என் சகோதரர்களிடம் சென்று, அவர்களைக் கலிலேயாவுக்குப் போகுமாறு சொல்லுங்கள். அங்கே அவர்கள் என்னைக் காண்பார்கள்.

அக்காலத்தில்

கல்லறையில் இயேசுவைக் காணவந்த பெண்கள் கல்லறையை விட்டு விரைவாகப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் அச்சமுற்றாலும் அதே வேளையில் பெருமகிழ்ச்சியுற்றவர்களாய், அவருடைய சீடருக்கு அறிவிக்க ஓடினார்கள்.

திடீரென்று இயேசு அவர்களை எதிர்கொண்டு வந்து வாழ்த்தினார். அவர்கள் அவரை அணுகி, அவர் காலடிகளைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, பணிந்து நின்றார்கள். அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “அஞ்சாதீர்கள்! என் சகோதரர்களிடம் சென்று, அவர்களைக் கலிலேயாவுக்குப் போகுமாறு சொல்லுங்கள். அங்கே அவர்கள் என்னைக் காண்பார்கள்” என்றார்.

அவர்கள் போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தபோது காவல் வீரருள் சிலர் நகரத்திற்குள் சென்று, நிகழ்ந்தவை யாவற்றையும் தலைமைக் குருக்களுக்கு அறிவித்தனர். அவர்கள் மூப்பர்களுடன் கூடிக் கலந்து ஆலோசித்து, அப்படைவீரருக்கு மிகுதியாகப் பணம் கொடுத்து, “ ‘நாங்கள் தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது இயேசுவின் சீடர் இரவில் வந்து அவரது உடலைத் திருடிச் சென்றுவிட்டனர்’ எனச் சொல்லுங்கள். ஆளுநர் இதைக் கேள்வியுற்றால் நாங்கள் அவரை நம்பச் செய்து நீங்கள் தொல்லைக்கு உள்ளாகாதபடி பார்த்துக்கொள்வோம்” என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறினார்கள். அவர்களும் பணத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு, தங்களுக்கு அவர்கள் சொல்லிக் கொடுத்தவாறே செய்தார்கள். இந்நாள்வரை இந்த வதந்தி யூதரிடையே பரவியிருக்கிறது.

திருத்தூதர் பணிகள் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 14, 22-33

பெந்தக்கோஸ்து நாளில் பேதுரு பதினொருவருடன் சேர்ந்து, எழுந்து நின்று, உரத்த குரலில் அவர்களிடம் பின்வருமாறு கூறினார்:

‘‘யூத மக்களே, எருசலேமில் வாழும் மக்களே, இதைத் தெரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; எனது சொற்களைக் கவனித்துக் கேளுங்கள்.

இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களே, நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள். கடவுள் நாசரேத்து இயேசுவின் வழியாக உங்கள் நடுவில் வல்ல செயல்களையும் அருஞ்செயல்களையும் அடையாளங்களையும் செய்து, அவரை இன்னாரென்று உறுதியாகக் காண்பித்தார். இது நீங்கள் அறிந்ததே. கடவுள் தாம் வரையறுத்துள்ள திட்டத்தின்படியும், தம் முன்னறிவின்படியும் இந்த இயேசுவை உங்கள் கையில் விட்டுவிட்டார். நீங்கள் திருச்சட்டம் அறியாதார் மூலம் அவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்து கொன்றீர்கள். ஆனால் கடவுள் அவரை மரண வேதனையினின்று விடுவித்து உயிர்த்தெழச் செய்தார். ஏனென்றால் மரணம் அவரைத் தன் பிடியில் வைத்திருக்க முடியவில்லை.

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே, நமது குலமுதல்வராகிய தாவீதைக் குறித்து நான் சொல்வதை மறுக்க மாட்டீர்கள். அவர் காலமாகி அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டார். அவர் கல்லறை இந்நாள்வரை நம்மிடையே இருக்கிறது. அவர் இறைவாக்கினர் என்பதால், தம் வழித்தோன்றல் ஒருவர் அவரது அரியணையில் வீற்றிருப்பார் என்று கடவுள் உறுதியாக ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறியதை அறிந்திருந்தார். அவர் கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலை முன்னறிந்து, ‘அவரைப் பாதாளத்திடம் ஒப்புவிக்கமாட்டீர்; அவரது உடல் படுகுழியைக் காணவிடமாட்டீர்’ என்று கூறியிருக்கிறார். கடவுள் இந்த இயேசுவை உயிர்த்தெழச் செய்தார். இதற்கு நாங்கள் அனைவரும் சாட்சிகள். அவர் கடவுளின் வலப்பக்கத்துக்கு உயர்த்தப்பட்டு, வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட தூய ஆவியைத் தம் தந்தையிடமிருந்து பெற்றுப் பொழிந்தருளினார். நீங்கள் காண்பதும் கேட்பதும் இதுதான்.“

Tell my brothers that they must leave for Galilee: they will see me there.

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St.Matthew 28: 8-15 

At that time: The women departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshipped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers and said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.

A Reading from the Acts of Apostles  2:14, 22-33 

Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. For David says concerning him, “‘I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’ “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.
