_You made my house a burglar's den._

*A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke 19:45-48*

Then he went into the Temple and began driving out those who were busy trading, saying to them,  'According to scripture, my house shall be a house of prayer but you have turned it into a bandits' den.' He taught in the Temple every day. The chief priests and the scribes, in company with the leading citizens, tried to do away with him, but they could not find a way to carry this out because the whole people hung on his words.

Then I heard the voice I had heard from heaven speaking to me again. 'Go', it said, 'and take that open scroll from the hand of the angel standing on sea and land.' I went to the angel and asked him to give me the small scroll, and he said, 'Take it and eat it; it will turn your stomach sour, but it will taste as sweet as honey.' So I took it out of the angel's hand, and I ate it and it tasted sweet as honey, but when I had eaten it my stomach turned sour. Then I was told, 'You are to prophesy again, this time against many different nations and countries and languages and kings.'

அக்காலத்தில் இயேசு கோவிலுக்குள் சென்று அங்கு விற்பனை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தோரை வெளியே துரத்தத் தொடங்கினார். அவர்களிடம், `` `என் இல்லம் இறைவேண்டலின் வீடு' என்று மறைநூலில் எழுதியுள்ளதே; ஆனால் நீங்கள் இதைக் கள்வர் குகையாக்கினீர்கள்'' என்று கூறினார். இயேசு ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் கோவிலில் கற்பித்து வந்தார். தலைமைக் குருக்களும் மறைநூல் அறிஞர்களும் மக்களின் தலைவர்களும் அவரை ஒழித்துவிட வழி தேடினார்கள். ஆனால் என்ன செய்வது என்று யாருக்கும் தெரியவில்லை. ஏனென்றால் மக்கள் அனைவரும் அவர் போதனையைக் கேட்டு அவரையே பற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

14 பெருஞ்செல்வத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைவது போல்,

நான் உம் ஒழுங்குமுறைகளின்படி நடப்பதில் மகிழ்ச்சியுறுகின்றேன்.

24 ஏனெனில், உம் ஒழுங்குமுறைகள் எனக்கு இன்பம் தருகின்றன;

அவை எனக்கு அறிவுரை தருகின்றன. -பல்லவி

72 நீர் திருவாய் மலர்ந்த சட்டம், ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பொன்,

_திருத்தூதர் யோவான் எழுதிய திருவெளிப்பாட்டிலிருந்து வாசகம் 10: 8-11_

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே, விண்ணகத்திலிருந்து நான் கேட்ட குரல் என்னிடம் மீண்டும் பேசி, ``கடலின்மீதும் நிலத்தின்மீதும் நிற்கின்ற வானதூதரின் கையில் உள்ள பிரிக்கப்பட்ட சுருளேட்டை நீ போய் வாங்கிக்கொள்'' என்றது. நானும் அந்த வானதூதரிடம் சென்று, அந்தச் சிற்றேட்டை என்னிடம் தரும்படி கேட்டேன். அவரோ, ``இதை எடுத்துத் தின்றுவிடு; இது உன் வயிற்றில் கசக்கும், ஆனால் வாயில் தேனைப் போல் இனிக்கும்'' என்று என்னிடம் சொன்னார். உடனே வானதூதரின் கையிலிருந்து அந்தச் சிற்றேட்டை எடுத்துத் தின்றேன். அது என் வாயில் தேனைப் போல் இனித்தது; ஆனால் அதைத் தின்றபொழுது என் வயிற்றில் கசந்தது. ``பல்வேறு மக்களினத்தார், நாட்டினர், மொழியினர், மன்னர் பற்றி நீ மீண்டும் இறைவாக்கு உரைக்க வேண்டும்'' என்று எனக்குச் சொல்லப் பட்டது.

The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

_Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed, and so he will open the scroll and its seven seals.'_

*Revelation 5:1-10*

I saw that in the right hand of the One sitting on the throne there was a scroll that was written on back and front and was sealed with seven seals.Then I saw a powerful angel who called with a loud voice, 'Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?' But there was no one, in heaven or on the earth or under the earth, who was able to open the scroll and read it. I wept bitterly because nobody could be found to open the scroll and read it, but one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed, and so he will open the scroll and its seven seals.' Then I saw, in the middle of the throne with its four living creatures and the circle of the elders, a Lamb standing that seemed to have been sacrificed; it had seven horns, and it had seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits that God has sent out over the whole world. The Lamb came forward to take the scroll from the right hand of the One sitting on the throne, and when he took it, the four living creatures prostrated themselves before him and with them the twenty-four elders; each one of them was holding a harp and had a golden bowl full of incense which are the prayers of the saints. They sang a new hymn: You are worthy to take the scroll and to break its seals, because you were sacrificed, and with your blood you bought people for God of every race, language, people and nation and made them a line of kings and priests for God, to rule the world.

It is a blessing from the Lord.

அக்காலத்தில் இயேசு எருசலேம் நகரை நெருங்கி வந்ததும் கோவிலைப் பார்த்து அழுதார். ``இந்த நாளிலாவது அமைதிக்குரிய வழியை நீ அறிந்திருக்கக் கூடாதா? ஆனால் இப்போது அது உன் கண்களுக்கு மறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒரு காலம் வரும். அப்போது உன் பகைவர்கள் உன்னைச் சுற்றி அரண் எழுப்பி, உன்னை முற்றுகையிடுவார்கள்; உன்னையும் உன்னிடத்திலுள்ள உன் மக்களையும் எப்பக்கத்திலுமிருந்து நெருக்கி அழித்து உன்னைத் தரைமட்டமாக்குவார்கள்; மேலும் உன்னிடம் கற்கள் ஒன்றின்மீது ஒன்று இராதபடி செய்வார்கள். ஏனெனில் கடவுள் உன்னைத் தேடி வந்த காலத்தை நீ அறிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை'' என்றார்.
