When I stand under the shelter of the Most High

and rest in the shadow of the Mighty One,

I say to the Lord: “My refuge,

my rampart, my God, of whom I am sure! A 

It is he who saves you from the hunter's nets;

he covers you and protects you.

You find refuge under his wing:

his faithfulness is an armor, a shield. R 

“Since he is attached to me, I deliver him;

I defend him because he knows my name.

He calls me, and I answer him;

I am with him in his ordeal. "R

A Reading from the book of Genesis (28, 10-22a), 

In those days Jacob left Bersheba and headed for Haran. He reached the place where he was going to spend the night because the sun had set. He took a stone there to put it under his head, and slept there. He had a dream: behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, its top touching the sky, and angels of God were ascending and descending. The Lord was standing near him. He said, “I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, the God of Isaac. The earth on which you are lying, I give it to you and to your descendants. Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the ground; you will spread to the east and to the west, to the north and to the south; in you and in your descendants will be blessed all the families of the earth. Here I am with you; I will keep you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this earth; because I will not abandon you until I have accomplished what I told you. Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Verily the Lord is in this place!" And I didn't know it. "He was seized with fear and said:" How dreadful this place is! It is truly the house of God, the door to heaven! Jacob got up early in the morning, took the stone he had put under his head, raised it up to make a stele, and on top he poured oil. Jacob gave the name of Bethel (that is to say: House of God) to this place which was previously called Louz. Then Jacob pronounced this vow: "If God is with me, if he keeps me on the path where I walk, if he gives me bread to eat and clothes to cover me, and if I return safe and sound to the house of my father, the Lord shall be my God. This stone which I made a stele will be the house of God. "

✠ மாற்கு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 6: 1-6

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தமது சொந்த ஊருக்கு வந்தார். அவருடைய சீடரும் அவரைப் பின்தொடர்ந்தனர். ஓய்வு நாள் வந்தபோது அவர் தொழுகைக்கூடத்தில் கற்பிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.

அதைக் கேட்ட பலர் வியப்பில் ஆழ்ந்தனர். அவர்கள், “இவருக்கு இவையெல்லாம் எங்கிருந்து வந்தன? என்னே இவருக்கு அருளப்பட்டுள்ள ஞானம்! என்னே இவருடைய கைகளால் ஆகும் வல்ல செயல்கள்! இவர் தச்சர் அல்லவா! மரியாவின் மகன்தானே! யாக்கோபு, யோசே, யூதா, சீமோன் ஆகியோர் இவருடைய சகோதரர் அல்லவா? இவர் சகோதரிகள் இங்கு நம்மோடு இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா?” என்றார்கள். இவ்வாறு அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள அவர்கள் தயங்கினார்கள்.

இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “சொந்த ஊரிலும் சுற்றத்திலும் தம் வீட்டிலும் தவிர மற்றெங்கும் இறைவாக்கினர் மதிப்புப் பெறுவர்” என்றார். அங்கே உடல் நலமற்றோர் சிலர்மேல் கைகளை வைத்துக் குணமாக்கியதைத் தவிர வேறு வல்ல செயல் எதையும் அவரால் செய்ய இயலவில்லை. அவர்களது நம்பிக்கையின்மையைக் கண்டு அவர் வியப்புற்றார். அவர் சுற்றிலும் உள்ள ஊர்களுக்குச் சென்று கற்பித்து வந்தார்.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

ஜூலை 4 : இரண்டாம் வாசகம்நான் என் வலுவின்மையைப் பற்றித்தான் மனமுவந்து பெருமை பாராட்டுவேன். அப்போது கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமை என்னுள் தங்கும்.திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கொரிந்தியருக்கு எழுதிய இரண்டாம் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 12: 7-10

நான் என் வலுவின்மையைப் பற்றித்தான் மனமுவந்து பெருமை பாராட்டுவேன். அப்போது கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமை என்னுள் தங்கும்.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கொரிந்தியருக்கு எழுதிய இரண்டாம் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 12: 7-10

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

எனக்கு அருளப்பட்ட ஒப்புயர்வற்ற வெளிப்பாடுகளால் நான் இறுமாப்பு அடையாதவாறு பெருங்குறை ஒன்று என் உடலில் தைத்த முள்போல் என்னை வருத்திக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. அது என்னைக் குத்திக் கொடுமைப்படுத்த சாத்தான் அனுப்பிய தூதனைப்போல் இருக்கிறது. நான் இறுமாப்பு அடையாதிருக்கவே இவ்வாறு நடக்கிறது. அதை என்னிடமிருந்து நீக்கிவிடுமாறு மூன்று முறை ஆண்டவரிடம் வருந்தி வேண்டினேன். ஆனால் அவர் என்னிடம், “என் அருள் உனக்குப் போதும்; வலுவின்மையில்தான் வல்லமை நிறைவாய் வெளிப்படும்” என்றார்.

