Yes, Father, for that is what it has pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.' In the day of the Lord

A sprig will sprout from the base of Isai; From its roots a branch grows and bears fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him; Wisdom, Consciousness, Wisdom, Energy, Intuition, Fear of the Lord - these are the things that the Spirit bestows on him. He too would have enjoyed walking in the fear of the Lord.

He gives justice only by what the eye sees; He judges only by what love hears; He will honestly give justice to the poor; Will investigate the country’s simplest case with neutrality; He will strike the wicked with the rod of the word; The breath that rises from the lips will destroy Theora. Honesty is halfway to him; The truth intercepted him.

On that day, the wolf will stay with the lamb; The leopard will lie down with the cub. The calf, the lion, and the fat bull live together; The green baby will carry them. The cow and the bear graze together; Their cubs lie down together; The lion eats straw like a calf; The milk-drinking baby virion will play in the snake's hoop; The weaned child drops his hand into the tortoise's hoop. There is no one who will do evil in all my affairs; There is no one to harm; For as the sea is full of water, so the Lord of the earth will be full of knowledge of me.

On that day, other nations will seek the root of Isaiah, the symbol of the people; The place where he rests will be majestic.

_for all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved._

*A reading from the Book of Romans 10:9-18*

that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. It is by believing with the heart that you are justified, and by making the declaration with your lips that you are saved. 

When scripture says: No one who relies on this will be brought to disgrace, it makes no distinction between Jew and Greek: the same Lord is the Lord of all, and his generosity is offered to all who appeal to him, for all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. 

How then are they to call on him if they have not come to believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard of him? And how will they hear of him unless there is a preacher for them? And how will there be preachers if they are not sent? As scripture says: How beautiful are the feet of the messenger of good news. 

But in fact they have not all responded to the good news. As Isaiah says: Lord, who has given credence to what they have heard from us? But it is in that way faith comes, from hearing, and that means hearing the word of Christ. Well then, I say, is it possible that they have not heard? Indeed they have: in the entire earth their voice stands out, their message reaches the whole world.

அதுபோலவே நீங்களும் விழிப்பாயிருங்கள். ஏனெனில் வீட்டுத் தலைவர் மாலையிலோ, நள்ளிரவிலோ, சேவல் கூவும் வேளையிலோ, காலையிலோ எப்போது வருவார் என உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது. அவர் திடீரென்று வந்து நீங்கள் தூங்குவதைக் காணக்கூடாது. நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவதை எல்லாருக்குமே சொல்கிறேன்: விழிப்பாயிருங்கள்.”

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் வழியாக நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட இறையருளை முன்னிட்டு உங்களை நினைத்து என் கடவுளுக்கு என்றும் நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன். ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுடன் இணைக்கப்பெற்றுச் சொல்வன்மையும் நிறையறிவும் பெற்று, எல்லா வகையிலும் செல்வர்களானீர்கள். மேலும் கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றிய சான்று உங்களால் உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படுவதற்காகக் காத்திருக்கும் உங்களுக்கு அருள்கொடை எதிலும் குறையே இல்லை. நம் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படும் நாளில் நீங்கள் குறைச் சொல்லுக்கு ஆளாகாதிருக்க அவர் உங்களை இறுதிவரை உறுதிப்படுத்துவார். கடவுள் நம்பிக்கைக்குரியவர்; தம் மகனும் நம் ஆண்டவருமாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் நட்புறவில் பங்குபெற உங்களை அவர் அழைத்துள்ளார்.

ஆண்டவரே, நீர்தான் எங்கள் தந்தை; பண்டைய நாளிலிருந்து ‘எம் மீட்பர்’ என்பதே உம் பெயராம். ஆண்டவரே, உம் வழிகளிலிருந்து எங்களைப் பிறழச் செய்வது ஏன்? உமக்கு அஞ்சி நடவாதவாறு எம் நெஞ்சங்களைக் கடினப்படுத்தியது ஏன்? உம் ஊழியர்களை முன்னிட்டும், உம் உரிமைச் சொத்தாகிய குலங்களை முன்னிட்டும் திரும்பி வாரும். நீர் வானங்களைப் பிளந்து இறங்கி வரமாட்டீரா? மலைகள் உம் திருமுன் நடுநடுங்குமே!

The curse of destruction will be abolished. Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key of the Abyss in his hand and an enormous chain.

