A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To John (15, 26 - 16, 4a)
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: "When the Advocate cometh, whom I will send to you from the Father, he, the Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness on my behalf. And you too will bear testimony, for you have been with me from the beginning. I am speaking to you thus, so that you will not be scandalized. You will be excluded from meetings. Moreover, the hour is coming when all those who kill you will imagine that they are worshiping God. They will do this, because they have not known the Father or me. Now, here's why I'm telling you this: When the time is right, you'll remember that I told you. "
