📖GOSPEL

"Thus it is written that Christ would suffer, that he would rise from the dead on the third day"

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Luke (24, 35-48)
At that time, the disciples returning from Emmaus were telling the eleven Apostles and their companions what had happened on the road, and how the Lord had made himself known by them at the breaking of bread.
As they were still talking about it, he himself was present among them, and said to them: “Peace be with you! Seized with fear and fear, they thought they saw a spirit. Jesus said to them, “Why are you upset? And why these thoughts that arise in your heart? See my hands and my feet: it's me! Touch me, look: a spirit has no flesh and bones as you see I have. After that, he showed them his hands and feet. In their joy, they did not yet dare to believe it, and remained seized with astonishment. Jesus said to them, “Do you have something to eat here? They presented him with a slice of grilled fish which he took and ate in front of them. Then he said to them: “These are the words I spoke to you when I was still with you: “Everything that has been written about me in the law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” So he opened their minds to understanding the Scriptures. He said to them: "Thus it is written that Christ would suffer, that he would rise from the dead on the third day, and that conversion would be proclaimed in his name, for the forgiveness of sins, to all nations, in starting with Jerusalem. It's up to you to be the witnesses. " It's up to you to be the witnesses. " It's up to you to be the witnesses. "

SUNDAY APRIL 18, 2021 SECOND READING "It is he who obtains forgiveness of our sins and those of the whole world" Reading from the first letter of Saint John (2, 1-5a)

SUNDAY APRIL 18, 2021

SECOND READING

"It is he who obtains forgiveness of our sins and those of the whole world"

Reading from the first letter of Saint John (2, 1-5a)
My little children, I am writing this to you so that you may avoid sin. But if one of us comes to sin, we have a defender before the Father: Jesus Christ, the Righteous. It is he who, by his sacrifice, obtains the forgiveness of our sins, not only of ours, but also of those of the whole world. This is how we know we know him: if we keep his commandments. He who says, "I know him," and who does not keep his commandments, is a liar: the truth is not in him. But in one who keeps his word, the love of God truly reaches perfection.

The Word of the Lord.

🌿Gospel Acclamation.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah! Lord Jesus, explain the Scriptures to us. Make your heart burn when you talk to us. Hallelujah.

"You killed the Prince of life, he whom God raised from the dead"

Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (3, 13-15.17-19)
In those days Peter spoke before the people: “Men of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, while you, you had handed him over, you had denied him in the presence of Pilate, who was determined to release him. You have denied the Holy and the Righteous, and you have asked for the grace of a murderer. You have killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, we are witnesses. Besides, brothers, I know very well that you acted in ignorance, you and your leaders. But God thus fulfilled what he had announced in advance by the mouths of all the prophets: that Christ, his Messiah, would suffer. Convert then and turn to God so that your sins are blotted out. "

"They saw Jesus walking on the sea"

A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To John (6, 16-21)

In the evening, Jesus' disciples went down to the sea. They embarked to reach Capernaum, on the other shore. It was already darkness, and Jesus had not yet joined the disciples. A great wind was blowing, and the sea was rough. The disciples had rowed a distance of twenty-five or thirty stadia (that is, about five thousand yards), when they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat. So they were seized with fear. But he said to them, “It's me. Don't be afraid anymore. The disciples wanted to take him in the boat; Immediately the boat touched down where they were going.

SATURDAY APRIL 17, 2021

FIRST READING

They chose seven men filled with the Holy Spirit

Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (6, 1-7)
In those days, as the number of disciples increased, the Greek-speaking brethren complained against the Hebrew-speaking ones, because the widows in their group were at a disadvantage in daily service. The Twelve then called together all the disciples and said to them: “It is not good that we forsake the word of God to serve at tables. Rather, brothers, seek seven of you, men who are esteemed by all, filled with the Holy Spirit and with wisdom, and we will establish them in this office. As far as we are concerned, we will remain assiduous in prayer and in the service of the Word. These words pleased everyone, and they chose: Stephen, a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit, Philip, Procore, Nicanor, Timon, Parménas and Nicolas, a convert to Judaism, originally from Antioch.
The word of God was fruitful, the number of disciples greatly increased in Jerusalem, and a large crowd of Jewish priests came to obey the faith.
