📖GOSPEL 

Alleluia. Alleluia.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven,

says the Lord;

if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.

Alleluia.  

"This is my body, this is my blood" 

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Mark (14, 12-16.22-26) 

On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when the Paschal Lamb was sacrificed, Jesus' disciples said to him: "Where do you want us to go and make the preparations for you to eat the Passover?" "He sends two of his disciples saying to them:" Go into the city; a man carrying a jug of water will come to meet you. Follow him, and where he will enter, say to the owner: “The Master makes you say: Where is the room where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?” He will indicate to you, on the floor, a large room arranged and ready for a meal. Make the preparations there for us. The disciples left, went to the city; they found everything as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

During the meal, Jesus, having taken bread and pronounced the blessing, broke it, gave it to them, and said: “Take, this is my body. Then, taking a cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. And he said to them, “This is my blood, the blood of the Covenant, shed for the multitude. Truly, I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine any more until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God. "

After singing psalms, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
