GOSPEL
“Marthe, Marthe, you are worried and you are agitated for many things”
Alleluia. Alleluia.
I am the light of the world, says the Lord.
Whoever follows me will have the light of life.
Alleluia. (cf. Jn 8,12)
Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 10, 38-42
At that time,
Jesus entered a village.
A woman named Marthe received him.
She had a sister called Mary
who, having sat down at the feet of the Lord, listened to his word.
As for Marthe, she was monopolized
by the many occupations of the service.
She stepped in and said,
"Lord, do you
mind that my sister let me do the service alone?"
Tell him to help me. "
The Lord answered her:
" Martha, Martha, you are worried
and you are agitated for many things.
Only one is needed.
Mary has chosen the best part,
it will not be taken from her. "
- Let us acclaim the Word of God.
