முதல் வாசகம் 

நாம் எதைக் கேட்டாலும் கடவுள் நமக்குச் செவிசாய்க்கிறார். 

திருத்தூதர் யோவான் எழுதிய முதல் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 5: 14-21 

அன்பார்ந்தவர்களே, 

நாம் கேட்பது கடவுளுடைய திருவுளத்திற்கு ஏற்ப அமைந்திருப்பின், அவர் நமக்குச் செவிசாய்க்கிறார்; இதுவே நாம் அவர்மீது கொண்டுள்ள உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை. நாம் எதைக் கேட்டாலும் அவர் நமக்குச் செவிசாய்க்கிறார் என்று நமக்குத் தெரியும். எனவே, நாம் அவரிடம் கேட்டவற்றைப் பெறுவோம் என்னும் உறுதி நமக்கு உண்டு. 

பாவம் செய்வோர் சாவுக்குரிய பாவம் செய்யவில்லை என்று கண்டால், அவர்களுக்காகக் கடவுளிடம் வேண்டுதல் செய்யவேண்டும். கடவுளும் அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்வு அருள்வார். சாவுக்குரிய பாவமும் உண்டு. அப்பாவத்தைச் செய்வோருக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்யவேண்டும் என நான் சொல்லவில்லை. தீச்செயல் அனைத்துமே பாவம். ஆனால் எல்லாப் பாவமுமே சாவுக்குரியவை அல்ல. 

கடவுளிடமிருந்து பிறந்தோர் பாவம் செய்வதில்லை என்பது நமக்குத் தெரியும். ஏனெனில் கடவுளிடமிருந்து பிறந்தவர்களை அவர் பாதுகாக்கிறார். தீயோன் அவர்களைத் தீண்டுவதில்லை. நாம் கடவுளைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள்; ஆனால், உலகனைத்தும் தீயோனின் பிடியில் இருக்கிறது. இது நமக்குத் தெரியும். 

இறைமகன் வந்து உண்மையான இறைவனை அறிந்துகொள்ளும் ஆற்றலை நமக்குத் தந்துள்ளார். இது நமக்குத் தெரியும். நாம் உண்மையான இறைவனோடும் அவர் மகன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவோடும் இணைந்து வாழ்கிறோம். இவரே உண்மைக் கடவுள். இவரே நிலைவாழ்வு. 

பிள்ளைகளே, சிலைவழிபாட்டைக் குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

After this, Jesus went with his disciples into the Judaean countryside and stayed with them there and baptised.

John also was baptising at Aenon near Salim, where there was plenty of water, and people were going there and were being baptised.

For John had not yet been put in prison.

Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew about purification,

so they went to John and said, 'Rabbi, the man who was with you on the far side of the Jordan, the man to whom you bore witness, is baptising now, and everyone is going to him.'

John replied: 'No one can have anything except what is given him from heaven.

'You yourselves can bear me out. I said, "I am not the Christ; I am the one who has been sent to go in front of him."

'It is the bridegroom who has the bride; and yet the bridegroom's friend, who stands there and listens to him, is filled with joy at the bridegroom's voice. This is the joy I feel, and it is complete.

He must grow greater, I must grow less.

God listens to us no matter what we ask. 

A Reading from the Book of 1 John 5:14-21 

Our fearlessness towards him consists in this, that if we ask anything in accordance with his will he hears us.

And if we know that he listens to whatever we ask him, we know that we already possess whatever we have asked of him.

If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that is not a deadly sin, he has only to pray, and God will give life to this brother -- provided that it is not a deadly sin. There is sin that leads to death and I am not saying you must pray about that.

Every kind of wickedness is sin, but not all sin leads to death.

We are well aware that no one who is a child of God sins, because he who was born from God protects him, and the Evil One has no hold over him.

We are well aware that we are from God, and the whole world is in the power of the Evil One.

We are well aware also that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know the One who is true. We are in the One who is true as we are in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and this is eternal life. Children, be on your guard against false gods.

Now it happened that Jesus was in one of the towns when suddenly a man appeared, covered with a skin-disease. Seeing Jesus he fell on his face and implored him saying, 'Sir, if you are willing you can cleanse me.'

He stretched out his hand, and touched him saying, 'I am willing. Be cleansed.' At once the skin-disease left him.

He ordered him to tell no one, 'But go and show yourself to the priest and make the offering for your cleansing just as Moses prescribed, as evidence to them.'

