“Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod! " 

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark (8, 14-21) 

At that time, the disciples forgot to take bread; they only had one loaf of bread with them in the boat. But Jesus made this recommendation to them: “Be careful! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod! But they were arguing among themselves about this lack of bread. Jesus realizes this and says to them, “Why are you arguing about this lack of bread? Don't you get it? Don't you understand yet? Do you have a hard heart? You have eyes and you can't see, you have ears and you can't hear! You do not remember ? When I broke the five loaves for five thousand people, how many baskets full of pieces did you collect? They answered him: "Twelve. - And when I broke seven for four thousand, how many baskets have you filled while collecting the pieces? They answered him: "Seven." He said to them: "You do not understand yet? "