He overpowered the dragon, that primeval serpent which is the devil and Satan, and chained him up for a thousand years. He hurled him into the Abyss and shut the entrance and sealed it over him, to make sure he would not lead the nations astray again until the thousand years had passed. At the end of that time he must be released, but only for a short while. Then I saw thrones, where they took their seats, and on them was conferred the power to give judgement. I saw the souls of all who had been beheaded for having witnessed for Jesus and for having preached God's word, and those who refused to worship the beast or his statue and would not accept the brandmark on their foreheads or hands; they came to life, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Then I saw a great white throne and the One who was sitting on it. In his presence, earth and sky vanished, leaving no trace. I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing in front of his throne while the books lay open. புதிய எருசலேம் என்னும் திருநகர் கடவுளிடமிருந்து விண்ணகத்தை விட்டு இறங்கிவரக் கண்டேன்.

திருத்தூதர் யோவான் எழுதிய திருவெளிப்பாட்டிலிருந்து வாசகம் 20: 1-4, 11- 21: 2

வானதூதர் ஒருவர் விண்ணகத்திலிருந்து இறங்கிவரக் கண்டேன். படுகுழியின் திறவுகோலும் முரட்டுச் சங்கிலியும் அவர் கையில் இருந்தன. அலகை என்றும் சாத்தான் என்றும் அழைக்கப்பட்ட அரக்கப் பாம்பை அவர் பிடித்தார். அதுவே தொடக்கத்தில் இருந்த பாம்பு. வானதூதர் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு அதைக் கட்டிவைத்தார்; பின்னர் அதைப் படுகுழியில் தள்ளி, குழியை அடைத்து, முத்திரையிட்டார்; இவ்வாறு அந்த ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் முடியும்வரை நாடுகளை அது ஏமாற்றாதவாறு செய்தார். இதன்பின் சிறிது காலத்துக்கு அது கட்டவிழ்த்து விடப்பட வேண்டும்.

பின்பு நான் அரியணைகளைக் கண்டேன். தீர்ப்பளிக்கும் அதிகாரம் பெற்றிருந்த சிலர் அவற்றின்மீது வீற்றிருந்தனர். கடவுளின் வாக்கை அறிவித்து இயேசுவுக்குச் சான்று பகர்ந்ததற்காகத் தலை கொடுத்தவர்களின் ஆன்மாக்களையும் கண்டேன். அவர்கள் அந்த விலங்கையோ அதன் சிலையையோ வணங்கியதில்லை; அதற்குரிய குறியைத் தங்கள் நெற்றியிலோ கையிலோ இட்டுக்கொண்டதும் இல்லை. அவர்கள் மீண்டும் உயிர் பெற்று, ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் கிறிஸ்துவோடு ஆட்சி புரிந்தார்கள்.

பின்பு பெரிய, வெண்மையான ஓர் அரியணையைக் கண்டேன். அதில் ஒருவர் வீற்றிருந்தார். அவர் முன்னிலையில் மண்ணகமும் விண்ணகமும் இருந்த இடம் தெரியாமல் மறைந்துவிட்டன. இறந்தோருள் சிறியோர், பெரியோர் ஆகிய அனைவரும் அந்த அரியணைமுன் நிற்கக் கண்டேன். அப்பொழுது நூல்கள் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டன. வேறொரு நூலும் திறந்துவைக்கப்பட்டது. அது வாழ்வின் நூல். இறந்தோரின் செயல்கள் அந்நூல்களில் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்தன. அவற்றுக்கு ஏற்ப அவர்களுக்குத் தீர்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டது. பின்னர் கடல் தன்னகத்தே இருந்த இறந்தோரை வெளியேற்றியது. அதுபோலச் சாவும், பாதாளமும் தம்மகத்தே இருந்த இறந்தோரை வெளியேற்றின. அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அவரவர் செயல்களுக்கு ஏற்பத் தீர்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டது. சாவும் பாதாளமும் நெருப்பு ஏரியில் எறியப்பட்டன. இந்த நெருப்பு ஏரியே இரண்டாம் சாவு.

வாழ்வின் நூலில் பெயர் எழுதப்படாதோர் நெருப்பு ஏரியில் எறியப்பட்டார்கள். பின்பு நான் புதியதொரு விண்ணகத்தையும் புதியதொரு மண்ணகத்தையும் கண்டேன். முன்பு இருந்த விண்ணகமும் மண்ணகமும் மறைந்துவிட்டன. கடலும் இல்லாமற்போயிற்று.

அப்பொழுது புதிய எருசலேம் என்னும் திருநகர் கடவுளிடமிருந்து விண்ணகத்தை விட்டு இறங்கிவரக் கண்டேன். தன் மணமகனுக்காகத் தன்னையே அணி செய்துகொண்ட மணமகளைப்போல் அது ஆயத்தமாய் இருந்தது.

