Jesus went on from there and reached the shores of the Lake of Galilee, and he went up onto the mountain. He took his seat, and large crowds came to him bringing the lame, the crippled, the blind, the dumb and many others; these they put down at his feet, and he cured them. The crowds were astonished to see the dumb speaking, the cripples whole again, the lame walking and the blind with their sight, and they praised the God of Israel. But Jesus called his disciples to him and said, 'I feel sorry for all these people; they have been with me for three days now and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them off hungry, or they might collapse on the way.' The disciples said to him, 'Where in a deserted place could we get sufficient bread for such a large crowd to have enough to eat?' Jesus said to them, 'How many loaves have you?' They said, 'Seven, and a few small fish.' Then he instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves and the fish, and after giving thanks he broke them and began handing them to the disciples, who gave them to the crowds. They all ate as much as they wanted, and they collected what was left of the scraps, seven baskets full.

On this mountain, he has destroyed the veil which used to veil all peoples, the pall enveloping all nations;

he has destroyed death for ever. Lord Yahweh has wiped away the tears from every cheek; he has taken his people's shame away everywhere on earth, for Yahweh has spoken. And on that day, it will be said, 'Look, this is our God, in him we put our hope that he should save us, this is Yahweh, we put our hope in him. Let us exult and rejoice since he has saved us.' For Yahweh's hand will rest on this mountain, and Moab will be trodden under his feet as straw is trodden into the dung-heap.

அக்காலத்தில் 

இயேசு கலிலேயக் கடற்கரை வழியாகச் சென்று அங்கே ஒரு மலையின் மீது ஏறி அமர்ந்தார். அப்பொழுது பெருந்திரளான மக்கள் அவரிடம் வந்தனர். அவர்கள் தங்களோடு கால் ஊனமுற்றோர், பார்வையற்றோர், உடல் ஊனமுற்றோர், பேச்சற்றோர் மற்றும் பிற நோயாளர் பலரையும் அவர் காலடியில் கொண்டு வந்து சேர்த்தனர். அவர்களை அவர் குணமாக்கினார். பேச்சற்றோர் பேசுவதையும் உடல் ஊனமுற்றோர் நலமடைவதையும் பார்வையற்றோர் பார்க்கிறதையும் கண்டு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தினர் வியந்து இஸ்ரயேலின் கடவுளைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்ந்தனர். 

இயேசு தம் சீடரை வரவழைத்து, “நான் இம்மக்கள் கூட்டத்தின்மீது பரிவு கொள்கிறேன். ஏற்கெனவே மூன்று நாள்களாக இவர்கள் என்னுடன் இருக்கிறார்கள். உண்பதற்கும் இவர்களிடம் எதுவும் இல்லை; இவர்களைப் பட்டினியாய் அனுப்பிவிடவும் நான் விரும்பவில்லை; அனுப்பினால் வழியில் தளர்ச்சி அடைந்துவிடலாம்” என்று கூறினார். 

அதற்குச் சீடர்கள் அவரிடம், “இவ்வளவு திரளான மக்களுக்கு அளிக்கப் போதுமான உணவு நமக்குப் பாலைநிலத்தில் எங்கிருந்து கிடைக்கும்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து, “உங்களிடம் எத்தனை அப்பங்கள் உள்ளன?” என்று கேட்டார். அவர்கள், “ஏழு அப்பங்கள் உள்ளன; சில மீன்களும் இருக்கின்றன” என்றார்கள். 

தரையில் அமருமாறு மக்களுக்கு அவர் கட்டளையிட்டார். பின்பு அந்த ஏழு அப்பங்களையும் மீன்களையும் எடுத்து, கடவுளுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தி, பிட்டு, சீடர்களிடம் கொடுக்க, அவர்களும் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள். அனைவரும் வயிறார உண்டனர். மீதியாய் இருந்த துண்டுகளை ஏழு கூடைகள் நிறைய எடுத்தனர்.

In the day of the Lord

A sprig will sprout from the base of Isai; From its roots a branch grows and bears fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him; Wisdom, Consciousness, Wisdom, Energy, Intuition, Fear of the Lord - these are the things that the Spirit bestows on him. He too would have enjoyed walking in the fear of the Lord.

He gives justice only by what the eye sees; He judges only by what love hears; He will honestly give justice to the poor; Will investigate the country’s simplest case with neutrality; He will strike the wicked with the rod of the word; The breath that rises from the lips will destroy Theora. Honesty is halfway to him; The truth intercepted him.

On that day, the wolf will stay with the lamb; The leopard will lie down with the cub. The calf, the lion, and the fat bull live together; The green baby will carry them. The cow and the bear graze together; Their cubs lie down together; The lion eats straw like a calf; The milk-drinking baby virion will play in the snake's hoop; The weaned child drops his hand into the tortoise's hoop. There is no one who will do evil in all my affairs; There is no one to harm; For as the sea is full of water, so the Lord of the earth will be full of knowledge of me.

On that day, other nations will seek the root of Isaiah, the symbol of the people; The place where he rests will be majestic.
