FIRST READING
"I am finishing my course and the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus"
A Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (20, 17-27)
In those days, from Miletus, Paul sent a message to Ephesus to summon the Elders of that Church. When they came to him, he spoke to them: “You know how I have always behaved with you, since the first day I set foot in Asia: I served the Lord in all humility, in the tears and the trials which the conspiracies of the Jews have brought to me; I did not neglect anything that was useful in preaching the Gospel to you and teaching you in public or from house to house. I testified before Jews and Greeks that they would convert to God and believe in our Lord Jesus. And now, here I am, compelled by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that the Holy Spirit testifies, from city to city, that chains and trials await me. But in no case do I value my life, as long as I complete my course and the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus: bearing witness to the gospel of the grace of God. And now I know that you will never see my face again, all of you that I passed by proclaiming the Kingdom. This is why I certify today before you that I am pure from the blood of all, because I have neglected nothing to announce to you the whole plan of God. " This is why I certify today before you that I am pure from the blood of all, because I have neglected nothing to announce to you the whole plan of God. " This is why I certify today before you that I am pure from the blood of all, because I have neglected nothing to announce to you the whole plan of God. "
The Word of the Lord.
