Respons: It is I, the Lord your God, listen to my voice.
Psalm 80 (81)
I hear words that were unknown to me:
“I took the weight off his shoulders;
his hands have laid down the burden.
When you cried out under oppression, I saved you. R
"I answered, hidden in the storm,
I tested you near the waters of Mériba.
Listen, I adjure you, O my people;
will you listen to me, Israel? R
"You will not have other gods in your home,
you will not serve any foreign god."
It is I, the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of the land of Egypt! R
“Ah! If my people would listen to me,
Israel, if they would follow my paths!
I would feed him with the flower of wheat,
I would satisfy him with honey from the rock! "R
