வெள்ளிக் காசுக்கு ஏழைகளையும் இரு காலணிக்கு வறியோரையும் வாங்கலாமா?

இறைவாக்கினர் ஆமோஸ் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 8: 4-7

“வறியோரை நசுக்கி, நாட்டில் உள்ள ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோரை அழிக்கின்றவர்களே, இதைக் கேளுங்கள்: ‘நாம் தானியங்களை விற்பதற்கு அமாவாசை எப்பொழுது முடியும்? கோதுமையை நல்ல விலைக்கு விற்பதற்கு ஓய்வு நாள் எப்பொழுது முடிவுறும்? மரக்காலைச் சிறியதாக்கி, எடைக்கல்லைக் கனமாக்கி, கள்ளத் தராசினால் மோசடி செய்யலாம்; வெள்ளிக் காசுக்கு ஏழைகளையும் இரு காலணிக்கு வறியோரையும் வாங்கலாம்; கோதுமைப் பதர்களையும் விற்கலாம்’ என்று நீங்கள் திட்டமிடுகிறீர்கள் அல்லவா?"

ஆண்டவர் யாக்கோபின் பெருமை மீது ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறுகின்றார்: “அவர்களுடைய இந்தச் செயல்களுள் ஒன்றையேனும் நான் ஒருபோதும் மறக்கமாட்டேன்.”

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke 16 :1-13 

At that time: Jesus said to the disciples, “There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his possessions. And he called him and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’ And the manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. I have decided what to do, so that when I am removed from management, people may receive me into their houses.’ So, summoning his master’s debtors one by one, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ He said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’ Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light. And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings. One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful with the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful with that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? A Reading from the First Letter of St.Paul to Timothy 2: 1-8 

Beloved: First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarrelling.

Hear this, you who trample on the needy and bring the poor of the land to an end, saying, “When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great and deal deceitfully with false balances, that we may buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals and sell the chaff of the wheat?” The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: “Surely I will never forget any of their deeds.

அக்காலத்தில்

பெரும் திரளான மக்கள் எல்லா ஊர்களிலிருந்தும் இயேசுவிடம் கூடி வந்தபோது அவர் உவமை வாயிலாகக் கூறியது: “விதைப்பவர் ஒருவர் விதைக்கச் சென்றார். அவர் விதைத்தபோது சில விதைகள் வழியோரம் விழுந்து மிதிபட்டன; வானத்துப் பறவைகள் வந்து அவற்றை விழுங்கி விட்டன. வேறு சில விதைகள் பாறைமீது விழுந்தன; அவை முளைத்தபின் ஈரமில்லாததால் கருகிப் போயின. மற்றும் சில விதைகள் முட்செடிகளின் நடுவே விழுந்தன; கூடவே வளர்ந்த முட்செடிகள் அவற்றை நெருக்கி விட்டன. இன்னும் சில விதைகளோ நல்ல நிலத்தில் விழுந்தன. அவை வளர்ந்து நூறு மடங்கு விளைச்சலைக் கொடுத்தன.” இவ்வாறு சொன்னபின், “கேட்கச் செவியுள்ளோர் கேட்கட்டும்” என்று உரக்கக் கூறினார்.

இந்த உவமையின் பொருள் என்ன என்று அவருடைய சீடர் அவரிடம் கேட்டனர். அதற்கு இயேசு கூறியது: “இறையாட்சியின் மறைபொருளை அறிய உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து வைத்திருக்கிறது. மற்றவர்களுக்கு எல்லாம் உவமைகள் வாயிலாகவே கூறப்படுகின்றன. எனவே ‘அவர்கள் கண்டும் காண்பதில்லை; கேட்டும் புரிந்து கொள்வதில்லை.’

இந்த உவமையின் பொருள் இதுவே: விதை, இறைவார்த்தை. வழியோரம் விழுந்த விதைகள், அவ்வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்பவர்களுள் சிலரைக் குறிக்கும். அவர்கள் நம்பி மீட்புப் பெறாதவாறு அலகை வந்து அவ்வார்த்தையை அவர்கள் உள்ளத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துவிடுகிறது. பாறைமீது விழுந்த விதைகள், அவ்வார்த்தையைக் கேட்கும்போது அதை மகிழ்ச்சியோடு ஏற்றுக் கொள்பவர்களைக் குறிக்கும். ஆனால் அவர்கள் வேரற்றவர்கள்; சிறிது காலமே அவ்வார்த்தையை நம்புவார்கள்: சோதனைக் காலத்தில் நம்பிக்கையை விட்டுவிடுவார்கள். முட்செடிகளுக்குள் விழுந்த விதைகள், வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டும் கவலை, செல்வம், வாழ்வில் வரும் இன்பங்கள் போன்றவற்றால் நெருக்கப்பட்டு முதிர்ச்சி அடையாதிருப்பவர்களைக் குறிக்கும்.

நல்ல நிலத்தில் விழுந்த விதைகளோ, சீரிய நல் உள்ளத்தோடு வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு, அதைக் காத்து, மன உறுதியுடன் பலன் தருகிறவர்களைக் குறிக்கும்.”
