எனக்கு ஏன் தீராத வேதனை? நீ திரும்பி வந்தால் என்முன் வந்து நிற்பாய்

இறைவாக்கினர் எரேமியா நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 15: 10, 16-21

நாடெங்கும் சண்டை சச்சரவுக்குக் காரணமான என்னைப் பெற்றெடுத்த என் தாயே, எனக்கு ஐயோ கேடு! நான் கடன் கொடுக்கவும் இல்லை; கடன் வாங்கியதும் இல்லை. எனினும் எல்லாரும் என்னைச் சபிக்கிறார்கள்.

நான் உம் சொற்களைக் கண்டடைந்தேன்; அவற்றை உட்கொண்டேன்; உம் சொற்கள் எனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி தந்தன; என் உள்ளத்திற்கு உவகை அளித்தன. ஏனெனில் படைகளின் ஆண்டவரே, உம் பெயரே எனக்கு வழங்கலாயிற்று.

களியாட்டக் கூட்டங்களில் அமர்ந்து நான் மகிழ்ச்சி கொண்டாடவில்லை. உம் கை என்மேல் இருந்ததால் நான் தனியனாய் இருந்தேன். சினத்தால் நீர் என்னை நிரப்பியிருந்தீர். எனக்கு ஏன் தீராத வேதனை? குணமாகாக் கொடிய காயம்? நீர் எனக்குக் கானல் நீரென, ஏமாற்றும் ஓடையென ஆகிவிட்டீரோ!

எனவே, ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே: “நீ திரும்பி வந்தால் நான் உன்னை முன்னைய நிலைக்குக் கொண்டு வருவேன். என்முன் வந்து நிற்பாய்; பயனில நீக்கிப் பயனுள பேசின், நீ என் இறைவாக்கினனாக இருப்பாய். அவர்கள் உன்னிடம் திரும்பி வருவார்கள்; நீ அவர்களிடம் திரும்ப வேண்டாம். நான் உன்னை அவர்கள்முன் வலிமை வாய்ந்த வெண்கலச் சுவராக்குவேன்; அவர்கள் உனக்கு எதிராய்ப் போராடுவார்கள்; ஆனால், உன்மேல் வெற்றிகொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்; ஏனெனில் உன்னை விடுவிக்கவும் காக்கவும் நான் உன்னோடு இருக்கிறேன், என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். தீயோரின் கையினின்று நான் உன்னைக் காப்பேன்; முரடரின் பிடியினின்று உன்னை மீட்பேன்.”

Woe is me, my mother, that you bore me, a man of strife and contention to the whole land! I have not lent, nor have I borrowed, yet all of them curse me. Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts. I did not sit in the company of revellers, nor did I rejoice; I sat alone, because your hand was upon me, for you had filled me with indignation. Why is my pain unceasing, my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will you be to me like a deceitful brook, like waters that fail? Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தினரை அனுப்பிவிட்டு வீட்டுக்குள் வந்தார். அப்போது அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரருகே வந்து, “வயலில் தோன்றிய களைகள் பற்றிய உவமையை எங்களுக்கு விளக்கிக் கூறும்” என்றனர். அதற்கு அவர் பின்வருமாறு கூறினார்:

“நல்ல விதைகளை விதைப்பவர் மானிட மகன்; வயல், இவ்வுலகம்; நல்ல விதைகள், கடவுளின் ஆட்சிக்குட்பட்ட மக்கள்; களைகள், தீயோனைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள்; அவற்றை விதைக்கும் பகைவன், அலகை; அறுவடை, உலகின் முடிவு; அறுவடை செய்வோர், வானதூதர்.

எவ்வாறு களைகளைப் பறித்துத் தீக்கிரையாக்குவார்களோ அவ்வாறே உலக முடிவிலும் நடக்கும். மானிட மகன் தம் வானதூதரை அனுப்புவார். அவர்கள் அவருடைய ஆட்சிக்குத் தடையாக உள்ள அனைவரையும் நெறி கெட்டோரையும் ஒன்றுசேர்ப்பார்கள்; பின் அவர்களைத் தீச்சூளையில் தள்ளுவார்கள். அங்கே அழுகையும் அங்கலாய்ப்பும் இருக்கும். அப்போது நேர்மையாளர் தம் தந்தையின் ஆட்சியில் கதிரவனைப் போல் ஒளி வீசுவர். கேட்கச் செவியுள்ளோர் கேட்கட்டும்.”

And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.” He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all lawbreakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease, for the virgin daughter of my people is shattered with a great wound, with a very grievous blow. If I go out into the field, behold, those pierced by the sword! And if I enter the city, behold, the diseases of famine! For both prophet and priest ply their trade through the land and have no knowledge.’” Have you utterly rejected Judah? Does your soul loathe Sion? Why have you struck us down so that there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; for a time of healing, but behold, terror. We acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you. Do not spurn us, for your name’s sake; do not dishonour your glorious throne; remember and do not break your covenant with us. Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O Lord our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things.