But the news of him kept spreading, and large crowds would gather to hear him and to have their illnesses cured,

but he would go off to some deserted place and pray.

_The Holy Spirit, the water and the blood testify that Jesus is Lord._

*A Reading from the Book of 1 John 5:5-13*

Who can overcome the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

He it is who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with water alone but with water and blood, and it is the Spirit that bears witness, for the Spirit is Truth.

So there are three witnesses,

the Spirit, water and blood; and the three of them coincide.

If we accept the testimony of human witnesses, God's testimony is greater, for this is God's testimony which he gave about his Son.

Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him, and whoever does not believe is making God a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.

This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Whoever has the Son has life, and whoever has not the Son of God has not life.

I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

அக்காலத்தில் இயேசு ஓர் ஊரில் இருந்தபோது, உடலெல்லாம் தொழுநோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த ஒருவர் வந்தார். அவர் இயேசுவைக் கண்டு அவர் காலில் விழுந்து, ஆண்டவரே, நீர் விரும்பினால் எனது நோயை நீக்க உம்மால் முடியும்'' என மன்றாடினார். இயேசு கையை நீட்டி, அவரைத் தொட்டு, நான் விரும்புகிறேன்; உமது நோய் நீங்குக!'' என்றார். உடனே தொழுநோய் அவரைவிட்டு நீங்கிற்று. இயேசு அவரிடம், இதை யாருக்கும் சொல்ல வேண்டாம். நீர் போய் உம்மைக் குருவிடம் காட்டி நோய் நீங்கியதற்காக மோசே கட்டளையிட்டுள்ள காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்தும். நீர் நலமடைந்துள்ளீர் என்பதற்கு அது சான்றாகும்'' என்று கட்டளையிட்டார். ஆயினும் இயேசுவைப் பற்றிய செய்தி இன்னும் மிகுதியாகப் பரவிற்று. அவரது சொல்லைக் கேட்கவும் தங்கள் நோய்கள் நீங்கி நலம் பெறவும் பெருந்திரளான மக்கள் அவரிடம் கூடிவந்துகொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அவரோ ஆள் நடமாட்டம் இல்லாத இடங்களுக்குச் சென்று தனித்திருந்து இறைவனிடம் வேண்டிவந்தார். 

இது கிறிஸ்து வழங்கும் நற்செய்தி.

🌿08 சனவரி 2021, திருக்காட்சி விழாவுக்குப் பின் வெள்ளி 

முதல் வாசகம்: 

இயேசு இறைமகன் என்று தூய ஆவியும் நீரும் இரத்தமும் சான்று பகர்கின்றன. 

தூய யோவான் எழுதிய முதல் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 5:5-13 

இயேசு இறைமகன் என்று நம்புவோரைத் தவிர உலகை வெல்வோர் யார்?

நீராலும் இரத்தத்தாலும் வந்தவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அவர் நீரால் மட்டும் அல்ல. நீராலும் இரத்தத்தாலும் வந்தவரென தூய ஆவியார் சான்று பகர்கிறார். தூய ஆவியாரே உண்மை.

எனவே சான்று அளிப்பவை மூன்று இருக்கின்றன.

தூய ஆவியும் நீரும் இரத்தமுமே அவை. இம்மூன்றும் ஒரே நோக்கம் கொண்டவை.

மனிதர் தரும் சான்றை நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறோமே! கடவுள் தரும் சான்று அதை விட மேலானது அன்றோ! கடவுள் தம் மகனுக்குச் சான்று பகர்ந்துள்ளார்.

இறைமகன்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்டுள்ளோர் இச்சான்றைத் தம்முள் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். ஆனால், கடவுள்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாதோர் அவரைப் பொய்யராக்குகின்றனர். ஏனெனில் தம் மகனைக் குறித்து அவர் அளித்த சான்றை அவர்கள் நம்பவில்லை.

கடவுள் நமக்கு நிலை வாழ்வை அளித்துள்ளார். இந்த வாழ்வு அவர் மகனிடம் இருக்கிறது. இதுவே அச்சான்று.

இறைமகனைக் கொண்டிருப்போர் வாழ்வைக் கொண்டுள்ளனர்; அவரைக் கொண்டிராதோர் வாழ்வைக் கொண்டிரார்.

இறைமகனிடம் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டுள்ளோருக்கு நிலைவாழ்வு உண்டு என நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளுமாறு உங்களுக்கு இவற்றை எழுதுகிறேன். 

இது ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு
