தாம் தேர்ந்துகொண்டவர்களுக்கு கடவுள் நீதி வழங்காமல் இருப்பாரா?

லூக்கா எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 18: 1-8

அக்காலத்தில் மனந்தளராமல் எப்பொழுதும் இறைவனிடம் மன்றாட வேண்டும் என்பதற்கு இயேசு ஓர் உவமை சொன்னார். ``ஒரு நகரில் நடுவர் ஒருவர் இருந்தார். அவர் கடவுளுக்கு அஞ்சி நடப்பதில்லை; மக்களையும் மதிப்பதில்லை.

அந்நகரில் கைம்பெண் ஒருவரும் இருந்தார். அவர் நடுவரிடம் போய், `என் எதிரியைத் தண்டித்து எனக்கு நீதி வழங்கும்' என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டேயிருந்தார்.

நடுவரோ, நெடுங்காலமாய் எதுவும் செய்ய விரும்பவில்லை. பின்பு அவர், `நான் கடவுளுக்கு அஞ்சுவதில்லை; மக்களையும் மதிப்பதில்லை. என்றாலும் இக்கைம்பெண் எனக்குத் தொல்லை கொடுத்துக்கொண்டிருப்பதால் நான் இவருக்கு நீதி வழங்குவேன். இல்லையானால் இவர் என் உயிரை வாங்கிக்கொண்டேயிருப்பார்' என்று தமக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்.''

பின் ஆண்டவர் அவர்களிடம், ``நேர்மையற்ற நடுவரே இப்படிச் சொன்னார் என்றால், தாம் தேர்ந்துகொண்டவர்கள் அல்லும் பகலும் தம்மை நோக்கிக் கூக்குரலிடும்போது கடவுள் அவர்களுக்கு நீதி வழங்காமல் இருப்பாரா? அவர்களுக்குத் துணை செய்யக் காலம் தாழ்த்துவாரா? விரைவில் அவர்களுக்கு நீதி வழங்குவார் என நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.

ஆயினும் மானிடமகன் வரும்போது மண்ணுலகில் நம்பிக்கையைக் காண்பாரோ?'' என்றார்.

இது கிறிஸ்து வழங்கும் நற்செய்தி.

எல்லாம் அமைதியில் ஆழ்ந்திருந்தபோது, நள்ளிரவு கடந்துவிட்ட வேளையில், எல்லாம் வல்ல உம் சொல் விண்ணகத்திலுள்ள அரியணையைவிட்டு எழுந்து, அஞ்சா நெஞ்சம் கொண்ட போர் வீரனைப் போல் அழிவுக்கெனக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட நாட்டின் மீது வந்து பாய்ந்தது.

உமது தெளிவான கட்டளையாகிய கூரிய வாளை ஏந்தியவண்ணம் அது நின்று கொண்டு, எல்லாவற்றையும் சாவினால் நிரப்பியது; மண்ணகத்தில் கால் ஊன்றியிருந்த போதிலும், விண்ணகத்தைத் தொட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தது. உம் பிள்ளைகள் தீங்கின்றிக் காக்கப்படும்படி, படைப்பு முழுவதும் உம் கட்டளைகளுக்குப் பணிந்து, மீண்டும் தன் இயல்பில் புத்துயிர் பெற்றது. அவர்களது பாசறைக்கு முகில் நிழல் கொடுத்தது. முன்பு தண்ணீர் இருந்த இடத்தில் பின்பு உலர்ந்த தரை தோன்றிற்று.

செங்கடலினூடே தங்குதடை இல்லாத வழியும், சீறிப்பாயும் அலைகளினூடே புல்திடலும் உண்டாயின. உமது கைவன்மையால் காப்பாற்றப்பட்ட மக்கள் அனைவரும் அவ்வழியே கடந்து சென்றனர். உம்முடைய வியத்தகு செயல்களை உற்றுநோக்கிய வண்ணம் சென்றனர். குதிரைகளைப் போலக் குதித்துக் கொண்டும், ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப் போலத் துள்ளிக்கொண்டும், தங்களை விடுவித்த ஆண்டவராகிய உம்மைப் புகழ்ந்துகொண்டே சென்றனர்.

இது ஆண்டவர் வழங்கும் அருள்வாக்கு.

At that time: Jesus told his disciples a parable, to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterwards he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

A reading from the book of Wisdom 18:14-16,19:6-9 

While gentle silence enveloped all things, and night in its swift course was now half gone, your all-powerful word leaped from heaven, from the royal throne, into the midst of the land that was doomed, a stern warrior carrying the sharp sword of your authentic command, and stood and filled all things with death and touched heaven while standing on the earth. For the whole creation in its nature was fashioned anew, complying with your commands, that your children might be kept unharmed. The cloud was seen overshadowing the camp, and dry land emerging where water had stood before, an unhindered way out of the Red Sea, and a grassy plain out of the raging waves, where those protected by your hand passed through as one nation, after gazing on marvellous wonders. For they ranged like horses and leaped like lambs, praising you, O Lord, who delivered them.

How have those who investigated the world been so slow to find its Master?

A reading from the book of Wisdom 13:1-9 

All men who were ignorant of God were foolish by nature; and they were unable from the good things that are seen to know him who exists, nor did they recognize the artisan while paying heed to his works; but they supposed that either fire or wind or swift air or the circle of the stars or turbulent water or the luminaries of heaven were the gods that rule the world. If through delight in the beauty of these things people assumed them to be gods, let them know how much better than these is their Lord, for the author of beauty created them. And if people were amazed at their power and working, let them perceive from them how much more powerful is he who formed them. For from the greatness and beauty of created things comes a corresponding perception of their Creator. Yet these people are little to be blamed, for perhaps they go astray while seeking God and desiring to find him. For as they live among his works they keep searching, and they trust in what they see, because the things that are seen are beautiful. Yet again, not even they are to be excused; for if they had the power to know so much that they could investigate the world, how did they fail to find sooner the Lord of these things?
