உலகெங்கும் சென்று நற்செய்தியைப் பறைசாற்றுங்கள்.

✠ மாற்கு எழுதிய தூய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 16: 9-15

வாரத்தின் முதல்நாள் காலையில் இயேசு உயிர்த்தெழுந்த பின்பு அவர் முதலில் மகதலா மரியாவுக்குத் தோன்றினார். அவரிடமிருந்துதான் அவர் ஏழு பேய்களை ஓட்டியிருந்தார். மரியா புறப்பட்டுச் சென்று இயேசுவோடு இருந்தவர்களிடம் இதை அறிவித்தார். அவர்கள் துயருற்று அழுதுகொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அவர் உயிரோடு இருக்கிறார் என்றும் மரியா அவரைக் கண்டார் என்றும் கேட்டபோது அவர்கள் நம்பவில்லை.

அதன்பிறகு அவர்களுள் இருவர் வயல்வெளிக்கு நடந்து சென்றபோது இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு வேற்று உருவில் தோன்றினார். அவர்கள் சென்று அதனை மற்றவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் சொன்னதையும் சீடர்கள் நம்பவில்லை. இறுதியாகப் பதினொருவரும் பந்தியில் அமர்ந்திருந்தபொழுது அவர்களுக்கு இயேசு தோன்றினார். உயிருடன் எழுப்பப்பட்ட தம்மைக் கண்டவர்கள் சொன்னதையும் நம்பாமல் அவர்கள் கடின உள்ளத்தோடு இருந்தமையால் அவர் அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கையின்மையைக் கண்டித்தார். இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி, “உலகெங்கும் சென்று படைப்பிற்கெல்லாம் நற்செய்தியைப் பறைசாற்றுங்கள்” என்றுரைத்தார்.

நீதிமான்கள் செல்லும் வாயில்களை எனக்குத் திறந்துவிடுங்கள்; அவற்றினுள் நுழைந்து நான் ஆண்டவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவேன்.

ஆண்டவரது வாயில் இதுவே! இது வழியாய் நீதிமான்களே நுழைவர்.

நாங்கள் கண்டதையும் கேட்டதையும் எடுத்துரைக்காமல் இருக்க, எங்களால் முடியாது.

திருத்தூதர் பணிகள் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 4: 13-21

அந்நாள்களில்

பேதுருவும் யோவானும் கல்வியறிவு அற்றவர்கள் என்பதைத் தலைமைச் சங்கத்தார் அறிந்திருந்ததால், அவர்களது துணிவைக் கண்டு வியப் படைந்தனர்; அவர்கள் இயேசுவோடு இருந்தவர்கள் என்பதையும் உணர்ந்துகொண்டனர். நலம் பெற்ற மனிதர் அவர்களோடு நிற்பதைக் கண்டதால் அவர்களால் ஒன்றும் மறுத்துப் பேச முடியவில்லை. எனவே அவர்கள் பேதுருவையும் யோவானையும் சங்கத்தை விட்டு வெளியேறும்படி ஆணையிட்டு, பின்பு தங்களுக்குள் இது குறித்துக் கலந்து பேசினார்கள். “நாம் இந்த மனிதர்களை என்ன செய்யலாம்? ஏனென்றால் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க ஓர் அரும் அடையாளத்தை இவர்கள் செய்துள்ளார்கள்; இது எருசலேமில் வாழும் அனைவருக்கும் தெரியும். இதை நாம் மறுக்க முடியாது. ஆகவே இச்செய்தி மேலும் மக்களிடையே பரவாமலிருக்குமாறு இந்த இயேசுவைக் குறித்து யாரிடமும் பேசக்கூடாதென நாம் இவர்களை அச்சுறுத்தி வைப்போம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அதன் பின்பு தலைமைச் சங்கத்தார் அவர்களை அழைத்து, “இயேசுவைப் பற்றி எதுவும் பேசவோ, கற்பிக்கவோ கூடாது” என்று கண்டிப்பாகக் கட்டளையிட்டனர். அதற்குப் பேதுருவும் யோவானும் மறுமொழியாக, “உங்களுக்குச் செவிசாய்ப்பதா? கடவுளுக்குச் செவிசாய்ப்பதா? இதில் கடவுள் பார்வையில் எது முறையானது என நீங்களே தீர்மானித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; என்ன ஆனாலும் நாங்கள் கண்டதையும் கேட்டதையும் எடுத்துரைக்காமலிருக்க எங்களால் முடியாது” என்றனர். அவர்களைத் தண்டிப்பதற்கு வேறு வழி கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாததாலும், மக்களுக்கு அஞ்சியதாலும் தலைமைச் சங்கத்தார் அவர்களை மீண்டும் அச்சுறுத்தி விடுதலை செய்தனர்.

Go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St.Mark 16:9-15 

When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it. After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them. Afterwards he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Give praise to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever. The Lord is my strength and my song; he was my saviour. There are shouts of joy and salvation in the tents of the just.

We cannot promise to stop proclaiming what we have seen and heard

A Reading from the Acts of Apostles 4:13-21 

In those days: When the rulers and elders and scribes saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition. But when they had commanded them to leave the Council, they conferred with one another, saying, “What shall we do with these men? For that a notable sign has been performed through them is evident to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But in order that it may spread no further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.” So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.” And when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people, for all were praising God for what had happened.