'For great misery will descend on the land and retribution on this people. சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே, வேறொரு வானதூதர் விண்ணகத்திலிருந்து இறங்கிவரக் கண்டேன். மிகுந்த அதிகாரம் கொண்டிருந்த அவருடைய மாட்சியால் மண்ணகம் ஒளிர்ந்தது. அவர் வல்லமையோடு குரலெழுப்பிப் பின் வருமாறு கத்தினார்: ``வீழ்ந்தது! வீழ்ந்தது! பாபிலோன் மாநகர்! அவள் பேய்களின் உறைவிடமாக, அனைத்துத் தீய ஆவிகளின் பதுங்கிடமாக, தூய்மையற்ற பறவைகள் அனைத்தின் புகலிடமாக, தூய்மையற்ற வெறுக்கத்தக்க விலங்குகளின் இருப்பிடமாக மாறிவிட்டாள்.'' பின்னர் வலிமை வாய்ந்த ஒரு வானதூதர் பெரிய எந்திரக்கல் போன்ற ஒரு கல்லைத் தூக்கிக் கடலில் எறிந்து பின்வருமாறு கூறினார்: ``பாபிலோன் மாநகரே, நீ இவ்வாறு வீசி எறியப்படுவாய்; நீ இருந்த இடம் தெரியாமல் அழிந்துவிடுவாய். யாழை மீட்டுவோர், பாடகர், குழல் ஊதுவோர், எக்காளம் முழக்குவோர் ஆகியோர் எழுப்பும் இசை இனி உன் நடுவே எழவே எழாது; தொழில் செய்யும் கைவினைஞர் அனைவரும் இனி உன் நடுவே குடியிருக்கவே மாட்டார்கள்; எந்திரக்கல் எழுப்பும் ஒலி இனி உன் நடுவே எழவே எழாது. விளக்கின் ஒளி இனி உன்னகத்தே ஒளிரவே ஒளிராது; மணமக்களின் மங்கல ஒலி இனி உன்னகத்தே எழவே எழாது; ஏனெனில் உன் வணிகர்கள் மண்ணுலகில் பெருங்குடி மக்களாய் விளங்கினார்கள்; உன் பில்லிசூனியம் எல்லா நாடுகளையும் ஏமாற்றி விட்டது.'' இதன்பின் பெருந்திரளான மக்களின் கூச்சல் போன்ற ஒலி விண்ணகத்தில் எழக் கேட்டேன். அது பின்வருமாறு முழங்கியது: ``அல்லேலூயா! மீட்பும் மாட்சியும் வல்லமையும் நம் கடவுளுக்கே உரியன. ஏனெனில் அவருடைய தீர்ப்புகள் உண்மை உள்ளவை, நீதியானவை. தன் பரத்தைமையால் மண்ணுலகை அழிவுக்குட்படுத்திய பேர்போன அந்த விலைமகளுக்கு அவர் தீர்ப்பு வழங்கினார்; தம் பணியாளர்களைக் கொன்றதற்காக அவளைப் பழிவாங்கினார்.'' மீண்டும் அந்த மக்கள், ``அல்லேலூயா! அந்த நகர் நடுவிலிருந்து புகை என்றென்றும் மேலே எழுந்த வண்ணம் உள்ளது'' என்றார்கள். அந்த வானதூதர் என்னிடம், `` `ஆட்டுக்குட்டியின் திருமண விருந்துக்கு அழைக்கப் பெற்றோர் பேறுபெற்றோர்' என எழுது'' என்று கூறினார்.

When some were talking about the Temple, remarking how it was adorned with fine stonework and votive offerings, Jesus said, ‘All these things you are staring at now – the time will come when not a single stone will be left on another: everything will be destroyed.’ And they put to him this question: ‘Master,’ they said ‘when will this happen, then, and what sign will there be that this is about to take place?’

  ‘Take care not to be deceived,’ he said ‘because many will come using my name and saying, “I am he” and, “The time is near at hand.” Refuse to join them. And when you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened, for this is something that must happen but the end is not so soon.’ Then he said to them, ‘Nation will fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. The harvest and the vintage of the earth are ripe.

Apocalypse 14:14-19 

In my vision I, John, saw a white cloud and, sitting on it, one like a son of man with a gold crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the sanctuary, and shouted aloud to the one sitting on the cloud, ‘Put your sickle in and reap: harvest time has come and the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ Then the one sitting on the cloud set his sickle to work on the earth, and the earth’s harvest was reaped.

