📖GOSPEL
"Whoever is not with me is against me"
A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Luke (11, 14-23)
At that time, Jesus was casting out a demon that made a man dumb. When the demon was out, the mute began to speak, and the crowds were in awe. But some of them said: "It is by Beelzebub, the leader of the demons, that he expels the demons. Others, in order to test him, sought to obtain a sign from him from heaven. Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself becomes desert, its houses crumble on top of each other. If Satan, too, is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? You say indeed that it is by Béelzéboul that I expel the demons. But if it is by Beelzebub that I expel them, your disciples, by whom do they expel them? From then on, they will themselves be your judges. On the other hand, if it is by the finger of God that I expel demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you. When the strong, well-armed man guards his palace, all that belongs to him is safe. But if a stronger one comes along and triumphs over him, he takes away his armament, which he trusted, and he distributes all that he has robbed him of. He who is not with me is against me; he who does not gather with me scatters. " he who does not gather with me scatters. " he who does not gather with me scatters. "
