SECOND READING
"John the Baptist prepared the coming of Jesus"
Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (13, 22-26)
In those days, in the synagogue of Antioch in Pisidia, Paul said to the Jews: "God raised up David as king for our fathers, and he bore him this testimony: I have found David the son of Jesse. ; it is a man according to my heart who will carry out all my wishes. From the offspring of David, God, according to the promise, brought out a savior for Israel: it is Jesus, whose advent John the Baptist prepared by proclaiming before him a baptism of conversion for all the people of Israel. At the end of his race, Jean said: “What you think I am, I am not. But here he comes after me, and I'm not worthy to take the sandals off his feet. ” You, brethren, the sons of the line of Abraham and those among you who fear God, it is to us that the word of salvation has been sent.
- Word of the Lord.

You, little child,