  Another angel, who also carried a sharp sickle, came out of the temple in heaven, and the angel in charge of the fire left the altar and shouted aloud to the one with the sharp sickle, ‘Put your sickle in and cut all the bunches off the vine of the earth; all its grapes are ripe.’ So the angel set his sickle to work on the earth and harvested the whole vintage of the earth and put it into a huge winepress, the winepress of God’s anger.

அக்காலத்தில்

கோவிலைப் பற்றிச் சிலர் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தனர். கவின்மிகு கற்களாலும், நேர்ச்சைப் பொருள்களாலும் கோவில் அழகுபடுத்தப் பட்டிருக்கிறது என்று சிலர் பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். இயேசு, “இவற்றை யெல்லாம் பார்க்கிறீர்கள் அல்லவா? ஒரு காலம் வரும்; அப்போது கற்கள் ஒன்றின்மேல் ஒன்று இராதபடி இவையெல்லாம் இடிக்கப்படும்” என்றார்.

அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம், “போதகரே, நீர் கூறியவை எப்போது நிகழும்? இவை நிகழப்போகும் காலத்திற்கான அறிகுறி என்ன?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

அதற்கு அவர், “நீங்கள் ஏமாறாதவாறு பார்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; ஏனெனில் பலர் என் பெயரை வைத்துக்கொண்டு வந்து, ‘நானே அவர்’ என்றும், ‘காலம் நெருங்கி வந்துவிட்டது’ என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்; அவர்கள் பின்னே போகாதீர்கள். ஆனால் போர் முழக்கங்களையும் குழப்பங்களையும் பற்றிக் கேள்விப்படும்போது திகிலுறாதீர்கள்; ஏனெனில் இவை முதலில் நிகழத்தான் வேண்டும். ஆனால் உடனே முடிவு வராது” என்றார்.

மேலும் அவர் அவர்களிடம் தொடர்ந்து கூறியது: “நாட்டை எதிர்த்து நாடும் அரசை எதிர்த்து அரசும் எழும். பெரிய நிலநடுக்கங்களும் பல இடங்களில் பஞ்சமும் கொள்ளைநோயும் ஏற்படும்; அச்சுறுத்தக்கூடிய பெரிய அடையாளங்களும் வானில் தோன்றும்.”

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

யோவான் என்னும் நான் ஒரு வெண் மேகத்தைக் கண்டேன். அதன்மீது மானிட மகனைப் போன்ற ஒருவர் வீற்றிருந்தார். அவரது தலையில் பொன் முடியும் கையில் கூர்மையான அரிவாளும் காணப்பட்டன.

மற்றொரு வானதூதர் கோவிலிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்து, மேகத்தின்மீது வீற்றிருந்தவரை நோக்கி, “உமது அரிவாளை எடுத்து அறுவடை செய்யும்; ஏனெனில் அறுவடைக் காலம் வந்துவிட்டது; மண்ணுலகம் என்னும் பயிர் முற்றிவிட்டது” என்று உரத்த குரலில் கத்தினார். உடனே மேகத்தின்மீது வீற்றிருந்தவர் மண்ணுலகெங்கும் தமது அரிவாளை வீசி அறுவடை செய்தார்.

மற்றொரு வானதூதரும் விண்ணகத்தில் உள்ள கோவிலிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்தார். அவரிடமும் கூர்மையான அரிவாள் ஒன்று இருந்தது. நெருப்பின் மேல் அதிகாரம் கொண்டிருந்த இன்னுமொரு வானதூதர் பலிபீடத்திலிருந்து வெளியே வந்தார். அவர் கூர்மையான அரிவாளை வைத்திருந்தவரிடம், “உமது கூர்மையான அரிவாளை எடுத்து மண்ணுலகின் திராட்சைக் குலைகளை அறுத்துச் சேர்த்திடும்; ஏனெனில் திராட்சை கனிந்துவிட்டது” என்று உரத்த குரலில் கூறினார். ஆகவே அந்த வானதூதர் மண்ணுலகின் மீது தம் அரிவாளை வீசி மண்ணுலகின் திராட்சைக் குலைகளை அறுத்துச் சேர்த்தார்; கடவுளின் சீற்றம் என்னும் பெரிய பிழிவுக் குழியில் அவற்றைப் போட்டார். நகருக்கு வெளியே இருந்த அந்தப் பிழிவுக் குழியில் அவை மிதிக்கப்பட்டன. அந்தப் பிழிவுக் குழியிலிருந்து இரத்த வெள்ளம் ஏறத்தாழ இரண்டு மீட்டர் ஆழம், முந்நூறு கிலோ மீட்டர் தொலைக்குப் பாய்ந்தோடியது.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.
