RESPONSORIAL
Respons: Remember us, Lord,
in your kindness to your people.
Psalm: 105 (106), 6.35, 36-37, 39-40, 43ab.44 (cf. Ps 105, 4)
With our fathers, we sinned,
we failed and denied.
They will mingle with the pagans,
they will learn their way of acting.
So they serve their idols,
and for them it was a trap:
they offer their sons and daughters
as sacrifices to demons.
Such practices defile them;
they prostitute themselves by such actions.
And the Lord catches fire against his people:
his heirs horrify him.
So many times delivered by God,
they persist in their idea,
And he looks at their distress
when he hears their cries.
