Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice, the many isles be glad!

The heavens proclaim his saving justice, all nations see his glory.

Shame on all who serve images, who pride themselves on their idols; bow down to him, all you gods! (Respons)

_God has spoken to us through His Son._

*A Reading from the Book of Hebrews 1:1-6*

At many moments in the past and by many means, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets; but

in our time, the final days, he has spoken to us in the person of his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things and through whom he made the ages.

He is the reflection of God's glory and bears the impress of God's own being, sustaining all things by his powerful command; and now that he has purged sins away, he has taken his seat at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high.

So he is now as far above the angels as the title which he has inherited is higher than their own name.

To which of the angels, then, has God ever said: You are my Son, today I have fathered you, or: I shall be a father to him and he a son to me?

Again, when he brings the First-born into the world, he says: Let all the angels of God pay him homage.

அக்காலத்தில் யோவான் கைதுசெய்யப்பட்டபின், கடவுளின் நற்செய்தியைப் பறைசாற்றிக்கொண்டே இயேசு கலிலேயாவிற்கு வந்தார். ``காலம் நிறைவேறிவிட்டது. இறையாட்சி நெருங்கி வந்துவிட்டது; மனம் மாறி நற்செய்தியை நம்புங்கள்'' என்று அவர் கூறினார். அவர் கலிலேயக் கடலோரமாய்ச் சென்றபோது, சீமோனையும் அவர் சகோதரரான அந்திரேயாவையும் கண்டார். மீனவர்களான அவர்கள் கடலில் வலை வீசிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து, ``என் பின்னே வாருங்கள்; நான் உங்களை மனிதரைப் பிடிப்பவர் ஆக்குவேன்'' என்றார். உடனே அவர்கள் வலைகளை விட்டுவிட்டு அவரைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள். பின்னர், சற்று அப்பால் சென்றபோது, செபதேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபையும் அவர் சகோதரரான யோவானையும் இயேசு கண்டார். அவர்கள் படகில் வலைகளைப் பழுது பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். உடனே இயேசு அவர்களையும் அழைத்தார். அவர்களும் தங்கள் தந்தை செபதேயுவைக் கூலியாள்களோடு படகில் விட்டுவிட்டு அவர் பின்சென்றார்கள். 

இது கிறிஸ்து வழங்கும் நற்செய்தி.

கடவுள் தம் மகன் வழியாக நம்மிடம் பேசியுள்ளார். 

எபிரேயருக்கு எழுதப்பட்ட திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 1: 1-6 

பல முறை, பல வகைகளில் முற்காலத்தில் இறைவாக்கினர் வழியாக நம் மூதாதையரிடம் பேசிய கடவுள், இவ்விறுதி நாள்களில் தம் மகன் வழியாக நம்மிடம் பேசியுள்ளார்; இவரை எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் உரிமையாளராக்கினார்; இவர் வழியாக உலகங்களைப் படைத்தார். கடவுளுடைய மாட்சிமையின் சுடரொளியாகவும், அவருடைய இயல்பின் அச்சுப் பதிவாகவும் விளங்கும் இவர், தம் வல்லமைமிக்க சொல்லால் எல்லாவற்றையும் தாங்கி நடத்துகிறார். மக்களைப் பாவங்களிலிருந்து தூய்மைப்படுத்தியபின், விண்ணகத்தில் இவர் பெருமைமிக்க கடவுளின் வலப்பக்கத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறார். இவ்வாறு இறைமகன் வானதூதரைவிடச் சிறந்ததொரு பெயரை உரிமைப்பேறாகப் பெற்றார். அந்நிலைக்கு ஏற்ப அவர்களைவிட இவர் மேன்மை அடைந்தார். ஏனெனில், கடவுள் வானதூதர் எவரிடமாவது ``நீ என் மைந்தர்; இன்று நான் உம்மைப் பெற்றெடுத்தேன்'' என்றும், ``நான் அவருக்குத் தந்தையாயிருப்பேன், அவர் எனக்கு மகனாயிருப்பார்'' என்றும் எப்போதாவது கூறியதுண்டா? மேலும் அவர் தம் முதற்பேறான இவரை உலகிற்கு அனுப்பியபோது, ``கடவுளின் தூதர் அனைவரும் அவரை வழிபடுவார்களாக'' என்றார்.

And he preached, saying: "A stronger one comes after me. I am not worthy to reach down and loosen the laces of his shoes. I have baptized you with water. Yet truly, he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." And it happened that, in those days, Jesus arrived from Nazareth of Galilee. And he was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately, upon ascending from the water, he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit, like a dove, descending, and remaining with him. And there was a voice from heaven: "You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased."

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God. And everyone who loves God, who provides that birth, also loves him who has been born of God.

In this way, we know that we love those born of God: when we love God and do his commandments.

For this is the love of God: that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not heavy.

For all that is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world: our faith.

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God!

This is the One who came by water and blood: Jesus Christ. Not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit is the One who testifies that the Christ is the Truth.

For there are Three who give testimony in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. And these Three are One.

And there are three who give testimony on earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood. And these three are one.

f we accept the testimony of men, then the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony of God, which is greater: that he has testified about his Son.

All you who thirst, come to the waters. And you who have no money: hurry, buy and eat. Approach, buy wine and milk, without money and without barter.

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and expend your labor for what does not satisfy? Listen very closely to me, and eat what is good, and then your soul will be delighted by a full measure.

Incline your ear and draw near to me. Listen, and your soul will live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, by the faithful mercies of David.

Behold, I have presented him as a witness to the people, as a commander and instructor to the nations.

Behold, you will call to a nation that you did not know. And nations that did not know you will rush to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel. For he has glorified you.

Seek the Lord, while he is able to be found. Call upon him, while he is near.

Let the impious one abandon his way, and the iniquitous man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and he will take pity on him, and to our God, for he is great in forgiveness.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says the Lord.

For just as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so also are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.

And in the same manner as rain and snow descend from heaven, and no longer return there, but soak the earth, and water it, and cause it to bloom and to provide seed to the sower and bread to the hungry,

அக்காலத்தில் யோவான், என்னைவிட வலிமை மிக்க ஒருவர் எனக்குப்பின் வருகிறார். குனிந்து அவருடைய மிதியடி வாரை அவிழ்க்கக்கூட எனக்குத் தகுதியில்லை. நான் உங்களுக்குத் தண்ணீரால் திருமுழுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன்: அவரோ உங்களுக்குத் தூய ஆவியால் திருமுழுக்குக் கொடுப்பார்'' எனப் பறை சாற்றினார். அக்காலத்தில் இயேசு கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள நாசரேத்திலிருந்து வந்து யோர்தான் ஆற்றில் யோவானிடம் திருமுழுக்குப் பெற்றார். அவர் ஆற்றிலிருந்து கரையேறிய உடனே வானம் பிளவுபடுவதையும் தூய ஆவி புறாவைப் போல் தம்மீது இறங்கி வருவதையும் கண்டார். அப்பொழுது, என் அன்பார்ந்த மகன் நீயே, உன் பொருட்டு நான் பூரிப்படைகின்றேன்'' என்று வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு குரல் ஒலித்தது.