ஆதலால் நான் என் வலுவின்மையைப் பற்றித்தான் மனமுவந்து பெருமை பாராட்டுவேன். அப்போது கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமை என்னுள் தங்கும். ஆகவே என் வலுவின்மையிலும் இகழ்ச்சியிலும் இடரிலும் இன்னலிலும் நெருக்கடியிலும் கிறிஸ்துவை முன்னிட்டு நான் அகமகிழ்கிறேன். ஏனெனில் நான் வலுவற்றிருக்கும்போது வல்லமை பெற்றவனாக இருக்கிறேன்.

ஆண்டவர் என்னோடு பேசுகையில் ஆவி என்னுள் புகுந்து என்னை எழுந்து நிற்கச் செய்தது; அப்போது அவர் என்னோடு பேசியவற்றைக் கேட்டேன். அவர் என்னிடம், “மானிடா! எனக்கு எதிராகக் கிளர்ச்சி செய்யும் இனத்தாராகிய இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களிடம் நான் உன்னை அனுப்புகிறேன். இன்றுவரை அவர்களும் அவர்களுடைய மூதாதையரும் எனக்கு எதிராகக் கிளர்ந்தெழுந்து கலகம் செய்துள்ளனர்” என்றார். “வன்கண்ணும் கடின இதயமும் கொண்ட அம்மக்களிடம் நான் உன்னை அனுப்புகிறேன். நீ அவர்களிடம் போய், ‘தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே’ என்று சொல். கலக வீட்டாராகிய அவர்கள், செவிசாய்த்தாலும் சாய்க்காவிட்டாலும், தங்களிடையே ஓர் இறைவாக்கினர் வந்துள்ளார் என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளட்டும்.”

"A prophet is despised only in his country" 

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Mark (6, 1-6) 

At that time Jesus went to his place of origin, and his disciples followed him. On the Sabbath, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many listeners, struck with astonishment, said: “Where does it come from? What is this wisdom given to him, and these great miracles that are performed by his hands? Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, José, Jude and Simon? Are not his sisters here with us? And they were deeply shocked about him. Jesus said to them: “A prophet is despised only in his country, his kinship and his house. And there he could not perform any miracles; he only heals a few sick people by laying his hands on them. And he was amazed at their lack of faith. So Jesus would go through the surrounding villages teaching. 

- Let us acclaim the Word of God.

SECOND READING 

"I will put my pride in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me" 

Reading from the second letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Corinthians (12, 7-10) 

Brethren, the revelations that I have received are so extraordinary that, to keep from overestimating myself, I have received in my flesh a thorn, a messenger of Satan who is there to slap me, to keep me from overestimating myself. Three times I prayed to the Lord to take him away from me. But he declared to me: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power gives its full measure in weakness. It is therefore very willingly that I will rather put my pride in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may make its home in me. That is why I wholeheartedly accept for Christ the weaknesses, the insults, the constraints, the persecutions and the distressing situations. Because when I am weak, that is when I am strong.

My eyes are raised

towards you , towards you who art in heaven,

like the eyes of a slave

Like the eyes of a servant

our eyes, lifted up to the Lord our God,

await her pity. R 

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us:

our soul is full of contempt.

It is too much, we are satisfied with the laughter of the satisfied,

A Reading from the book of the prophet Ezekiel (2, 2-5) 

In those days the spirit came into me and made me stand up. I listened to whoever was talking to me. He said to me: “Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me. To this day, they and their fathers have risen up against me. The sons have a hard face and a stubborn heart; I am sending you to them. You will say to them: “Thus saith the Lord God…” So whether they listen or they do not listen - it is a breed of rebels! - they will know that there is a prophet among them. "
