நீ செய்வது அனைத்தையும் பணிவோடு செய்.

சீராக்கின் ஞான நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 17-18, 20, 28-29

குழந்தாய், நீ செய்வது அனைத்தையும் பணிவோடு செய்; அவ்வாறாயின், கடவுளுக்கு உகந்தோர் உனக்கு அன்பு காட்டுவர். நீ பெரியவனாய் இருக்குமளவுக்குப் பணிந்து நட. அப்போது ஆண்டவர் முன்னிலையில் உனக்குப் பரிவு கிட்டும். ஆண்டவரின் ஆற்றல் பெரிது; ஆயினும், தாழ்ந்தோரால் அவர் மாட்சி பெறுகின்றார்.

இறுமாப்புக் கொண்டோரின் நோய்க்கு மருந்து இல்லை; ஏனெனில் தீமை அவர்களுள் வேரூன்றிவிட்டது. நுண்ணறிவாளர் உவமைகளைப் புரிந்து கொள்வர்; ஞானிகள் கேட்டறியும் ஆவல் மிக்கவர்கள்.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

 நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

சிறிய பொறுப்புகளில் நம்பிக்கைக்கு உரியவராய் இருந்தீர். எனவே உம் தலைவனாகிய என் மகிழ்ச்சியில் நீரும் வந்து பங்கு கொள்ளும்.

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தம் சீடருக்குக் கூறிய உவமை: “விண்ணரசைப் பின்வரும் நிகழ்ச்சி வாயிலாகவும் விளக்கலாம்; நெடும் பயணம் செல்லவிருந்த ஒருவர் தம் பணியாளர்களை அழைத்து அவர்களிடம் தம் உடைமைகளை ஒப்படைத்தார். அவரவர் திறமைக்கு ஏற்ப ஒருவருக்கு ஐந்து தாலந்தும் வேறொருவருக்கு இரண்டு தாலந்தும் இன்னொருவருக்கு ஒரு தாலந்தும் கொடுத்துவிட்டு நெடும் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டார். ஐந்து தாலந்தைப் பெற்றவர் போய் அவற்றைக் கொண்டு வாணிகம் செய்து வேறு ஐந்து தாலந்து ஈட்டினார். அவ்வாறே இரண்டு தாலந்து பெற்றவர் மேலும் இரண்டு தாலந்து ஈட்டினார். ஒரு தாலந்து பெற்றவரோ போய் நிலத்தைத் தோண்டித் தம் தலைவரின் பணத்தைப் புதைத்து வைத்தார்.

நெடுங்காலத்திற்குப் பின் அந்தப் பணியாளர்களின் தலைவர் வந்து அவர்களிடம் கணக்குக் கேட்டார்.

ஐந்து தாலந்து பெற்றவர் அவரை அணுகி, வேறு ஐந்து தாலந்தைக் கொண்டு வந்து, ‘ஐயா, ஐந்து தாலந்தை என்னிடம் ஒப்படைத்தீர்; இதோ பாரும், இன்னும் ஐந்து தாலந்தை ஈட்டியுள்ளேன்’ என்றார். அதற்கு அவருடைய தலைவர் அவரிடம், ‘நன்று, நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய நல்ல பணியாளரே, சிறிய பொறுப்புகளில் நம்பிக்கைக்கு உரியவராய் இருந்தீர். எனவே பெரிய பொறுப்புகளில் உம்மை அமர்த்துவேன். உம் தலைவனாகிய என் மகிழ்ச்சியில் நீரும் வந்து பங்கு கொள்ளும்’ என்றார்.

இரண்டு தாலந்து பெற்றவரும் அவரை அணுகி, ‘ஐயா, நீர் என்னிடம் இரண்டு தாலந்து ஒப்படைத்தீர். இதோ பாரும், வேறு இரண்டு தாலந்து ஈட்டியுள்ளேன்’ என்றார். அவருடைய தலைவர் அவரிடம், ‘நன்று. நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய நல்ல பணியாளரே, சிறிய பொறுப்புகளில் நம்பிக்கைக்கு உரியவராய் இருந்தீர். எனவே பெரிய பொறுப்புகளில் உம்மை அமர்த்துவேன். உம் தலைவனாகிய என் மகிழ்ச்சியில் நீரும் வந்து பங்கு கொள்ளும்’ என்றார்.

ஒரு தாலந்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டவரும் அவரை அணுகி, ‘ஐயா, நீர் கடின உள்ளத்தினர்; நீர் விதைக்காத இடத்திலும் போய் அறுவடை செய்பவர்; நீர் தூவாத இடத்திலும் விளைச்சலைச் சேகரிப்பவர் என்பதை அறிவேன். உமக்கு அஞ்சியதால் நான் போய் உம்முடைய தாலந்தை நிலத்தில் புதைத்து வைத்தேன். இதோ, பாரும், உம்முடையது’ என்றார்.

அதற்கு அவருடைய தலைவர், ‘சோம்பேறியே! பொல்லாத பணியாளனே, நான் விதைக்காத இடத்திலும் போய் அறுவடை செய்பவன். நான் தூவாத இடத்திலும் போய்ச் சேகரிப்பவன் என்பது உனக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்தது அல்லவா? அப்படியானால் என் பணத்தை நீ வட்டிக் கடையில் கொடுத்து வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும். நான் வரும்போது எனக்கு வரவேண்டியதை வட்டியோடு திரும்பப் பெற்றிருப்பேன்’ என்று கூறினார். ‘எனவே அந்தத் தாலந்தை அவனிடமிருந்து எடுத்துப் பத்துத் தாலந்து உடையவரிடம் கொடுங்கள். ஏனெனில் உள்ளவர் எவருக்கும் கொடுக்கப்படும். அவர்கள் நிறைவாகப் பெறுவர். இல்லாதோரிடமிருந்து அவரிடமுள்ளதும் எடுக்கப்படும். பயனற்ற இந்தப் பணியாளைப் புறம்பேயுள்ள இருளில் தள்ளுங்கள். அங்கே அழுகையும் அங்கலாய்ப்பும் இருக்கும்’ என்று அவர் கூறினார்.”

Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them; and he made five talents more. So also, he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money. Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
