Happy are the people whose Lord is God. 

PSALM (32 (33), 4-5, 6.9, 18-19, 20.22) 

Yes, it is upright, the word of the Lord;

he is faithful in everything he does.

He loves good law and justice;

the earth is filled with his love. R 

The Lord made the heavens by his word,

the universe by the breath of his mouth.

He spoke, and what he said existed;

he gave orders, and what he said came about. R 

God watches over those who fear him,

who put their hope in his love,

to deliver them from death,

to keep them alive in days of famine. R 

We look to the Lord for our life:

he is a support, a shield for us.

May your love, Lord, be upon us

as our hope is in you! R

A Reading from the book of Deuteronomy (4, 32-34.39-40) 

Moses said to the people: "Ask then the ancient times which preceded you, since the day when God created man on earth: from one end of the world to the other, has something so happened? great, have we ever experienced anything like it? Is there a people who heard the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire like you, and lived? Is there a god who has undertaken to choose a nation for himself, to come and take it in the midst of another, through trials, signs, wonders and battles, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and by terrifying feats - as you saw the Lord your God do for you in Egypt? Know therefore today, and meditate on this in your heart: it is the Lord who is God, above in heaven as here below on earth; There's no other. You will keep the decrees and the commandments of the Lord that I give you today, in order to have, you and your children, happiness and long life on the earth which the Lord your God gives you, every day. அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் மீண்டும் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள். இயேசு கோவிலில் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தபோது தலைமைக் குருக்கள், மறைநூல் அறிஞர்கள், மூப்பர்கள் ஆகியோர் அவரிடம் வந்து, “எந்த அதிகாரத்தால் நீர் இவற்றைச் செய்கிறீர்? இவற்றைச் செய்ய உமக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்தவர் யார்?” என்று கேட்டனர். இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக, “நானும் உங்களிடம் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் மறுமொழி கூறுங்கள். அப்போது எந்த அதிகாரத்தால் இவற்றைச் செய்கிறேன் என நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்வேன். திருமுழுக்கு அளிக்கும் அதிகாரம் யோவானுக்கு விண்ணகத்திலிருந்து வந்ததா? அல்லது மனிதரிடமிருந்து வந்ததா? எனக்குப் பதில் சொல்லுங்கள்” என்றார். அவர்கள், “ ‘விண்ணகத்திலிருந்து வந்தது’ என்போமானால், ‘பின் ஏன் அவரை நம்பவில்லை’ எனக் கேட்பார். எனவே ‘மனிதரிடமிருந்து வந்தது’ என்போமா?” என்று தங்களிடையே பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் மக்கள் அனைவரும் யோவானை ஓர் இறைவாக்கினராகக் கருதியதால் அவர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு அஞ்சினார்கள். எனவே, அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம், “எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது” என்று பதிலுரைத்தார்கள். இயேசுவும் அவர்களிடம், “எந்த அதிகாரத்தால் இவற்றைச் செய்கிறேன் என்று நானும் உங்களுக்குக் கூறமாட்டேன்” என்றார்.

எனக்கு ஞானம் புகட்டுகிறவர்களுக்கு நான் மாட்சி அளிப்பேன்.

மன்னராகிய ஆண்டவரே, உமக்கு நன்றி கூறுவேன்; உம்மைப் புகழ்வேன்; உம்முடைய பெயரைப் போற்றுவேன்.

நான் இளைஞனாய் இருந்தபோது, பயணம் மேற்கொள்ளுமுன் என்னுடைய வேண்டுதலில் வெளிப்படையாய் ஞானத்தைத் தேடினேன். கோவில் முன் அதற்காக மன்றாடினேன்; இறுதிவரை அதைத் தேடிக் கொண்டேயிருப்பேன். திராட்சை மலரும் காலத்திலிருந்து கனியும் காலம் வரை என் உள்ளம் ஞானத்தில் இன்புற்றிருந்தது.

என் காலடிகள் நேரிய வழியில் சென்றன. என் இளமையிலிருந்தே ஞானத்தைப் பின்தொடர்ந்தேன். சிறிது நேரமே செவிசாய்த்து அதைப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டேன்; மிகுந்த நற்பயிற்சியை எனக்கெனக் கண்டடைந்தேன். ஞானத்தில் நான் வளர்ச்சி அடைந்தேன்.

எனக்கு ஞானம் புகட்டுகிறவர்களுக்கு நான் மாட்சி அளிப்பேன். ஞானத்தைக் கடைப்பிடிக்க முடிவு செய்தேன்; நன்மை மீது பேரார்வம் கொண்டேன்; நான் ஒருபோதும் வெட்கமுறேன்.

நான் ஞானத்தை அடையப் போராடினேன்; திருச்சட்டத்தைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பதில் கண்டிப்புடன் இருந்தேன்; உயர் வானத்தை நோக்கி என் கைகளை உயர்த்தினேன்; ஞானத்தை நான் இதுவரை அறியாதிருந்தது பற்றிப் புலம்பினேன்.

அதன்பால் என் உள்ளத்தைச் செலுத்தினேன்; தூய்மையில் அதைக் கண்டுகொண்டேன்.

