்கள் உண்மையை அறியவில்லை என்பதால் நான் உங்களுக்கு எழுதவில்லை; மாறாக, அதை அறிந்துள்ளீர்கள் என்பதாலும் பொய் எதுவும் உண்மையிலிருந்து வராது என்பதாலுமே நான் எழுதியுள்ளேன்.
