June 7th : Second Reading
That there is only one loaf means that, though we are many, we form one body
A Reading from the First Letter of St.Paul to the Corinthians 10: 16-17
Brethren: The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
The Word of the Lord.

V. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. says the Lord; If anyone eats of this bread, he will live for ever.