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Mark (11, 27-33) 

At that time, Jesus and his disciples returned to Jerusalem. And as Jesus came and went in the Temple, the high priests, scribes and elders came to find him. They would ask him, "By what authority do you do this?" Or who gave you this authority to do it? Jesus said to them, "I am going to ask you just one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do this: Did John's baptism come from heaven or from men? Answer me. They reasoned among themselves: "If we say: 'From heaven', he will say: 'Why then did you not believe his word?' But are we going to say: “Men”? They were afraid of the crowds because everyone felt that John was really a prophet. They therefore respond to Jesus: “We do not know! "Then Jesus said to them:" I, neither am I telling you by what authority I am doing this. "

The law of the Lord is perfect,

which gives new life;

the Lord's charter is sure,

which makes the simple wise. R 

The precepts of the Lord are upright,

they rejoice the heart;

the Lord's command is clear,

it clarifies the look. R 

The fear he inspires is pure,

it is there forever;

the Lord's decisions are just

and truly equitable: R 

more desirable than gold,

"I will give glory to the one who gives me Wisdom" 

A Reading from the book of Ben Sira the Wise (51, 12c-20) 

I want to give thanks and praise you, I will bless the name of the Lord. When I was still young and that I had not wandered here and there, in the eyes of all I sought Wisdom in my prayer. In front of the Temple, I prayed to receive her, and until the end I will seek her. From the flower to the maturity of the bunch, it has been the joy of my heart. My foot has stepped on the right path; since my youth, I have followed in his footsteps. It was enough for me to strain my ears a little to receive it, and I found great lessons in it. Thanks to her, I progressed; I will give glory to him who gives me Wisdom. I resolved to put it into practice, ardently I desired the good, and I will never have to regret it. For her, I valiantly fought, I put, in practicing the Fa, a lot of accuracy. I raised my hands to the sky, I lamented knowing her so badly. அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு எருசலேமுக்குள் சென்று கோவிலில் நுழைந்தார். அவர் அனைத்தையும் சுற்றிப் பார்த்துவிட்டு, ஏற்கெனவே மாலை வேளையாகி விட்டதால், பன்னிருவருடன் பெத்தானியாவுக்குப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்.

மறுநாள் பெத்தானியாவை விட்டு அவர்கள் திரும்பியபொழுது இயேசுவுக்குப் பசி உண்டாயிற்று. இலையடர்ந்த ஓர் அத்தி மரத்தை அவர் தொலையிலிருந்து கண்டு, அதில் ஏதாவது கிடைக்குமா என்று அதன் அருகில் சென்றார். சென்றபோது இலைகளைத் தவிர வேறு எதையும் அவர் காணவில்லை. ஏனெனில் அது அத்திப் பழக்காலம் அல்ல. அவர் அதைப் பார்த்து, “இனி உன் கனியை யாரும் உண்ணவே கூடாது” என்றார். அவருடைய சீடர்கள் இதைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள். கோவிலுக்குள் சென்றதும் இயேசு அங்கு விற்பவர்களையும் வாங்குபவர்களையும் வெளியே துரத்தத் தொடங்கினார்; நாணயம் மாற்றுவோரின் மேசைகளையும் புறா விற்பவர்களின் இருக்கைகளையும் கவிழ்த்துப்போட்டார். கோவில் வழியாக எந்தப் பொருளையும் எடுத்துச் செல்ல அவர் விடவில்லை. “ ‘என் இல்லம் மக்களினங்கள் அனைத்திற்கும் உரிய இறைவேண்டலின் வீடு என அழைக்கப்படும்’ என்று மறைநூலில் எழுதியுள்ளது” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்தார்; “ஆனால் நீங்கள் இதைக் கள்வர் குகையாக்கிவிட்டீர்கள்” என்றார்.

தலைமைக் குருக்களும் மறைநூல் அறிஞர்களும் இதைக் கேட்டு, அவரை எப்படி ஒழித்து விடலாம் என்று வழி தேடினார்கள். எனினும் கூட்டத்தினர் அனைவரும் அவரது போதனையில் ஆழ்ந்து வியந்திருந்ததால் அவர்கள் அவருக்கு அஞ்சினார்கள்.

மாலை வேளை ஆனதும் இயேசுவும் சீடர்களும் நகரத்திலிருந்து வெளியேறினார்கள். காலையில் அவர்கள் அவ்வழியே சென்றபோது அந்த அத்திமரம் வேரோடு பட்டுப்போயிருந்ததைக் கண்டார்கள். அப்போது பேதுரு நடந்ததை நினைவுகூர்ந்து அவரை நோக்கி, “ரபி, அதோ நீர் சபித்த அத்திமரம் பட்டுப்போயிற்று” என்றார்.

அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து, “கடவுள்மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: எவராவது இந்த மலையைப் பார்த்து, ‘பெயர்ந்து கடலில் விழு’ எனத் தம் உள்ளத்தில் ஐயம் எதுவுமின்றி நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூறினால், அவர் சொன்னவாறே நடக்கும். ஆகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்: நீங்கள் இறைவனிடம் வேண்டும்போது எவற்றையெல்லாம் கேட்பீர்களோ அவற்றைப் பெற்றுவிட்டீர்கள் என நம்புங்கள்; நீங்கள் கேட்டபடியே நடக்கும். நீங்கள் வேண்டுதல் செய்ய நிற்கும்போது யார் மேலாவது நீங்கள் மனத்தாங்கல் கொண்டிருந்தால், மன்னித்துவிடுங்கள். அப்போது உங்கள் விண்ணகத் தந்தையும் உங்கள் குற்றங்களை மன்னிப்பார். நீங்கள் மன்னிக்காவிட்டால் உங்கள் விண்ணகத் தந்தையும் உங்கள் குற்றங்களை மன்னிக்க மாட்டார்” என்று கூறினார்.
